  1. Was it confirmed that an individual went overboard. Some years ago (pre-cameras) when we left Civitavecchia, Italy, right after dinner there was an Oscar, Oscar announcement. Saw crew members scurrying all over the place. We were on the Serenade and were ordered to our cabins so that they could control and inventory of all the passengers. They did this some 3 times. We had a balcony cabin, and it was a sight. Searchlights and other equipment not only from the Serenade but other cruise ships and other vessels that were in the area joined in the search. After some 4 hours of searching approval to leave was given by the Italian Coast Guard. The good news was that everyone was accounted for, and it was surmised that someone had left either a shirt or jacked on one of the loungers and it blew into the water. To this day I still don't understand why they did not require all passengers to meet in a location and scan their sea passes rather than a physical inventory while in cabins.
  2. Rough waters, maybe. When Allure stopped there last September, the surf/waves was really slamming into the ship.
  3. When I sailed Oasis in October, '22 my son when was traveling with me with his family was told only those passenger 65+ would receive the paper compass each night. I guess Royal does not think that us old folks are techied enough.😜
  4. Just an aside. On my Oasis August 20 sail paper compass was left in my cabin each night by my cabin steward. Also available at CS. However, any communication by theC& A loyalty ambassador was done via voice mail left on cabin telephone. Previously, Always received an invite via paper whether for repeat cruisers, C&A benefit listings or lunch with an officer. Many times I did not know what was going on until I went to cabin.
  5. Yes, I get double scoops and chocolate syrup. On Oasis August 20 sail. The ice cream lines at the pool deck were out of this world. Very popular with both kids and adults. No problem in getting double appetizers, entrees or desserts. Starbucks has cakes and pastries for a charge. Gelato is a different breed than ice cream
  6. If so, talk about being crowded which is a complaint on the Oasis clssses.
  7. We booked the excursion thru Royal last year and paid $79.99 pp. Now it’s closer to $140pp. I’m oasis now and the excursion was yesterday and excellent.
  8. Oh ok and thanks. Next time I’ll look for it.
  9. My question was an omelet station in the solarium cafe. In the WJ it was an individual at the egg station that took orders and gave you a sign with a number as ID. love the omelet station on the Anthem and after you order they give you a buzzer to advise when your order is ready.
  10. Is this new as only pre-made omelets cut in half were available on my December, '22 sail.
  11. Best Broadway show (Mamma Mia) at sea. The only Oasis class ship that I was able to get a to order omelet at breakfast in the WJ.
  12. Can you see them. On our October Oasis sail, my son was bitten on one of his nipples and started bleeding. He could not see what bit him and assumed it was a small crab. This occurred at Chill's Breezy Bay Beach area. Been there many times and this was the only occurrence.
  13. It's the neighborhood concept that spreads passengers and avoid constant crowdedness. Usually, one feels the crowds when certain events take place in the promenade and the other pf course is the pool areas.
  14. He better be careful as he can wind up like the Disney's x boss. Disney is feeling the pinch on it's park properties as constant increases in pricing is affecting attendance.
  15. We will be sailing on the 20th as a family of 8 since the end of the pandemic. We had to cancel Harmony Easter '20 sail and looking forward. However, our trip will only be a 25-minute ride via the Parkway/Turnpike.🤣
  16. Not sure that is right. You should have spoken to a supervisor as there are always empty tables on any night. When we sailed on Anthem, we booked the Kennedy Space Center, and we knew that we would miss the traditional 5:30 dining time. We advised our Headwaiter the night before and he made arrangements for us to dine in the MDR once we arrived from the tour. Both waiters and headwaiter for that dining section were professional and understanding.
  17. Not sure that was the reason why he got fired. The replacement is Iger.
  18. Just curious, with the soda package can you get cans of sodas at the bars, MDR, etc.
  19. If it's anything like the NorthStar on Anthem this activity is free of charge on port days. I had a difficult time reserving while on board. Was told that the reservations would open up at 8am each say, but every time I tried, I received a message that it was all booked. Finally asked the DL concierge to help me out. To this day, I still don't know what the proper procedure is. Wish it was same as (pre) booking of shows and other events.
  20. I learned from past mistakes and anytime there's a change to my reservations I do not end the call until I get the revised invoice and examine the changes. Just the difference in pricing should have been an indicator. Ps. I also charge any travel to my Chase Sapphire card which cover trip cancellation and interruption. Used the benefit multiple times and it's covered (including any change fees) by Zurich Insurance.
  21. Besides the # of daily drinks loaded to your Sea Pass the other values are teh C&A balcony discount ($250 for a 7 niter as D+) and the usage of the lounge. In addition, you are provided a robe, welcoming cabin gift, special bath/shower amenities, BOGO SR, interned discounts, reserved seating at certain venues, shareholder's benefit, etc. Also, a member with 340 + night single supplement fare in addition to the balcony discount. IMO, these benefits really ad up.
  22. Sometimes they resemble a swarm from the movie "The Birds"😆.
