Thanks for your review. We are on ship at end of the month. We have only ever eaten in the buffet (or in our room, ordering from MDR menu...which I am hearing is no longer offered), so this will be our first cruise (we are "budget" elite plus...so have sailed many times) to actually eat in the MDR. I am not really looking forward to it, but will make the best of it! I don't like to take 1 1/2 or 2 hours to eat, but have been told thru these message boards that we can get that time down by talking to servers? (we flew overseas recently and had to option to get whole meal served at once vs course by course...assume something similar ish is option on X?)

Well I am not going to complain about the program. We are Elite Plus, never gambled a single dollar in the casino, and are packing for a free (just pay taxes and gratuities) 10 day cruise! I suppose that says something about the program!

Thanks for the info...I guess my thought was for the two of us, we could just buy ONE internet package and then we could just both use that one (so basically we couldn't be on the internet at the same time).

i just checked my boarding passes for upcoming end of feb cruise...2 passes, each one with correct name...

Just want to make sure of this. If we get the package for "ONE" device...that means we can be online with ALL our devices as long as it is only one of them active at a time? Thanks for the help

Thanks for taking time to do updates. We are on same cruise Feb 23rd (reverse port order), and are staying near where you stayed (based on restaurant locations)...we are using orphan miles to stay for free at Hyatt Place. Looking forward to updates..will be our first time on this class of X ships. If you have time please try to check out the buffet at night and see if recent reports are true. Hope you get your phone back! Let us know how you get to ship. (we are planning on just using uber or lyft thinking cost should be around $25 ish) Have a Great Cruise!

for my upcoming cruise, (first time using the X app), it prompted me to "add to apple wallet" when I viewed the Xpress pass. same thing airlines do.

We had some orphan hotel points and are using them for hyatt place. Will prob Uber/Lyft to ship. I think shuttle rate is 10 or 15 per person. I would think Uber/Lyft would be in that range. And not packed in a van that makes multiple stops.

Don't know how many nights/cruises we have done but we are elite plus...so we have a lot of days.. We have NEVER eaten in the MDR! (we did one night in a pay restaurant when we had a "free" one from our travel agent) It goes to show cruising is conducive to many different traveling patterns.

THANKS for that info...Now I have to rethink my caloric plan for my whole upcoming trip! I can eat a whole pan of brownies if they are the "soft" kind! That would (will) be me!

We are sailing on Edge Feb 24...We are also elite plus, and haven't sailed X for 4 years...We have never eaten in the MDR (always in room with delivered MDR food, or in buffet). Not looking forward to the dinners on the cruise! I would rather just have a hamburger and fries than spend 2 hours in a loud (and very crowded) MDR...I guess we will see what happens! I envision trying the buffet and if that is as sad as it currently sounds, we will just have big lunch!

Pretty sure people on Carnival are saying the same thing about X!

I appreciate your thoughts, but I would say this part of your comment is off! I guess we could debate how to define "VERY FEW", but i would suggest that the number is way higher than that categorization! my 2 cents!

We are elite plus on X and have NEVER eaten in the MDR.. We eat every dinner in our room (or at least we did!) by ordering off the regular MDR menu and having it delivered to our room, or in the OVC. We are cruising on X next month... for the first time in about 4 years...I hope we can continue to do it "our way"!

Might not be for everyone, but in case you or someone else reads this can see as an option. We did a 6 night MSC cruise from Southampton in November 2022 (thanksgiving week). We flew into LHR 2 days early and stayed 3 days after cruise. We rented a car for the whole 10 days and did a "cruise and park" at the Holiday Inn...same one as in post #21. It was cheaper than trying to do two one way rentals. We would do this same trip again...we had a great time wandering around the countryside. Have a great cruise!

When I'm done eating my room service, I take the tray with all the dishes to the elevator, push level 1 and slide the tray in!

Can u confirm if you can or can’t get dinner delivered (from the MDR selections) with that $10 fee.

We bought an Ipad with our obc (that was probably 8 years ago...don't know if they still sell them or not).

Now I have to add "tray" to my packing list!
