I just boarded the Edge yesterday for my first Celebrity cruise. The Ovation is special to me, since she is the one I have been on for the most legs (8). Have a great time, and hopefully your experience will me a positive.

I had an 11-1130 check in and it was quite the cluster. 3 ships in port and it looked like people were still disembarking (maybe Sapphire Princess). Where we were dropped off was on the other side of where we checked in, so had to backtrack, and then 3 ships going through same security line. I have experienced Vancouver before, and it never is the smoothest, but I was in no hurry. Got on ship at noon and dropped off carryon’s. My card was there.

I’m also on the cruise with you. It’s my first Celebrity cruise, so I’m sure I will wondering around for a few days, getting my bearings. I’m a solo traveler, and I look like my pic, so say Hi if you see me looking lost. LOL Debbie

@Ferry_Watcher I looked on the app at the MDR times, and it does look like it is the Cosmopolitan that serves breakfast. It was the only one listed with breakfast hours. See you in the morning! 🚆

I’m going on my first Celebrity cruise (Edge) on Sat., and I pre purchased the Martini flight. Can I do this at any time during the cruise, and will they know I pre purchased it. I will have Elite status from Royal, and I understand they don’t have the Happy Hours the first evening. I’m very excited for my first X cruise and will probably be wondering around like a kid in a candy store. Thanks!

My daughter just purchased something on app, but she didn’t want to use OBC, and told it so, but it still did.

Both my daughter and friends had no reservations and went to MDR about 6, and were seated within 10 mins. There were only 2 in each of their parties. As mentioned, they start backfilling open tables with no shows, and this has happened before they say MTD actually starts.

1 person, 2 devices= cheaper, share login, both devices can be used at same time 2 person, 1 device each= more expensive, 2 separate logins, both devices can be used at same time. Your call, cheaper or don’t want to share login?

I survived 54 nights last year and I don’t use laundry service. It can be done, if you don’t mind creative handwashing. I pack magnetic hooks and also have a clothesline with clips attached. When I would wash things in the evening, they would be dry the next day. And as mentioned, rolling in towels and walking on them to get as much water as you can, before hanging to dry.

Normally it is around the beginning of the month prior to your cruise, but start checking a little earlier. My daughter is sailing Oasis in June, so I will come back and let you know when hers opens up. It hasn’t yet.

It’s been down for a while. Have read it won’t be fixed until drydock. It’s free in port and charge on sea days. The free goes up and down and the charge also goes on the side.

Alaska is 1 hr behind Pacific time. You will only have 1 time change going north. On my numerous cruises to Alaska, they have always done the time change.

Unless you want double points. You don’t get them in solo cabins.

I have been on the Ovation many times, and they have never had Ramen the several years I have sailed. It’s one thing I miss also, since I don’t eat sushi.

Wrong. You are confusing the OP. I am going on my FIRST Celebrity cruise next month and I’m listed as Elite since I’m D+ on Royal. Just like Celebrity Elite get Diamond status on Royal. @driverandrewsDid you happen to get your Captains number on Celebrity before you got to Diamond? That may be why it showed Select. Just give them a call, or it may automatically update now that your Diamond.

You can also try the app, but just in case, try both. 😉

Usually opens the beginning of the month, prior to your sailing month. For instance, if your sailing is in June, start checking around May 1 Check at that time on the Website Daily Planner, not app

I’m trying to remember if a Carnival ship has ever departed from Singapore. If it has, then it’s rare, so not sure you would get accurate info. I sailed the Splendor over there in 2019, so you would have to find someone that then sailed it to Sydney.
