  1. Yes, I did. He is the one that told me everything was going paperless.
  2. Why was the other thread closed? I didn’t get to read all 80+ pages. It’s probably dead and buried by now.
  3. Thank you @Jadn13 for taking up the slack, I will definitely look into this on my October cruise. Should be spectacular with fall leaves. Late this afternoon I ordered a latte to go with the chocolate chip cookies that were sent instead of my peanut butter order. They got it right. Beverage package no charge. It’s amazing how they have me booked in two rooms. Guess that’s a plus for the app. it was Italian night in the MDR. We are doing Sabatini’s tomorrow if I am out of jail/isolation. Italian is not my favorite at either places. Room service forgot to send my tiramisu shot. Oh well.
  4. I was given an itemized statement. There is verbiage I could get copy of Medical Records, I checked the box, but it’s not sent with the other items. Is that what I have to chase after before getting off the ship?
  5. On the Caribbean Princess. No more room service door hangers for breakfast and/or suite/elite canapés.
  6. Say it is not so…or scare all the wanna be’s away. It is a popular voyage.
  7. @Thrak I bet you are grateful that you store copies everywhere. Me too, but only because I can’t remember. Call your insurance company. They may be able to forward you an extra refill for travel. Or have them send it to Longs/aka cvs or Walgreens on the islands. Oahu would be the easiest pick up location. Or Costco Iwelei (96817) or Sam’s Club/Walmart on Keeaumoku Street (96822…I think/Honolulu). Give me a date you will be in Honolulu. Might be able to work something out with you.
  8. Same error I make all the time. Why do they even have that package (for more)? Ridiculous. Thanks for the correction. Regardless. Not putting back the all inclusive plus package I had for $50….I will have it on my Iceland/Greenland, if I go. It’s been cancelled so many times by me.
  9. Just checked next cruise. I will not have a beverage package. It now is showing Plus at $64.99 and Premier at $84.99. After thought. I should have kept it at $50 pp/pd. Oh, well. Saving me a ton of money. I wonder if suites will have complimentary room service since it is/was an option for MDR meals and tea service. If I were at Princess, my mind would be swirling with all these what ifs I have this or that?
  10. You guys are in store for a bunch of non-useful thoughts. With nothing to do, I am thinking of all kinds of great updates. First, if you wanted an upgrade from an interior or ocean view, get Covid and you will be isolated in a balcony cabin, if you are lucky. Second, your cruise might be free. I will get back 100% per day of isolation in FCCs. Always a great to have to apply to my next cruise. Third, room service includes alcoholic beverages. Unfortunately, alcohol and some meds are not friendly. Fourth, all of my up non-refundable OBC was eaten up my my medical center visit and meds. I will, hopefully, get that back by filing to my insurance. You got to have insurance and patience to get this OBC refunded. Too bad I already donated to the casino, but now all I just have to cash out. Score again. My app is set to the new room. Requested towels, delivered in a timely manner. Called room service for lunch (old school). She asked if I was feeling better. I can’t say enough good things about how I am being treated in isolation (their term). Staying an extra night might be worth it!
  11. Brain is a little foggy and disjointed (that’s my norm lol). I’d rather allocate the funds that would be spend on a beverage package to upgrade a cabin category. What a novel idea. I don’t think I’ve ever read that option before.
  12. Made it through the night. Captain/navigator does a really good job of “steering the boat” 😂 There was some noticeable movement from where I am used to. But nothing that required action on my part. I’m on a bunch of meds! Can’t have this, that, or alcohol. Biggest hardship. Did not get up early enough for sea friends. Maybe tonight. Sort of captive for entertainment venues. Glad there is sunshine, cool temps, and a vast ocean once we leave here. On port side. Next stop Sydney. So far, I’ve received calls from: Nicholas, club class manager (gave me contact name for room service supervisor) The medical center last night/this morning Daniel, from customer service. Room service has been good. Bringing me water and huge buckets of ice. Can’t get the refrigerator to work. 222 Cabin mate says they came through cabin and thoroughly cleaned everything, made beds, etc. Thankfully, she has tested negative. I am not a balcony lover, but this is a nice change. Had breakfast while watching industrial traffic.
  13. Got through page one. Sorry Now, if only they brought back the coffee card aka Sheldon Cooper I have the plus. My lattes are included in suite breakfast. I get water in the suite. I “drink” mostly virgin drinks (not counted against Plus) I have an occasional glass of wine with dinner or a nice after dinner drink. Plus worked at $40. A push at $50. A no go at $60. Princess needs to discount the packages for Elites.
  14. Very interesting. Princess is, again, mixing and matching a hodge podge. Window suites on the Caribbean and the Grand were always very different than the Royal Class window Suites and now even more changes for the Sun Class ship. It will be very interesting to see how they will justify one Window Suite from another. Will the Grandfather in bookings? The Grand and the Caribbean have been the best kept secret for so many years. Not so, any more.
  15. I sure hope this is not correct. I have several more voyages booked in a WS. Wouldn’t be surprised if Princess pulls a stunt like this.
  16. Thanks. Did request billing. I had to ask for Covid instructions from the guy who escorted me up here. Will post later. No worse than a bad asthma attack. Will see how I feel after 24 hours of meds. Bring your own Paxlovid, if your doctor will allow you to have it. I did. Nice cabin. I wouldn’t pick it for myself. Too high up. Too forward. Hope to spot whales tomorrow. Can I request more quarantine time?
  17. Well, Covid is still around. I thought I was having an asthma flare up. Several days of coughing and I gave in and went to the medical center. Tested for flu and Covid. Covid won. First experience with the medical center. All were so nice. An hour later, I came back to my room to wait for the doctor to look at the paxlovid I brought from home and to swab cabin mate, I asked to be quarantined. So I am up on Aloha Deck far forward. I’m really not sad at all. Only have to stay for the night since my coughing started days ago. I had tested negative before 7/23 Virginia 4 days ago. They marked my “start” date on 7/26 at 6 pm. So I am cleared to return to my cabin tomorrow evening. CDC guidelines I’d 5 days. There are 4 tabled rooms that I could see. In the meantime, I got a tour of the behind the scenes without paying for it. Attendant 2 followed me and wiped down everything I touched. Assistant Manager for Club Class called me to see if I needed anything. Not quite the same, but had lamb chops for dinner. i was a little more laxed than my normal. I am one of the few that still wore a mask. This time, NOT all the time. Don’t have the answers to what Princess will cover. Not concerned, yet. I don’t feel bad. Just the coughing and shortness of breath.
  18. Quest accomplished. Been on the hunt for a lobster roll. Bar Harbor started at $30. Waited for St John’s stop. Volunteers in the terminal suggested Billy’s. They have a restaurant up the hill, but fortunately, opened an express in the container area. The restaurant was not open on Sunday. The express container restaurant was. Didn’t have to pay for ambiance. Fresh as can be…made on the spot. $25 plus those good old Canadian takes. If you paid with US $, change would be in Canadian. I had Canadian dollars. Scored…...$20 total! Sorry about the half sandwich, I was hungry. Notice ship clock. We advanced an hour, but even the minutes were not close. It really does not take much to entertain me. Sat on the promenade deck and watch the sea birds. They would land on the water and be carried out to sea (25 feet or so) as the tide receded. Up in the air…back to original spot…repeat. Tide was moving quickly.
  19. We were in the Crown Grill an hour before you. They took all that were waiting in the lounge. The tender took a really long time….going so very slowly 20 minutes. I booked independently with Acadia National Park Tour. We had an air conditioned van and a wonderful tour guide/driver. 3.5 hours and 4 stops. Disappointed in no pop over ice cream sundaes at Jordan’s Pond. Machine broke and they could not keep up with the demand for pop overs. 45 minute wait in the restaurant.
  20. Purchasing the beverage package can be done on embarkation day and the day after. It will be charged to your OBC folio. As of today….it is $60 and $80.
  21. Missed ports: Still waiting for port fees to be returned for missing Newport Rhode Island. Captain came on while I was off the ship. Came over the speakers in the room. You know he is going to be serious. They were suspending water shuttles to Bar Harbor around 1:30 due to “technical” difficulties. Sent over empty boats to pick up passengers. All afternoon shore excursions were cancelled. Announcement again in the evening that a letter would be forth coming. This is how tendering happened for Bar Harbor. I chose to walk out of my Window Suite to the Crown Grill (meeting place for Elites) rather than meet at Crooners (for Suites) and have to hoof it down to deck 3. NO tickets. Waited to be called. Small groups were escorted to the tenders first. Then the rest of the passengers were call. Asked a seat mate. She told me that they were given tickets with numbers. She waited in a dining room on deck 5 for about 30 minutes before being called. I was told there were still people waiting to go ashore around noon, before the stoppage. Long lines to return to the ship. Maybe not quite as bad as Lahaina. Some had shade.
  22. Good one!!!!! I had the same thought, but still pretty low on the totem pole. I check each time I’m on board a ship. This cruise….149th and there are less than 400 Elite.
  23. I am checking in daily, but not reading the 5-10pages added each day. Sorry for not “following” every post. If Princess is going to increase revenue, how about charging a fee to smoke in the casino? aka Sheldon Cooper.
  24. You would think the General Hotel Manager would have all the correct information. Not! Our welcome suite letter told us that the Elite/Suite/Platinum lounge would be at Skywalkers. The Patter says Club Fusion. I have verified neither. The letter says tender holding area for suites is Crown Grill. Patter says Crooners with Elite in Crown Grill. Tickets will be issued. Will update tomorrow., Boston had lovely weather. Enjoyed the views of the airport runways from the Lido Deck. Will catch Boston in October. Snow? Rain? Hurricane?
  25. My minibar has always included brandy of some sort. Stopped collecting them. Now I exchange it for beer, water, and or soft drinks that mostly go to the crew. This week’s fiasco was the worst ever. Three calls to room service before it could be delivered. At that point, my steward was volunteering to take on the task. Really didn’t want to add to his turn around duties. One person was willing to trade the liquor out for Michelob. That order got lost. Another was will to do Bud light, but decided to keep it with the original.
