  1. Looked at the Great Lakes cruise last night. Which one did you do? Love to hear more.
  2. That’s interesting & good to know. I wondered what changes, if any, were happening on E-Class menus on often higher priced cruises with the 4 restaurant rotation, which I actually really liked, on my single cruise on Edge.
  3. Since OP’s question was answered, can someone comment on the cabins which do have an interconnecting door to the adjacent cabin on the shared inside wall. Did you experience any noise or privacy concerns? Ty
  4. I’ve read about the tiny bathrooms. Are they the same in all O ships? Haven’t they improved on them in newer ships? Curious.
  5. Thank you for sharing your experience. I and others do appreciate it in spite of what sounds like pushback from those who weren’t there. I read your description, and then my DH & I checked our upcoming cruise menu. We both see the changes; they’re obvious to experienced Celebrity cruisers. Nothing to be done for what’s already booked & upcoming after Final Payment but helpful to make future decisions if more interesting menus than what can be ordered at a local diner are part of what one most enjoys about cruising.
  6. Just looked at menus on our upcoming Sept cruise and was actually laughing. Not going to be so funny to me when I’m onboard. Meat loaf, grilled chicken, oven roasted Turkey - all served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. I serve more creative dinners at home. And then this, every night.
  7. Wow! Thanks to everyone who has so thoughtfully shared their experiences and advice. Have lots to consider and appreciate reading about other great options. I’m excited to try different lines and experience the variety described. I feel somewhat liberated! 🎉
  8. Omg. Was just thinking to do this. Please share if you haven’t already. Not to end of thread yet so if it’s posted, I’ll find it. Ty
  9. You nailed it. And by the way, they have added a huge number of 4, 5 and 6-night sailings, too. To Bimini, CocoCay & Nassau. It’s even worse than I thought. Oh, and I never got the invite anyway.
  10. I’m so sorry for all of you who have been double & even triple cancelled in a few months. The pattern of business decisions affecting thousands are worse than even I expected. The current regime led by the new CEO is obviously looking only at short term revenue with no care for customers or goodwill. Shame on them.
  11. Not neccesarily. See this from cancelled Apex TA roll call. "On the phone with Celebrity to rebook. I have $425 OBC from a previous cancellation. They are telling me that I will lose that and only get $200 OBC. To replace it. Is that correct?"
  12. The Nov 9th TA on APEX from Lisbon was summarily cancelled. No further info regarding how its going to get from Europe to US yet. Oops. There appears to be some info in prior post but I couldn't confirm it yet. Check back on Thursday.
  13. Hello fellow cruisers, As a loyal and long-term Celebrity cruiser, I am starting to do some due diligence for other cruise lines. Of course, I have a lot of research to do but thought I'd ask you experts who have also been Celebrity cruisers. Some info about us. We are in our 60s/70s, typically travel with friends of similar age, looking for interesting itineraries, excellent meals (we like the size and ambiance of BLU), lounge spaces with live music of various kinds, nice seating spaces to relax, chat, have a cocktail or coffee, somewhat reasonable pricing (whatever that means for you) for balcony cabins (don't need suites.) Would love to hear your thoughts with some details, and thank you in advance. đź’—
  14. Report from a passenger on the Apex TA roll call. So, yeah. The dodo. “On the phone with Celebrity to rebook. I have $425 OBC from a previous cancellation. They are telling me that I will lose that and only get $200 OBC. To replace it. Is that correct?”
  15. Celebrity had already changed this TA which was scheduled to originate in Southhampton a few months ago (in May/June) and many booked passengers had already changed their itinerary to accommodate this ship's new schedule. This is NUTS!
  16. ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING TRAVELS Dear Guest, At Celebrity Cruises, we are passionate about providing award-winning vacation experiences. With this goal in mind, and in accordance with global ship safety guidelines, Celebrity Cruises will be revising Celebrity Apex’s season schedule to include drydock for routine inspection in 2025, instead of 2024 as originally scheduled. As a result of this rescheduling, select Celebrity Apex sailings scheduled to embark November 9 & 21, 2024, and March 8, 2025 through April 26, 2025, will be cancelled. For any payments made toward your sailing, you will automatically receive a 100% refund to your original method of payment. No action is required on your part to receive this refund, which you should see reflected within 30 days after cancellation (cruise taxes and fees will be refunded separately). Please note, any reservation paid with Future Cruise Credit will not be eligible for a cash refund; however, your Future Cruise Credit will be reinstated. If you have pre-booked any shore excursions, beverage, internet, specialty dining, or other onboard packages through Celebrity Cruise Planner, you will be refunded in full to your original method of payment. Guests with hotel reservations booked through Flights by Celebrity will be refunded automatically (you will not need to call in to initiate the process). Guests with independent accommodations or excursions should contact their tour operators directly to make all required modifications. As we never wish to complicate your vacation planning, we sincerely appreciate your understanding. In the hopes that you’ll discover an alternative bucket-list vacation with Celebrity Cruises, we are happy to offer you $200 onboard credit per stateroom, $400 onboard credit for Retreat accommodations, to be redeemed on a future cruise. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Celebrity Cruises at 1-844-418-6824 in North America or (316) 554-5961 worldwide. We look forward to welcoming you aboard soon for an amazing Celebrity Cruises vacation. Sincerely, Celebrity Cruises
  17. The 50% off flash sales were on last week on some cruises. Someone posted it here on CC so I just lucked out. Keep checking!
  18. Keep an eye out for “flash sales” on your cruise. The decision to upgrade to premium is all about the price. Just upgraded for $9.99 a day with a flash sale (50% off) and I know it will definitely be worth it for me.
  19. Thanx. Was just loooking to book a specialty but it’s not even showing past day 8.
  20. Thinking this is just an error but seeing kids menu choices on BLU menu for upcoming NE/Canada cruise in Sept. Presume it’s just an error? Have others noticed that? Will eventually call but just asking here as no time to spend an hour on the phone today. 🤷🏻‍♀️
  21. Thanks so much! I thought it was me not correctly following the search instructions. Much appreciated. Hope this gets seen by others as well. Surprised moderator hasn't put that message on first post where the link is, or maybe they have and I missed it. So sorry to hear about Vtcruising. Rest in peace.
  22. Great idea on the i-phone photography classes. I think there would be a lot of interest, even with a fee.
  23. Truth. Maybe if we cruisers picked an empty location (WCB bar tables during the day come to mind) and opened our own "pharmacy hours" with the thousands of OTC meds we all bring on board, Celebrity would get the message.
