  1. Yes, it seems that on the consumer website, they never calculate the repeat day for coming back over International Dateline. On this TP, we repeat May 5 2025.
  2. I started the Roll Call already. Super excited it ends in Seattle, and at least it’s close for you. I have only been to a couple of the ports, and this has really nice port stops. I’m doing another cruise line TP in Oct/2024, Singapore- Long Beach. Good thing I love Singapore. 😉
  3. I saw him on the Ovation, and he is excellent. If he gives his talk on Cracking the Da Vinci Code, go see it. He is just an amazing individual.
  4. Firefly is correct. It’s the DP340 code. The Anthem Apr/2025 sailings are on the website now, and the DP340 still not valid. I think the prices are still great. The flyer said the TP was 15 nights, website 14. I don’t know if they added the day we repeat, crossing the International Dateline. I just know there are a lot of sea days ( I love) from last stop in Japan to Seattle on TP.
  5. Still haven’t gotten Wonder block from Oct/2022 cruise, but received my Jewel block from Sept/2023 cruise.
  6. Years ago? If you didn’t exchange information when you met, you won’t find them. It’s a privacy matter. You could try and google their name and see if anything looks familiar, or try putting their names in other social media sites.
  7. Thanks Ken. She said she called the Loyalty desk. I have a 7 day courtesy hold on both legs. I will have her check back in a couple days. But, as you know, call 5 people, get 5 different answers. 😉
  8. Although not available to book on the website, my TA was able to book the Anthem B2B. Unfortunately, Royal told her these were blackout dates, so couldn’t use my solo discount. I thought the prices were good on both legs (I book virtual balconies). I may never get to use my solo discount, now that I have it.
  9. I’ve been waiting to see that Anthem itinerary…B2B is calling my name and gets me all the way home. One flight only.
  10. I sail solo and I don’t look at it as a penalty. Rather than seeing it as a negative, look at a daily cost. What would you spend per night on a land vaca? Including hotel, food and entertainment? I set a rate per night I’m willing to pay, and stick to it.
  11. Well, as someone who sails in interiors, I hope those in steerage come on and report about activities and other happenings besides “suites”
  12. I started cruising in 1980, so I’ve definitely been through the eras…LOL For me as a solo cruiser, I set what my price per day is, and pretty much stick with that. I have reached the solo discount point on Royal now, so that helps, but still haven’t booked anything since I reached it. I’m on the Panorama TP in Oct. and my price per day is $132. I can’t even book a decent hotel for that price anymore. There are those that will spend the money on brand new cruise ships, at a premium price, but many won’t. Lots of good deals still out there if you look. I think vacation travel is up for everything. As mentioned, airfare is crazy to even get anywhere, and look at theme parks. I don’t do All Inclusive resorts, but I’m sure they’re up also, and then you still have to fly there.
  13. It’s on the website for prohibited items. Everybody will be in the same situation. Many bring Downy Wrinkle Release, spray, and then hang in bathroom and run hot shower. The steam will take out a lot of wrinkles.
  14. As a solo traveler, I never eat in the MDR for my own personal reasons. So I always eat in the MDR, or other free areas. Although I eat at WJ on all ships I sail, I do think Quantum class is the best. I thought Wonder was also good. I like being able to control my portions, and always find something I like. I am not a foodie, so I am perfectly happy with the simple things. Love that there is always Indian food.
  15. Sold out can also mean they have reached life boat capacity.
  16. I already have 3 points, and my first Celebrity cruise isn’t until May. I think I remember some random things you can do for points.
  17. Just be aware that Starlink isn’t the do all, be all on some ships. On the Jewel to Greenland, the internet was horrible. Rarely worked in the cabin. In Two70 on Ovation, no internet. In Alaska, it can still be patchy with mountain ranges and cloud cover. So it can be great on some ships and areas, other’s not so much. I never had any luck streaming YoutubeTv before I got rid of it, even with a VPN. They wised up and started blocking VPN’s. I have had luck with other streaming services.
  18. Maybe it’s the pre planner syndrome or mini ocd in me, that I always pull out clothes the night before, and lay on couch or chair, and I cruise solo…😬
  19. I am waiting for Anthem. The sad thing is I reached the magic 340 as a solo cruiser in the Spring, and have yet to book a Royal cruise. I only have 2 next year on different cruise lines.
  20. I also like their BOGO sales. Nice way to get some extra miles.
  21. Since I live in the Seattle area, my airline of choice is usually Alaska Air. I don’t normally book airfares until about 2 months out. Having that free bag with the Alaska card really is nice. I also like they have several non stops, which I prefer.
  22. They may have a time to pick up tender tickets or they may not. I can’t speak specifically for Belize, but on my recent Greenland cruise, it was open tender boarding for all 3 tender ports. And recently on my daughter’s Navigator cruise, they had a time to pick up tickets for Cabo, but started passing them out early, which wasn’t announced. If they do pass out tickets, pay attention to time, and maybe check an hour before. Only one person needs to be there to pick up their parties tickets.
  23. Along with what was posted, since you are past final payment, you do not get price drops. Nobody does, regardless of how they booked. However, you could look at a cabin upgrade.
  24. I don’t understand for those that absolutely can’t do without, and are willing to get caught, just take edibles. Also less harmful on the lungs.😉
  25. I cruise solo and never eat in the MDR, but I leave tips on, because I still eat in other places. I would suggest maybe putting some cruise cash on your account periodically before your cruise, and that can help lower your final bill. That’s what I plan on doing for my 25 night TP in Oct.
