Read the numbers of viewers which wasn’t good at 2.4 million in the US. Although that was much better than the Australian version of the show…278,000.

In advance I purchase their 12 pack of half liter bottles of water that's delivered to our cabin...$7.08 includes tip. Currently that's more expensive than a share of CCL stock...yikes!

As I recall the most recent Royal-class ships do not have the tea tower adjacent to the International Café.

Once it is issued it can also be viewed by going to the Cruise Personalizer, select the Payments button and at the bottom under Credits the MOBC is displayed there. When checking cruise prices mine is also automatically shown in the online pricing summary.

I learned something new from the executive producer about the duties of a real captain, CD & bartender. 🙄 “We didn’t want actors, we wanted people that really did this for a living,” Bienstock says. “A real ship’s captain, real bartender, a real cruise director. And just like the original series, these people, besides doing their day jobs, their roles are to find singles and bring them together in the hopes of a match.”

That is likely the free version in the dining room.

Was that after resuming cruising in summer 2021? We sailed three cruises on Royal-class ships (Enchanted & Discovery) since cruising resumed and none of them had the Winemakers Dinner. The reasons given were a lack of sufficient wine inventory and staffing. Prior to the pause we greatly enjoyed it on each of our Royal-class ships cruises.

Princess management is who dreams up such things & in her webinars the Princess VP of Sales is ecstatic about this cheesy program. She believes that it’ll increase cruising as much as the original Love Boat program. She described it as a combination of the Amazing Race, Survivor & Love Island which left CBS for NBC’s Peacock network. In the Love Boat series love was mostly depicted with humor by actors but the new version is people not truly seeking love but their 15 minutes of fame in another scripted reality show. I’ll occasionally watch the original camp version of the Love Boat on the free Pluto TV network and not this trashy Real Love Boat version.

From the Princess Passage Contract & enforcement may vary. Guests are also prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages on board that are packaged in bottles. A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, milk) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought on board on embarkation day, only if carried on in Guests’ hand luggage (not in checked luggage). A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person. Guests will be asked to discard open beverages in plastic containers prior to boarding. All checked and carry-on luggage will be scanned and any prohibited items, including alcoholic/nonalcoholic beverages will be removed, confiscated, and discarded. If Your luggage is locked, the lock may be removed by security or, alternatively, the luggage will be held by security until You can be present for an inspection and any items in question further identified and/or surrendered.

I have not seen any Royal high tea available in several years including on Sky (pre-pause) and Enchanted & Discovery (post-pause).

You’re welcome…glad that you found it informative & interesting like I did. I appreciated her objectivity dealing with this stressful situation.

Sun Princess Mediterranean Inaugural

And the red box states this is their Deal pricing. 🙄 By selecting their “View Applied Promos” get this info…wasn’t this Promo Special Offer previously considered the basic cruise experience. 🥴 I doubt if even first time cruisers, with or without children, would consider these to be any sort of deal. -

While signed in to my Captain’s Circle account went through the booking process for the cheapest interior cabin which required a $400/pp deposit. On Discovery’s first 2 cruises the per day rate for an obstructed balcony was about half the price of Sun’s cheapest interior cabin at $200/day. We’re not interested in flying to Europe for a winter cruise paying that much. We have a 20 day Oceania cruise (includes wi-fi, non-alcohol drinks, 4 specialty dinners and taxes/fees) next year in an oceanview cabin for less per day than an interior on Sun Princess…we’ll enjoy the O-Life on a smaller R-Class Oceania ship. 😊 -

The $1 deposit promotion’s T&C states…maybe another pricing glitch showing it. $1 Deposit reference promotion code: MRI. Offer is available on select cruises and cruisetours sailing January 4, 2023 and beyond and must be booked by October 5, 2022. Offers only available for new bookings, on select cruises, on a limited availability, are capacity controlled (regardless of stateroom availability) -
Water Shuttle/Tendering in Lahaina and Kona Hawaii
Astro Flyer replied to abbottfam's topic in Princess Cruises
☺️ My cousin is sailing Sapphire in mid-November and had Lahaina replaced with Kona…no stop in Maui. Cruise sailing from LA on October 4 docks in Kahului so it’s understandable there will be confusion because it can vary with each cruise. -

We bought it the first day onboard (used OBC) and confirmed the procedure with the barista at the International Café before purchasing the coffee program. Although as you can see by this discussion consistency isn’t always followed on Princess. .

Milestone recognition being eliminated
Astro Flyer replied to CruzinNoony's topic in Princess Cruises
Princess attracted me in my mid 30s with their casually elegant cruise experience. And nearly 40 years later they are evolving away from that cruise experience that made them so successful. Obviously they need to attract younger generations for longterm success but what’s unknown is whether they’ll attract more by being cool instead of being casually elegant. -
I had the same experience pre & post pause…remaining specialty coffees and unlimited brewed coffee transferred to my second consecutive cruise having different booking numbers on Discovery in April.
-
As 2 separate 7-day cruises.
-
More inconsistency…I was told when purchasing both carried over & confirmed it at the GSD before the second cruise and both carried over to the next cruise.

My order of preference: Soleil - deck 5 midship Estrella - deck 6 midship Cielo - deck 6 aft Midship locations for more stability for my wife’s motion sickness tendency & last choice is aft which can have more motion with vibrations from bow thrusters when departing ports or from the props at high speeds. Also the lobby area backs up on the stairs to deck 7 when busy.
