I would still caution to approach this not as an entitlement, because it really isn't, but as a request and give them a chance to delight you with their response...

I believe you mentioned in another post that you did not have insurance, so regrettably it looks like you are not going to get your cruise. Anything MSC offer at this point would be purely a goodwill gesture, but based on what you've posted so far I would not assume that they will offer anything at all. I do understand how disappointing this will be but as you have already stated the fall was not their fault then this is a classic example of why you should have insurance...

Perhaps the main take-away from your experience is that there is a lot of variability across the fleet and perhaps from cruise to cruise... Our experience on Divina earlier this year was that the YC dining was above Luminae and the steak served there exceeded that served in Butcher's Cut. No issues with speed of service or temperature of food either. I guess we will have a 2nd data point when we return to Divina in February. Thanks for your observations though.

Just be aware that on Divina the YC restaurant is at the stern, opposite end from the YC pool deck...

There will be MSC staff near the elevators, just approach them and explain the problem and you will be accommodated.

Just be aware that even on a 'table for 2' you will typically be mere inches away from the next 'table for 2'.

They were spared that background because the deck had been cleared and pool pretty much closed due to high winds... ... so that left them with everything possible being tied down to prevent all the props from blowing away. That was what we had been talking to the Maître d' about, as he had dashed out there with a roll of heavy duty tape, to help keep some semblance of 'romance' alive 🙂

Our regular table in Le Muse on Divina was within earshot and sight-line of the entrance and we witnessed several occasions where attempts to bring in guests were politely but firmly repulsed at the door, regardless of the occupancy level. In fact the only exception we saw was a couple who had paid for a 'proposal' package which included dinner in Le Muse as well as the photos and decorations just outside the window of the restaurant on deck. The Maître 'd was talking to us at the time and explained about the 'package' and that they would shortly be coming in to dine.

Fair point, I had assumed they were planning to meet for lunch onshore but you could still be right of course.

It was a sea day so it was open, they dropped Ocean Cay due to weather.

My understanding from a recent Divina cruise is that there are no longer any 'day pass' options and officially no way to invite a guest.

They probably expressed themselves poorly, but it you book through a TA then you must direct your questions to that TA, this is why MSC pay them.

Even in suites over the years, there have been very few we'd be willing to share with a 4' Christmas tree... especially when the ships tend to be littered with tress over the Christmas period..

I assume that this trip does not present any similar risk to her green card situation?
