  1. If you're docking at the old town port on a day port just walk across the street and you'll be in the center of Old Town. San Juan is a very walkable port stop. I doubt very much you're going to find a taxi van that will hold eleven people. As far as the chocolate factory are you talking about the Chocobar ? If so it's a restaurant again an easy walk from the port dock. Cable car in Old San Juan...Sorry we've been (sailed out of) San Juan many times and never done or heard of this. Their used to be a trolley that would take you to the forts but that disappeared since covid. Don't stress about a day stop in San Juan...it's an easy port. If you need an excursion check out your cruiseline options or private vendor's.
  2. Agree...RCI should include the internet pkg. for all occupants sailing in GS's and above regardless of which ship in the fleet you're sailing on.
  3. We used our firestick with very little to no problems on our recent Arctic Circle cruise.
  4. No drink or WiFi package included on this class of ship. And certainly no Genie's. Your SL/CL concierge can arrange for anything you may need. Shows can be taken care of once you board by your concierge...anything other than that you can respond to the email the concierge will send you a week before your cruise.
  5. Hmmmm...I flew DL in July to board my RCI cruise and no such form was required to fly to Amsterdam. A bit confused why UA is requiring this form if other US carriers aren't ??? Did you note on this form it's for a "Visa Application" so not sure why you need a visa to board a cruise ship !!! I think there's some confusion about the need for this form.
  6. I would assume it's a one time credit toward booking one excursion. However you might want to check with just who gave you the credit and the cruiseline.
  7. Yes I heard about this several weeks ago. As if things weren't hard enough to fulfill the Canadian ArrivCan policy, now this...Oh My !!!
  8. Thank you, so much for responding. This need for a 2nd submission considering our day of cruise arrival into Canada has completely caught me off guard. I also thought I understood the Canada policy...apparently not. Very disappointed that with same day arrivals and going directly to Canada Place is less than two hours of entering their country and boarding a cruise ship, that Canada is making things so confusing and difficult for some to manage. So glad my persistent questions (annoying obviously to some and mistaken for rudeness by one poster) has helped you too. I very much appreciate the help posters have given me and the time they've taken to clarify this whole situation. You have a great cruise too.
  9. WOW...Assuming I'm being "rude" absolutely unnecessary !!! But thanks for that !!!
  10. How nice it would be to do both ArriveCan before we leave ... just confusing that we need one to arrive AND one to board the ship arriving into Canada and boarding the ship in under two hours. Yes we're all vaxed and will each have our negative test (hard copies in hand) results done within 24 hours of boarding the ship. As I've prepared for this cruise (booked long before some of this ArrivCan policy) I completely understood the requirement to submit it 72 hours before arriving. However what's new is the need to do a 2nd one within the same 72 hours. Sorry some of you don't understand the confusion that has just popped up at least for us. Especially since we do everything on a desktop or laptop ... never on our iPhone. Just old school which some of you really don't/can't/care to understand.
  11. Love those old memories...Being OLD and remembering is better than the other option.
  12. No problem...On our July cruise my DH's favorite bar staff guy even saw that I hadn't used all my daily vouchers by each evening and put them on my card (without me or my card even being there). Worked out great for DH
  13. I'll assume the key word here is "did"...Haven't seen this in years as being something the CL did used to offer.
  14. Sorry, you can't as you must book onboard...this really isn't difficult at all.
  15. ou must also submit a second ArriveCAN submission no more than 72 hours before boarding the cruise. This applies even if your second ArriveCAN submission is within 72 hours of the first submission. This is where the (my) confusion is ????
  16. I'm sorry you have "Misread" my post. Of Course I'll submit the ArrivCan within 72 hours of boarding my flight from LAX-YVR before I leave home. Where I'm now confused is the info (posted) that I will have to submit another form when I arrive into Canada even if I'm arriving easily within that 72 hours and going directly to my ship. Yes...my cruise is a round trip from Vancouver. So thanks for answering that part of my post.
  17. I would have to say it's doubtful much will be open...perhaps a few restaurants.
  18. We've done the RCI Canada/New England in early October out/in of Cape Liberty and will be doing the same 9 night itinerary in early Oct of 2023. The fall colors and this particular itinerary was just amazing.
  19. As far as #8729 on Harmony...We've had the four cabins above this one on deck #9. The kids Luckey Climber is right under your balcony !! Personally I wouldn't book these cabins again..(noise, lack of privacy and the cabin just felt very small) but hope you have a different experience than we did.
  20. Thank you...But it is ridiculous...especially as we put our phones on airplane mode before we leave LAX and don't turn them on until we get back...not sure how we'll manage this ???? We've arranged private transportation for our extended family of six to get us from YVR to Canada Place upon arrival. So will I be able to submit another ArrivCan (considering I can figure out how to manage this now) from the Canada Place terminal before we board ??? This is getting so stressful and this info on a 2nd submission is new info for us !!! I had NO idea ! What happens if we can't/don't meet this 2nd submission requirement ???? Will we have to do a 3rd submission when we arrive back into Canada from our Alaska cruise before we can fly home (USA) day that cruise ends ?? I'm almost sorry now we even booked this cruise to leave out of Vancouver !!!
  21. Thanks for that info. We'll be needing transportation after our Panama Canal cruise in October. I have a 1:45pm (TPA-LAX) flight booked and pretty sure this will give us more than enough time.
  22. We have the Panama Canal booked for Oct 2nd San Pedro to Tampa RCI on Serenade...Really looking forward to this one...and so glad I booked when the schedule first opened.
  23. Hmmm So are you saying I have to fill out two ArriveCan submission's even though I'm flying in day of cruise...Sorry that just sounds crazy and it's the first I've heard of this. So fill out one before my flight and another one when I land ????
