  1. I wonder if @cublet is confusing with the C&A balcony discount. For instance, I'm eligible for the solo supplement (DP340) and rather than the $250 I get $188 instead. $188 is 75.2%.
  2. I thought it was per stateroom and not by individual. Years ago, they used to split the C&A balcony discount to 1st & 2nd Pax.
  3. Same here. Confused. I get the right amount of OBC when I book on board. When I book on land, I get no OBC unless it's a special promo. The latter statement are you talking about the NCC that needs to be converted into an actual sail within 2 months otherwise you lose the OBC.
  4. Really not fair. Those adult(s) 12 and over are charged the full cruise fare 🤣
  5. My understanding is that those shows that require reservations is that Royal keeps 25% for on board reservations. Usually, I have a problem getting Adult Comedy on Oasis and I basically go to Boleros and talk to the entertainment staff or if lucky try the APP.
  6. But the politicians themselves did not read it.🤣
  7. Could be as @2chiefs inferred, BOGO availability on any night other than 1/2 may depend on the level of pre-bookings.
  8. Wonder what would have happened if you showed up on the 4th night.🤣
  9. On Oasis August 20 sail, I was able to use it on night 2 & 5. However, the Maitre D screwed up the reservations on the 2nd part of the BOGO rather than Giovanni's he booked Chop's again. Able to fix it, but a t a much later time. We had a total party of 8. There are times that some Maitre Ds at SR seem disinterested and occasionally not being familiar with the program.
  10. In this day & age, we have a global economy. Many facets of American industry is owned by Foreign entities, in whole of via shareholders. What the impact of the need to stop at a foreign port between 2 American ports is what drives me crazy.
  11. I could never understand why it's there for cruising. In this day and age, what is it protecting?
  12. Not me, I usually use the BOGO or Chop's+1 on the 2nd night or the first formal (?) night.
  13. Are you sure that it wasn't a Pinnacle🤣 Also, enjoy the DL while it's on the 11-12th deck. On Oasis, the Loyalty Ambassador has the nice view of the Boardwalk.
  14. But even with C+1 there's no guarantee as to date/day or time for the 2nd restaurant.
  15. 👍 It may be different from ship to ship and also the itinerary and port of departure. For instance, I'm sailing Oasis from Bayonne on October 9th and Chop's +1 was available for booking. However, my 3 sailings in 2024 on Anthem (2) and Symphony none listed.
  16. On my Oasis August 20 event, as you mentioned the wine was free flowing. I'm not a wine drinker and asked for a light beer. To my surprise, which did not happen previously, they charged my D+ drink allowance.🤣 By the way they had a nice filet as an entree and cooked to my liking.
  17. That's the same thought that came to mind. Miscellaneous-Good Grief! I guess their IT codes are very limited.😆
  18. Unless it's quite recent, I was able to get the BOGO for nights 2 & 5 on Oasis August 20 sail. The booking was done on board and not pre-booked. The funny thing was that I was cruising with family members and I had made pre-cruise reservations of Chop's +1 for them. Went to Chop's when boarded and asked the Maitre D to book my BOGO and he gives me grief by telling me that it's a party of 8 and the table was set up for 7. Mind you, this was as we boarded, and the Chop's was for the 2nd night. I looked at him and said I have 3 children and I'm sure you can squeeze another chair. Well, when we got there, it was a totally different table (by the wine refrigerator) than the one he pointed out. Gets better, the second restaurant reserved was Giovanni's. When he entered my BOGO, he screwed it all up as he had all of us in Chop's instead of G. So instead of being Chop's and some other restaurant it was C & C.🤣 Was able to resolve it but instead of 5:30 we ate at 7:45. I'm solo and never had any problems getting the BOGO for different nights.
  19. Same here on Oasis & Anthem. What I find frustrating, when I need a connecting cabin for my party, they are more expensive than a non. However, when I travel solo without anyone, the connecting ones are much cheaper. Can't win in life.🤣
  20. Sorry, meant as to the lack of flexibility to the statement in the rules. For instance, if Oasis is sailing from Bayonne and the first stop is Cape Canaveral and there's a huge emergency (involves multiple Paxs) and needs to dock somewhere in between. At what point is Royal fined and the fine is it based on passengers getting off or the entire population. Also, if there's a death, does Royal bill the estate.
