  2. I wrote the President for a different refund that I was having trouble getting and got a larger amount as OBC.
  3. I have a hot water bottle I take on cruises. You can always get hot water from room service.
  4. Does Zaandam still offer self serve laundry? If so I will bring a lot less clothes
  5. Had trouble with Customer Service in the past. Was trying to get a refund for charge on on board account. Finally sent an email to president of company and after months all was sorted out Good Luck
  6. We are booked for a HAL cruise in Jan. and have an OBC for the cruise. Should it show on my account on Navigator already?
  7. I would not buy WIFI at all. Have found that a lot of time at sea it is not available or when it is too many people using itand it is slooow. Most ports have free wifi if all you want to do is check emails. You would have to forgo emails on sea days
  8. Cruising on Vaandam in Jan. Question about upgrade for Club Orange. Does it mean an upgrade to Neptune from a Vista cabin or just a better Vista cabin?

  10. Many months later and finally satisfaction I had sent an email to what I had hoped was the President of HAL. Got a reply with an offer. They will send me my $ 30USD or if we cruise by Feb 17 we will receive $50USD each as OBC Also informed us we had CC from days in isolation All told it adds up to almost $1000USD. Never give up if you feel you are in the right
  11. In the past, there has been some talk about Cabin 428 having sewer smells. Has anyone travelled in this cabin lately and has the problem been resolved?
  12. Back in Feb. there was talk about this room having a sewer odor. Has anyone been in this room recently and is it still a problem?
  13. As we get older and are unable physically do what we use to, a drive by is a good way to continue with travelling. Would rather do a drive by than not travel
  14. I sailed on HAL August 2022. Was charged a fee that I was told would be cancelled but it was not. After many phones calls, many different stories of what was going on and being told many times someone would call who did not, I am now being told that it has gone to a refund company but they would not give me a number or name so I could get in touch with them. Never will sail with HAL again!
  15. Problem is it was only one item on a larger bill. Credit card does not have the information of all the items on the bil. I call Media relations yesterday and left a message. Got a call back today so will leave it for a fe.w days and see if that does anything
  16. Why not stay on the boat until the 25 and just leave when it is time to go to airport? You can leave at any time but should book taxi just in case there are none available at dock
  17. First of all, thank you for the information about contacting credit card company. You learn something every day. I just now talked to the card company. No refund has been applied for that amount to either the old card or new catd. Why do these people lie???
  18. I guess I will finally have to give up on the refund from Holland America and let them win and keep my $29.99 I cruised with them in August and my husband got Covid. In order to make arrangements for going home the head of Guest Relations on the boat said he would give me WIFI for free. All I had to do was pay for it and he would reimburse me. Made 2 calls while on the boat but they never took it off my account. Since coming home have made multiple calls and spent multiple hours on hold. Finally got a case number Sept 21. Then to make matters worse, my crediThis is card was compromised and I had to get a new one. Called to give them n the new number but told no they would send a check. Today found out I needed to fill out a form to get check. They were supposed to send me an email but has not come. Another time was told they only needed last 4 numbers of new credit card to send me credit. Also found out today it was sent to my old credit card. This is my horror story
  19. Thank you for all the pictures. We did this cruise the first year that Scenic cruised the Mekong and the pictures are bringing back very fond memories
  20. On our Ha Long Bay cruise we enjoyed a spectacular Iridescent Bug Show. Maybe you will get to see one also
  21. We did the Scenic Mekong cruise the first year they offered it. Our only complaint was the acoustics in the dining room were horrible. There was a Scenic office staff on board and he was told by almost everyone on board how bad it was. Please let me know if they fixed it. We absolutely loved the Mekong cruise and also did Halong Bay after. You are in for a real treat. .
