  1. We also tip the waitstaff cash directly to them in the SL.
  2. So I "do" have to go through the whole checkin process? Hoping I wouldn't.
  3. I'm sure our two grandkids won't be coming with us (extended family) for our May 2024 cruise. Booked them under a KSF to share a Surf Side Suite on Icon with us. Will I need to fill out their boarding info when we fill out ours? We certainly don't want to loose this cabin as we're next door to family. We've done no-shows before and can't remember (darn those senior moments) how I handled it. I know about getting their port fee and tax's returned to us.
  4. So sorry this has happened to you but I completely agree with the above posts and with 25 years of cruise experience this is something you should have known. It not only was your responsibility but your TA should have also sent you a reminder. I don't use a TA but it's my understanding that a TA usually collects payment about 2 weeks prior to it being due to the cruiseline. A TA owns the booking and thus why it wasn't the cruiseline's responsibility to contact you about it. The marketing emails you received have nothing to do with making payment to your TA. I truly hope that putting this aside you do enjoy your anniversary.
  5. Some of ours have been great a few not so much. Our gratuity is based on what our needs have been. On some cruises we have not used or needed their services...so tip accordingly.
  6. Recent reviews of Embassy haven't been very good...it's still old and tired looking.
  7. No, he knows this has and will continue to be a long term situation. Said it's DEA policy. Several years ago the prescription could be refilled for a year...now it's every 3 months with a new prescription number. I've been at that stage of life a long time but with the "extended release" I can get a good 8 hours not so with the other version.
  8. You can get the loyalty numbers from the concierge, loyalty ambassador or ask at guest services.
  9. This is all very interesting. We've sailed out of Singapore on RCI and the ship automatically got the Vietnam visa's for everyone onboard so I guess that has changed. Sorry you didn't know about the night time best satay at Lau Pa Sat (google) they open at 4:00pm when they close down the street. Best satay ever !!! Next time.
  10. Interesting...my Dr. said it can only be 30 days prescription. Costco pharmacy said the same.
  11. Yes...of course it was USD $. I know the difference as we go to these ports often. Another customer in front of me was pricing out something very similar and he was surprised also at the price quoted.
  12. No, not for this particular medication. My insurance only gives 12 tabs per month so I opt to not use my ins. for this and pay out of pocket for 30 tabs per month.
  13. Don't always assume Mexico is cheaper. I priced out my sleep aid early this year just for the heck of it. Costco pharmacy $16.00 for a 30 day supply and at a pharmacy in Cabo they wanted $130.00. When I travel my Dr. asks Costco to fill it sooner than 30 days...this has always worked easily for me.
  14. We've had that experience too. How can they not know how to make a grilled cheese 😲
  15. On that same street is also the Hampton Inn & Suites and Embassy Suites.
  16. Look back through this post. Some good recommendations including Hyatt Place. Pricing for next year not available yet using ValueTrips but keep checking towards the end of this year.
  17. Go to the WJ put the sandwich together (bread/cheese etc) on a plate take it over to one of the cooks they'll grill it for him...No problem !!! I always bring my burger (I like them well done) over to them and they put it on the grill and toast the bun (as their otherwise cold). I do this on every ship and it's not a problem and their so nice about it.
  18. We have Banks Mansion booked again for July 2024 (their schedule just came out) and yes a bit pricey but considering the all inclusive and great location we have found it well worth it. We've taken a taxi from AMS to hotel and hotel to port (not Rotterdam) but with the recent conversation about a possible change (hoping not) to embark from Rotterdam I did get a suggestion from a poster...WelcomePickups that they have used, Best of luck and enjoy Amsterdam.
  19. Have you also considered renting a car for the day? Lot's of things to do in Fort Lauderdale rather than sitting at a hotel...just something to consider.
  20. Next time try South Florida Shuttles. We had amazing service from them and they provided the car seat we needed. Even made a couple of different terminal stops at FLL for us as we (extended family of 6) were using different airlines.
  21. You'll need to book their stay/park/cruise option. I wouldn't leave my car there without them knowing you will.
  22. If she gets that ill she needs to consult her primary care physician. Only they can offer her what would work best knowing her medical history.
  23. Agree...That's the first thing I say when calling.
  24. Agree...the excursion may not be out yet. Also you can check Gold Rush Dog Tours if you'll be in Juneau. Consider Bering Sea Crab Fisherman Tour if in Ketchikan. Price out booking with cruiseline vs directly on their website.
