I thought I would miss the paper Fun Times, but once I got used to having it on the Hub app, I like it better. It’s so easy to mark the activities you’re interested in for planning purposes, and to look ahead to future days to see what’s planned.

I believe you’re correct. I have never tried to change flights, but my understanding is that there’s a $200 fee to change anything after final payment.

I used Fly2Fun for my return from Barcelona to Seattle in May 2022. From the time I booked it I was able to see the flights, but it wasn’t ticketed until about 3 weeks before the cruise, at which time I could select seats. I was frustrated at having to wait so long for seat selection, but it all turned out OK in the end.

You would probably get a better response if you posted on the roll call for that sailing. -

Had covid beginning of July still test poitive
nwcruiselover replied to Jancruz's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
You can cruise if you have a “document of recovery,” which Carnival defines as a positive test taken 10-90 days before your cruise. It has to be an official lab test or proctored test, not just one of the free at-home tests. -
There is nowhere within walking distance of the Pier 91 cruise terminal in Seattle. It would be several miles to one of the grocery stores in either the Queen Anne or Magnolia neighborhood.

Carnival Has No Customer Service Anymore
nwcruiselover replied to Paul321's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Carnival doesn’t “guarantee” that you will get on your cruise. They work on your behalf to try to get you there but if anything goes wrong with your flights, there there isn’t a guarantee, meaning they won’t hold the ship awaiting your arrival. My understanding is that with covid changes, they can’t fly you to the first port of call to join the cruise. I’m not sure about that, but maybe someone else can clarify. -
Carnival Has No Customer Service Anymore
nwcruiselover replied to Paul321's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I’m sorry for the anguish this is causing you, and I hope there is a solution. However, it appears to me that the your new flight schedule might be better than the original, if you can make it work. Getting to Los Angeles at 9:55 AM the day of the cruise is risky. I know they were booked through Carnival, and Carnival would do everything possible to get you to the port on time. But if there were any flight delays the day of the cruise, you could be in danger of missing the cruise. I truly hope it all works out for you! -

I have also always gotten email notifications. Always approvals because I don’t seem to get casino offers. -
Glad I chose Carnival insurance
nwcruiselover replied to LatinaInTexas's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Carnival insurance is less expensive for seniors than many outside insurance companies, who base their premiums on age. Carnival’s insurance premium is the same for all ages and is based on the cost of the cruise. -
Which is the best Alaskan excursion to see wildlife
nwcruiselover replied to TheSeagoer's topic in Alaska
I also highly recommend the Yukon bus tour with Chilkoot Tours. Well worth the time and money, and it goes much further than the train. Once with another cruise line I was able to do the Yukon tour which dropped passengers at the train station partway back, so we could take the train into Skagway. That was one of my all-time favorite tours. -
Anybody every change your cruise date to an earlier date?
nwcruiselover replied to ABQrobin's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I have moved a cruise to an earlier date, but not 40 days before the cruise. It’s worth exploring other dates and making a call to Carnival. Maybe they’ll surprise you and let you change without penalty, or a low penalty. -
Question about no show vs cancellation
nwcruiselover replied to snowdogsmm's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
That has always been my understanding. I was surprised to see a couple of people posting in the last several months saying they had been charged a no-show fee. Sounds like it’s just a rumor or the people posting that misunderstood. -
Question about no show vs cancellation
nwcruiselover replied to snowdogsmm's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Snowdogsmm, I have done exactly as you are considering. DH decided he really didn’t want to go on the cruise, so I didn’t say anything till they asked at check-in. I said he wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t come. No more questions asked. I sailed solo, and his taxes & port fees were refunded to our credit card. However, a few people have mentioned on these boards in the past several months that they have been charged a no-show fee. $250 was mentioned. I can’t confirm that, but things may have changed. -
Splendor July 5th it was luggage tags.

How bad is the noise on connecting cabins?
nwcruiselover replied to Velvetwater's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I totally agree that I would rather have a room in the far aft of the ship rather than a connecting room. I have had only 2 experiences with connecting rooms, and never again. As mentioned by others, everything being done in the adjoining room can be heard, and I mean everything. -
Yes, you still need to put a CC on your account, and they put a temporary hold on it. I think the only way around that is to put cash on deposit, which would be returned to you if not used.

Bermuda - Travel Authorization - Carnival Guidance
nwcruiselover replied to cellfree's topic in Bermuda
Unfortunately everyone on the ship must have the Bermuda Travel authorization whether they’re getting off the ship in Bermuda. or not. When I went on the Pride TA in April each person needed to show their approval from Bermuda in order to check in at the terminal. -
Bermuda - Travel Authorization - Carnival Guidance
nwcruiselover replied to cellfree's topic in Bermuda
I got the Bermuda Travel Authority for the Pride TA cruise in April. I started the process about a month ahead of time, but I could have waited till a week before the cruise. Fill out the application, pay the $40, and upload proof of vaccination. Then wait till the required testing has been done and upload the proof of negative covid test. Once that was done, the final approval came within 2 days for me. Some people on my cruise were getting down to the last minute and didn’t have approvals, so they called the Bermuda government on a toll-free number from the US and ultimately got approvals. So no, it’s not instant approval. -
I have bought BinaxNow and used them for every cruise since the restart. Most recently, I bought a 2 pack on Saturday morning and they arrived today, so pretty fast shipping.

Milestone perk: OBC redeemable ON milestone cruise?
nwcruiselover replied to iamsteph's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I’m glad to know this. I have already booked my 22nd through 25th cruises, and the 25th is an expensive one. Good to know I can get my 25% OBC ON that cruise! I’ll call ahead of time though. -
I know another test question hopefully different!
nwcruiselover replied to siestakeys04's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Yes, you can test anytime during that day on Wednesday for a Saturday cruise.
