  1. are you sure key west was the one and only stop stop? from what i see, it was 2 port stop itinerary: key west and great stirrup cay. now it is only just 1 port being great stirrup cay
  2. that is mostly because of NCL own port area in wards cove, that is like miles away from main Ketchikan area
  3. That is common. I also noticed i see a pending charge on my credit card for the bid amount. Then hours later or a day later i get the emails that say you won the upgrade here is your new room number
  4. it was very limited duty, only like 2-4 sailings at most. Vista only did 2 sailings out of NYC (a Caribbean sailing and a reposition sailing). Mardi Gras was scheduled to do a few sailings like a short cruise to Canada, those never happened
  5. i am one of the those breakaway Canada new England cruisers. I noticed back in March/April when the ports came out with their official ship schedule that it did not align with Norwegian itinerary. Final payment due for that cruise was due by June 15. On September 12, about a month before sail date is when Norwegian finally publicly announce the itinerary changes that aligned with the port schedules They was no shore excursions for Bar Harbor and the port times for Saint John and Halifax were incorrect on Norwegian itinerary. Bar Harbor port was dropped and is being replaced with Boston. Saint John and Halifax port times now match the official port ship schedule
  6. saint john ship schedule https://www.sjport.com/cruise-schedule shows the breakaway as 3:20 am to 3pm. ship ais tracker seems to match that 3am time. i wonder how many people get off that early if its possible. most likely the ship wont get clearance until like 6/7
  7. another thing to consider is fuel consumption. a big overpower engine requires more fuel and a more lean sized appropriate smaller engine uses less fuel. less fuel that needs to be pumped into a ship, is money a cruise line is saving its like having a car burning 20 miles per gallon and then switching to a hybrid car that gets like 50 miles per gallon
  8. For my 2 existing cruises coming up that have the old free at sea, they are a 7 day cruise they both show this:
  9. you keep FAS until you make a change to your booking like repricing
  10. when cruise line do work on their private islands like what carnival is doing at half moon cay and what royal did years ago. the construction is always done on the part of the island is undeveloped. the construction has no impact and the island is very much useable
  11. how does the reservations for the latitudes specially dining work if you dont have the more at sea/free at sea dinning package? with each restaurant now having a cover charge of 40-60 dollars, it is going to ask you to pay when you create the reservation before the cruise. It was much easier when the restaurant was al la carte as that did not require any payment when making reservations
  12. i am wondering the same thing. its going to cause headachs if i have to prepaid the cover charge and then request a refund on the ship
  13. how much "MORE" is this going to cost? I think this means another increase in the drink/dinning gratuities. Hopefully these packages is optional and can be declined if you dont want them
  14. I found the port ship schedule that has the pier numbers. It was not easy to find because port of Seattle website is still having issues saying that page is currently down It does show the Bliss at 66 and the Jewel at 91 2024 Prelim Sailing Schedule 2.20.24.pdf
  15. I think the Jewel will be at 91 and they keep the Bliss at 66 This is the port control it is out of Norwegian hands on where they dock the ships. This is why calling Norwegian was not helpful. It is up to the port officials to figure out which ship goes to which piers
  16. under the old free at sea program i was able to pick and chose of the dinning package/drinks package. i dont drink and always decline the drinks package It appears that the new more at sea is basically all or nothing. there is no way to remove things that i dont need like the drink package
  17. those cruises to Port Canaveral and to the Bahamas islands is not gone yet. they still those do those itinerary every now and then. Breakaway is doing that itinerary when she arrives back in NYC again in November 22 2025. Escape is also doing that itinerary a few times in February and March 2025 and again in August 2025 they have one that goes to Bermuda in additional to Port Canaveral stops I too am disappointed they are no NCL cruises during the first week of November 2025
  18. i use for them to keep clothes organized, one for shirts, one for pants, etc, etc
  19. electric toothbrush, electric shaver all need to be charged. it would nice if they replace that strange layout in the bathroom with a standard AC plug so you can plug in these devices
  20. i dont see it on the delta amex card
  21. I am able to access the benefits pdf page: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/crown-and-anchor-society-benefit-grid.pdf
  22. Usually around December 2024-Febuary 2025 is when they will release the 2026 sailings. it is always about a year and half in advance i too hope they send a different ship, having sailed the venezia many times i am tired of that ship. i really miss when carnival used to rotate the ships every year or so
