  1. There’s always Downy Wrinkle Release. I have good success with it on women’s clothes. A men’s dress shirt might need a real iron.
  2. On some cruises the early booking bonus lasts longer. For instance I was able to book it six months out, but for a TA which books up slower than other itineraries.
  3. On my last cruise (NCL) the stewards were REQUIRED to unplug anything that was charging.
  4. I’ve never seen crème de menthe on any bar menus or lists. Seems like a common liqueur to carry. (Maybe in old fashioned) Do They usually have it though not listed? It’s great on ice cream or after dinner to settle the stomach. (Hmm Jäegermeister is good for that too)
  5. From what I’ve read you have to upgrade on board BEFORE using your beverage package even once. I think a bartender can do it.
  6. Some things on the website I had to use my laptop as opposed to the app or my tablet browser. Try different devices or browsers. Sometimes Chrome works better than Safari for me. Some have success with incognito mode on their browsers.
  7. I’ll be on Zuiderdam for the spring TA. In the 14 days there is one pop up which is Morimoto. I was really hoping for a Tamarind pop up.
  8. Just watched this. A good part of the vlog is Morimoto. They loved it.
  9. Me too. Sadly my current apartment is shower only. I am super excited to have a tub in my cabin. More hotels are starting to go shower only as well. 😢
  10. There is always the accessible cabin option. Although we don’t need one we have ended up in accessible cabins twice. (We don’t book very far out) We’ve always been satisfied with them but this was on other lines.
  11. I had likes and dislikes on my Meraviglia cruise. When I wrote my review I mentioned it all. I think it’s good to be balanced when writing a review so that others can go into a cruise with the right expectations. I would definitely cruise MSC again, but you know what? I did have problems with the drink service 😉 I also had my favorite cruise entree ever and my favorite cruise dessert ever and my favorite pizza ever. Food trumps drinks for me.
  12. I can get on via safari on my iPhone. I think I got it the other day on Chrome on my iPad. Maybe try a different device or browser. Someone yesterday had a lot of problems. I think the thread had “newbie AARP” in the title. It’s not too far down.
  13. https://www.aarp.org/rewards/redeem/#sort-by=default Put Holland in the search box. You need to be an AARP member btw
  14. @josumello it has taken several hours for my gifts cards to show up the last two times that I bought them. I think it’s a security measure because I bought such a large amount. You may want to consider using a travel agent if you don’t feel like messing with the website. Mine input all of my gift card payments to HAL for me. I still have my first HAL cruise coming up, but lots of people on this board say the website is not indicative of the onboard. experience.
  15. I guess I should have said in my experience most servers I worked with did not claim all of their tips instead of saying most people are not honest. . @Fouremco
  16. I have no idea how the tax structure affects HAL or the employees in their home countries. I do know in the US you are supposed to claim all of your tips and pay taxes on them, cash or credit. I know most people are not honest, but I always did when I was a server and more recently as a housecleaner. So technically cash is not king in the US
  17. If I was in that situation ( and couldn’t wait till the new month ) I would log in to my mother’s AARP and buy them there.
  18. I see them still. Put Holland in the search box when looking at all rewards.
  19. Totally agree. Plus you could us that money now for any purpose you wanted. You’re not tied to a HA cruise
  20. 4 months to the day ahead for my upcoming cruise.
  21. On another thread I heard mention of SF tonic water.
  22. When did it go up to $40. The highest I’ve heard of is $35
  23. I booked one way from Europe to Tampa to get home from a Transatlantic. I have a TA but was able to book the flights myself.
  24. Also if you book HIA ahead you can get better choices on shore excursions with which to use your credit
  25. So sorry this happened to you.
