I'm fortunate in 2 ways. My grandkids return to school after Labor Day and 2, I usually plan on an Easter week sail as they go to Catholic School, and I know the time frame otherwise it would be very difficult as I plan some 1+ years so that I can get a decent price and cabin location. For instance, I booked a sail on Anthem for Easter '24 which I booked in mid-December '22.

Do mock bookings. I'm sailing on Oasis on August 20 from Bayonne and got the kids sail free promo. By the way my comments was in jest as Royal recycles the sale promos whether its 30% or 60% off the 2nd Pax.

Sometimes there’s an IT bug. Let me tell you of a recent event. Got an e/mail from Royal advising that my October Oasis sail is on sale. So I go and do a mock pricing for a cabin for 3. Amazing as my CP balcony was higher than an ocean view balcony. Not only was it showing the balcony discount but also a $100 flash sale. Call up Royal and I tell the CS agent that I want to move to the ocean view balcony. However, from his side he wasn’t getting the same numbers. He was higher by some $400. I kept telling him that I was looking at the screen and gave him the breakdown not only in total but by individual. He puts me on hold as he wants to discuss it with his team. Bottom line after about 15 minutes of telling me yo hold on, I get my price. For a difference of $53.35 not only did I get an ocean view balcony, but a large ocean view balcony. However, the story does not end there. Get an e-mail from them that I owe $100 otherwise Royal was cancelling. Call them and the agent says nothing is due as I had paid the entire amount that was due on July 10th. However, the amount was due on an excursion in Nassau. Now I’m really confused. Anyway, found out that somehow the shareholder’s $100 OBC was removed. 😝 Don’t know and he did not know who removed it. Conclusion, everything is hopefully in order.

That is the lasagna that I'm accustomed to. Plenty of ricotta, mozzarella, ground beef (Optional) and a nice homemade tomato sauce.

You'll enjoy it. We purchased the Key around Labor Day, and it was either $15.99 or $16.99 pp/pd. At that price it was well worth it.

Traditional on Anthem in February I was seated with 4 ladies. As a solo male held my own. 🤣

Not in my case. Sailing on Oasis in august and reserves are not available even though the blurb says to do it on line🤣

To get decent prices, you need to book as soon as the schedule comes out. To mitigate the NR deposit I like to book on board and as a solo my exposure is only $100 if I need to cancel.

They really rise as you get closer to your sail. My suggestion is book and if prices drop get them repriced. Many of the refreshments and internet package costs for my family are hundreds of $ more.

Yeah, but sometimes if you come in second, your selections are narrowed especially if you have a sizeable group. Lately, I've been renting the beach bed which at this time are reasonable in price.
