  1. We sailed with RCI this past March and had no trouble getting of the ship in these ports and DIY.
  2. Absolutely...you can upgrade at prevailing rates keeping your same booking number. Call to have this done if you booked directly with RCI or TA if you used one. Enjoy your balcony !!

    Vanilla

We've purchased real vanilla in Mexico and the Caribbean and have found that actually the Kirkland brand pure vanilla is the best. So if you have a Costco by you give it a try.
  4. Staying in a suite on Harmony we just showed our Seapass for early entry and reserved seating for the Aqua Show and the ice show.
  5. This will depend on the carrier you're using and the class of service also. We've been able to check in our luggage very early on DL or AA when flying business/first.
  6. Agree...however...on many of our RCI cruises the suites (GS & OS) have been under public areas. No way getting around that on certain classes of ships but luckily it hasn't been a problem so far.
  7. I would love if RCI offered an itinerary I did a few years ago...Singapore to Shanghai. I'm actually not interested in Japan at all.
  8. Sorry you misunderstood my response...I was saying with the key you dropped it off at a specific area and "you" couldn't drop off at your cabin.
  9. Yes...It was. The bar set up in the lobby was just amazing and the snacks, sodas and juice. Our room had drinks set up also....and the cooked to order breakfast was just wonderful. We had an amazing view of the canal from our corner front suite. Will definitely stay there again.
  10. We considered this hotel also but opted for the Banks Mansion. Sounds like we were both happy with our choices. The all inclusive at the Banks was very impressive as was the location.
  11. Landing that late why not just taxi/Uber/Lyft to your hotel. If you need a rental for a few pre-cruise days check out pricing Costco if you're a member. Check out locations with each company based on where your hotel is vs the cruise port.
  12. Yes...sometimes this is offered but to a specific area ... not to your cabin.
  13. For us and our extended family that included the grandkids. The Water Park cabana we had was great this past April !!!!
  14. We usually go to Costco if there's one close by. The one in China ... interesting.
  15. Getting to Maho (via shared taxi from the taxi stand) that late and back to your ship in time might be a concern. We usually leave Maho around 1:00pm. Best of luck.
  16. At Your Service is a great option. We had an amazing tour with them booked with some rollcall members.
  17. No reason to book with the cruiseline....Try Chillkoot...We did an amazing tour with them.
  18. We just also did the Arctic Circle on Jewel....We certainly didn't do this itinerary for onboard entertainment and we didn't go to one show and we loved the Jewel.
  19. I really don't care what Japan does. The Singapore-Shanghai I was referring to didn't include Japan.
  20. All of the above...mainly standing in the loooong line that wound it's way through the main terminal and be allowed to go down the steps to the lower floor where customs was....It was crazy !!!
  21. Sorry...this isn't always true...conditions change. We book where our cabin is based on other factors important to us.
  22. We've found the easiest way is to just call RCI directly for what's available if you have a certain date in mind.
  23. When will we see any Shanghai options ? Would love to do the Singapore-Shanghai we did a few years ago on RCI.
  24. We've cruised RCI Alaska itinerary a few times mid/end of May. Only the hot tubs are heated and I've never seen them close the pools. Usually the solarium pool is open to families during certain times on these itineraries when there's cold weather or rain. Check the cruise Compass for details.
  25. We're also on that cruise and it's indeed San Pedro (our home port)...RCI only sails from San Pedro. Looking forward to this itinerary !!!
