  1. How can I contact a guest sailing on a Royal Caribbean ship? A You can contact guests 24 hrs a day by calling +1 888 724 7447 and following the prompts to specify the ship you need to contact. The cost is $7.95 USD per minute and each call is limited to 10 minutes in duration. Please note that Visa and MasterCard are the only accepted forms of payment for this service. However I am always more comfortable having the internet package and being able to email/text my family.
  2. True.....and also some adults can be just as noisy 😬
  3. We have two SurfSide Suites (11709 & 11705) booked for May. One will have our DS, DIL and a 6 & 10 year old). We were supposed to have two of our other grandkids in with us in the 2nd one but now they can't go and will have them as "no shows" since I don't want to take the chance of RCI changing our cabin.. I have no concerns about any noise issues as it can't be as bad as the Boardwalk Balconies our extended family had on Harmony. OP try for an UpBid worth it to take a chance.
  4. What other's have bid and or received, there is no way to compare this to what may or may not happen to you.
  5. Sorry to hijack but I'm probably one of the few that has stopped booking AA since they have no seatback entertainment on most of their domestic fleet. I feel this was a big mistake. Not everyone can opt to use a personal device. So I mainly fly DL (first/bus) although I did recently fly UA on their Dreamliner and it was very impressive.
  6. That's too bad. I wrongly assumed you would have similar flights as we've had from LAX to YQB. Regardless, sounds like you're doing what will work out for you. Enjoy Quebec and your cruise.
  7. The ones you get from the port staff are not flimsy. Their the exact same as you get from the airlines. We cruise frequently 4+ times a year and have never had a tag go missing.
  8. Make it easier on both of you and fly directly to Quebec City. Several hotels in the upper area around the Frontenac Hotel. Taxi to hotel and to ship.
  9. We used Cruise Control also. There were 6 of us (4 adults and 2 kids) we did self disembark at 8:00am and they where waiting for us. Couldn't have been easier for our noon flight. Corey and his drivers are the best !! 888 416-8830
  10. We don't bother with all this. Getting them (airline type) at the port works easier for us.
  11. Policy is, it's the date final payment is due not the date you opt to pay. So a credit to the card used to make the FP.
  12. No.....They do not. One small thing I did noticed recently. For an early self departure the suites and the ones with the Key were all told to be in a specific location for disembarkation. The SL concierge walked those of us in a suite off first and the Key people had to wait and then were accompanied by the DL concierge.
  13. And you will also have to pay the increase in gratuities.
  14. Please post when someone knows where Capt Johnny will be. We were hoping to have him on our May 18th Icon.
  15. Yes....Regardless of what she was she started our cruise addiction. Our first few cabins on her were below the water line 😮
  16. We started sailing from San Pedro with RCI back in the early 1990's. The 7 night Mexican Riviera is one of our favorites and sail as often as we can, usually at least twice a year. We've come a long way from Azure of the Seas, Viking Serenade, Mariner and then Navigator. We waited a long time for RCI to bring back a ship to our west coast after the H1N1 flu hit and Mariner left. Getting Navigator was a huge thing for us and we've been so glad to have her. If she continues...great.... if another ship takes her place that's just fine. Also for those of you that are assuming the Navigator isn't selling well you are completely wrong.
  17. We loved our room at Auberge Place d' Armes. Had a beautiful view right across from the Chateau Frontenac. An amazing location for our pre cruise stay.
  18. We've used Budget pick up at FLL and returned to their Miami road location and were then shuttled to port...very quick and easy....If you're a Costco member check out rates.
  19. That's a tough one that late at night. Why aren't you just staying near MCO and shuttle the next morning to the port?
  20. We always check in on line. We only use the app once onboard. Keep checking your cruise planner for anything you want to book or purchase. When checking in you'll need your document (passport info) and a credit card for onboard purchases. We give one but opt to pay cash at the end of cruise. No picture (selfie) needed.
  21. You can also get them online from your local bank. We use BofA and do this when their needed. Pick up is usually about 2-3 days.
  22. Same for us. The only reason I booked the Icon for our extended family (and glad I did opening day for this May) was that the family was excited about it. We enjoy the other classes of ship and those are where we'll be cruising going forward. I think we got a pretty good rate and why I suppose I got an email from RCI asking us if we wanted to change our cruise. I'm sure they knew they could get a much higher price than what we got it for.
  23. There is a SL right??? We'll be in a SurfSide Suite in May.
