Came here to say this. Upgrades via phone can sometimes be had for a reasonable sum and include OBC, premium beverages, internet and gratuities. You will also get the additional Captain Club points that aren't awarded with a MoveUp. With that said, I personally wouldn't upgrade to Retreat if the itinerary was port-intensive. IMO, a good number of (warm) sea days are needed to fully enjoy Retreat amenities and justify any paid upgrade especially if costly.

As much as I love the Edge class of ships, I'd choose the Constellation. Save the Ascent for a future itinerary that isn't port intensive. You'll have more opportunities to enjoy the ship.

FYI, the two Peloton bikes in the studio are usually reserved for those in Star Class. Your Royal Genie can make arrangements to have a bike brought to your suite.

Kwokpot is correct. Accrued casino comps is a thing and is not to be confused with onboard credit or freeplay. It exists on both RCL and X and is based on play. At the end of sailings, the casino host, upon request, will evaluate your play and remove certain charges, i.e. drinks, meals and spa. However, Kwotpot is incorrect too. X and RCL casino hosts do issue free cruise certificates and comped specialty restaurant meals.

M and S class ships have only sauna in their changing rooms. Steam is in Persian Gardens which requires access.

I did a lot of remote work via premium internet while on the Apex westbound TA this past April. There were almost no issues the first few days even with video calls. Connectivity then became spotty east of Bermuda and on approach to the European mainland, i.e. outages that would last 1-3 hours at times. Hoping SpaceX's Starlink becomes available fleetwide soon. Currently available on RCL's Freedom.
