  1. Darnit, I wish I had it on mine now. Nothing for NCL at this time. 😞
  2. We have done this tour twice now and on our own. Easy to book with a local vendor (online prior to going) and you will get a more personal tour and it will be cheaper.
  3. We've done the longer tour twice now but they've never let us out of the tubes to climb the rocks or jump and especially in the dark caves. I wonder when they started doing? It says they booked with Belize Family Adventures. OP, there are plenty of cave tubing vendors that offer the floating down the water into the caves that don't require you to get out or climb like in that video. Check out cavetubing . bz We've went with them twice now. Here and here are my reviews.
  4. But right above that verbiage of it being included with your "individual guest fee" it says you have to pay $13 for that individual guest fee, which to me, means you still have to pay extra to go over to Chank?
  5. I hate to hear you had a bad experience at Playa Uvas. We went here on our land vacation and had issues with the snorkeling area. It was roped off but yet boats were coming in and out non-stop, which made it very hard to snorkel around. We kept being motioned to "move" because of them and we were always on the look out for boats. It just wasn't a very pleasant experience for us. OUR DAY THERE
  6. I think Sky Reef is pretty cool. Had decent snorkeling and not in deep water. I snorkel A LOT and everywhere we go and this place was the most unique place we've ever snorkeled. It is LOADED with the prettiest sea fans in so many different colors. I walked away from there saying JUST WOW! I've never seen anything like it before. There were just so many and so beautiful. Of course there was coral and fish as well but I was just amazed at the sea fans. LOL 🙂 You can check out my website/blog HERE and see pictures of our day there to get an idea of what it's like.
  7. I looked at their website and the place looks amazing. After reading it, I'm in agreeance with those that say it's not part of Chankanaab since you do have to pay more just to get into Chankanaab (or cross the line/ropes). We are planning on the snuba and/or SeaTrek, which is part of Chankanaab, so it really wouldn't make sense for us to book the cabana. I'm just trying to figure out if you book those activities, does it include the admission to Chank. I remember when we went in the past, we booked a dolphin swim and the admission to the park was included. Wait...you had to pay to walk around the area they have there for the replica ruins? Say what? You used to be able to just walk around there. I can't believe they charge now if so. Eekkk Also, we have our own snorkeling equipment, so renting theirs is of no use to us.
  8. I only know its Sunset because the description said "bronze sculpture of Jacques Cousteau " and that's where his head sculpture is located.
  9. You are welcome. Just want to make sure you are booking with the right place because there has been a lot of talk about the previous owner taking deposits and not returning it now that there is new ownership. I agree with nydney1 Things have really changed over the years. When they put Big French Key in across the water, it not only changed the look but peacefulness as well. Just be aware if you see French Key offered by the cruise ships, they are referring to Big French Key and that's where you will be taken. Last time I was there, they did have a rope in the water between the two places to keep people from "crossing over".
  10. @jbrinkm on your other post in Cozumel...just wanted to let you know the place you described is definitely scuba diving at Sunet. 🙂
  11. OK, your description of where they dive tells me exactly where it's at and it's at Sunset where we dove with Sandollar (we booked directly with Sandollar). Check out THIS for pictures of our dive
  12. Is this a part of Chankanaab? Where are you seeing that it is $95 now? The link you provided says $80 still however, it won't let me book anything for next year so not sure if there's a price increase. We have 3 people so if it's $80 for cabana and $30 to get in, that would be $110 VS $78 for us plus it sounds like it might be far away from the snorkeling area?
  13. Correct, they pull up pretty close to the shore. Check out the pictures I have on my travel blog website and you'll be able to see the distance. HERE
  14. Yes they hold 4 people 👍🏼
  15. Since omeinv has gave you suggestions on diving, I'll chime in on the snorkeling. I would say in St Lucia, snorkeling between the pitons at Jalousie Beach was amazing (we've been twice) and the amount of fish, sea life and coral has been amazing each time. You can check out both of my reviews on my travel web page/blog HERE and HERE. There's tons of pictures to show you. Snorkeling in St Thomas, I would highly recommend Coki Beach. They have some amazing coral and fish there. We've done snorkeling and discover scuba there. Reviews are HERE and HERE
  16. We do discover scuba on every vacation and vacation 4x yearly. You CAN scuba out in the ocean (deeper at the reefs and reachable by boat) but IMO and other divers have told me many times, Cozumel is a place that is usually a drift dive, which makes it very hard for beginners because the water can be pushing you sideways. I'm by far not a beginner (but with an injury to my foot which sometimes makes it hard in wavy water) and only did 1 of our 2 dives out far in the water. My husband and 13 year old daughter managed well...I did not. (Some due to the instructor who decided to pull me down when I wasn't ready...several times, which instantly upset me). However, you can always do a shore dive and they are a little better for a beginner that hasn't done it before and less "wavy". For our shore dive, we did a spur of the moment (after the deeper ocean dive) with Sand Dollar at Sunset. Our instructor was great and plenty to see...along with the underwater web cam. 🙂 If you're interested in seeing pictures and our experience of both dives...you can find the shore dive HERE and our open water dive HERE
  17. Just my thoughts... When you have your own equipment you get a better fit and you don't have to worry how a vendors equipment will fit once you get there. The number one reason I can think of is that the snorkel that vendors use are just the "tube" and it allows water to come in easily. Nothing like a mouth of saltwater. When you buy your own make sure to get the dry snorkel. It has a piece on the top that will keep the water out while you snorkel. It can make or break an experience. Yes, you will take up extra room in the luggage, but IMO so worth it. I bought the smaller fins, which take up less room, back in 2010 and they have been working great ever since and we vacation 4x a year. The ONLY reason I can think of to not buy your own is you never plan on doing this activity again...like ever. 😉
  18. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
  19. It's in April so not quite 6 months. If it has to be 6 months before in order to use 2 certificates, why did it give me the option to click 2 of them that I had? It grayed out the other 6 on the list. Then gave me a price with using both certificates. 🤔
  20. Check out Javin Tours. He took us to an old cotton building and told us history and about his life there and what they used to do. Then we went to a rain forest and we did a hike while he told us neat things about the jungle. He also has a pet monkey that came along with us and it would go to people to hitch a ride along the way. We stopped for snacks and drinks and then down to the lava rocks to explore. Then they provided lunch. We ended the day with some going to the beach and others going to a snorkeling area (and the monkey swam with us) 🙂
  21. We've been there twice (not sure if you have already left since it's November already...but for others), I did a complete review of this place with pictures if you are interested on my travel blog/website...located HERE and also HERE There's plenty of shopping, food and drinks, the very large pool, zip lining, beach and also an animal place. There's plenty to see and do and places to hang out at. It's a very large place.
  22. I booked a cruise yesterday and it gave me the option to use 2 CruiseNext certificates. It brought my total owed price down by the $500. It ask if I wanted to pay in full (the reduced price after 2 certs used) or if I wanted to defer it and pay $0. I deferred it (so that I could transfer my booking to my TA) and then at the end and when I received confirmation it stated that one of the certs had trouble applying and the price went back up by $250. Anyone know why or what's going on and why it didn't apply?
  23. Thank you for the info. Can you tell me about how deep it was in that snorkeling area?
  24. Oh ok, you have to make a reservation to ride? I didn't realize that. So that's good because you won't have to stand in long lines for a long time then I hope.
