  1. In addition to that corded one I’ve also been happy with these TESSAN adapters purchased from Amazon…one, two or three packs. European Travel Plug Adapter, TESSAN International Power Plug with 2 USB, Type C Outlet Adaptor Charger for US to Most of Europe EU Iceland Spain Italy France Germany https://a.co/d/1wEXkgG
  2. The harm for my wife’s motion sickness tendency is being moved from the lowest balcony categories (Emerald deck midship BW/DW) to be upgraded to a balcony on an upper deck forward cabin. That’s why we mark our midship obstructed view balconies as no upgrade & even though that’s just a request we’ve never been moved from those cabins.
  3. These are from a Sky sideways interior cabin (desk & under bed using adapter for European socket) which as I recall were the same as in our Discovery balcony cabins…the nightstand lamps have USB ports. We also bring a non-surge protected corded electrical adapter to provide additional sockets & USB ports.
  4. Effective 9/6/22 free upgrades will become rare, or even nonexistent with their new Bidding for Upgrades program after already becoming less likely with paid upsells.
  5. We were in Discovery’s E409 and this is what the lights shining down from the Skywalk looked for us. In the first photo it’s illuminating to shades over the outdoor dining area of Gigi’s Pizzeria. As visible is the new composite material railing which replaced the previous varnished wooden railing that required regular varnishing.
  6. And there’s another issue…if more than $25 the refund is by check which took 8 weeks in April instead of the previous 3 to 4 weeks. Some have reported that getting refundable OBC is taking even longer to refund…many months.
  7. As I recall the most recent posts were about a month or so ago & hopefully now that you see the UBD being available maybe that’s a good sign. 🤞 On our Spring cruises to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary we tried to get a UBD…nope. 😟 Then tried for a WM Dinner…nope. 😟 We had to settle for the Crown Grill which was tasty. 😋 Good meal but not as specialty as a UBD for our anniversary.
  8. I’ve read posts from passengers who have been able to pre-book the UBD only to learn onboard that it was unavailable. Hopefully that’s not a problem with these future reservations but until staffing returns to normal it’s questionable. Diamond’s cruises were canceled on short notice due to insufficient staffing so they’re still experiencing staffing problems.
  9. Buon Viaggio! 🥳🎉🍾🛳 We sail Solstice for our first Celebrity cruise in December from LA & looking forward to reading about your onboard experiences.
  10. Our refundable OBC check from our cruise ending in early April was received about 8 weeks later. Previous refund checks showed a return address of only Bottomline Technologies but has now added “For Princess Cruise Line Ltd” to know it’s not junk mail.
  11. You get your luggage tags by signing in to your cruise on their Cruise Personalizer webpage. Since implementing MedallionClass there are no boarding passes. Instead they use the Medallion for boarding & you should complete the process on their MedallionClass app or on their webpage. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/ocean-medallion/
  12. You can take food back to your cabin from all food locations except from the main dining room & Alfredo’s Pizzeria. On Discovery I could order an Alfredo’s pizza from the app to be delivered to my cabin for $3 per pizza.
  13. Sadly it’s not only the casino department who neglects to pay on time because there have also been numerous reports of EZair flight cancelations due to that department failing to pay airlines…awful service from both departments & it’s inexcusable.
  14. I can make a specialty dining reservation for an April 2024 cruise.
  15. I could say unbelievable however as both of us knows anything that’s screwed up with the Medallion app is fully believable!!! 🥴 For a variety of reasons we had cancelled all of our future Princess Cruises to try other cruise lines. However we recently booked Discovery’s total eclipse cruise in April 2024 and hopefully within the next 20 months the app will be fully functional but wouldn’t bet on it after nearly 5 years of a lack of reliability. Like others our app’s previous 50% discounted internet package has disappeared so it appears to be a system wide failure. Good luck to everyone who are affected & are sailing soon. 🤞
  16. The contradictions are very frustrating & someone at Celebrity needs to look at their website to eliminate conflicting info. 🥴
  17. For Royal-class multi course meal (drink prices are likely outdated) rp-alfredos_pizzeria-23-may-13(2).pdf
  18. On the USA site for all LA departures beginning on 9/5/22: https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea/los-angeles-travel-requirements Testing Requirements Vaccinated Guests For all sailings 5 nights or less, no testing is required. For all sailings 6 nights or longer, vaccinated guests must present a digital or physical copy of a supervised and negative COVID-19 test result from a test taken within 3 days prior to sailing. Antibody tests are not accepted. Unvaccinated Guests For all sailings, unvaccinated guests must present a digital or physical copy of a supervised and negative COVID-19 test result from a test taken within 3 days prior to sailing. Antibody tests are not accepted.
  19. Thanks for the app info. We have booked the first night at the Tuscan Grille with a 33% discount plus purchased a 3 bottle classic wine package (5% discount). I’ve read that we’re allowed 2) 750ml bottles of wine per cabin but on this board it was posted that is now 2 per person. Can anyone confirm that’s changed or is it like Princess who allows 2 fee free bottles (in cabin) & others with a $20 corkage fee for more wine. If we can bring 4 to drink in cabin without any fee or pay a $25 corkage in a dining room we might go that route instead of the slightly discounted wine package with a tip added. Hopefully I correctly understand the process. 🤞
  20. Thanks for sharing your experiences…based on what I’ve read the specialty restaurants also add an automatic 18% tip whereas on Princess it’s included but sometimes we’ll provide a cash tip for exceptional service.
  21. I can see our early December reservation (booked 8 days ago) on the app however when I click on it I only received this notification…do we have to be closer to sailing to access it? I can access more options on their website.
  22. In your opinion how would you compare Celebrity to Princess? I’ve read some opinions that their food was a notch above Princess however taste is a very subjective opinion. Specialty dinners are about twice as expensive as Princess & internet is much more expensive than my PCL elite perk at $5/day.
  23. If I am reading it correctly we can use OBC to pre-purchase the first night dinner at Tuscan Grill with a 33% discount. Just over half of our OBC covers tips so considering that first night discounted dinner. I’m guessing that offer might sell out before boarding the ship and that it would be best to pre-purchase it?
  24. Thanks…then just like Princess. Appreciate the quick replies so we can begin to plan how we’ll spend our OBC. My TA is sailing the same ship in a couple of weeks on a fam cruise & will share her experiences with us. 😊
