  1. Well, this make me want to puke 🙂 Are you by any chance a USAA member? I chose them because my husband has been with USAA for over 50 years and I figured they wouldn't farm it out to just anyone. And, yes, best wishes for a continued recovery. Cat
  2. Oops, we also. I just got so excited 🙂 PS: Where in Oregon? We used to live in Grants Pass near Medford.
  3. We got a second res at Jacques sharing with a very nice couple. And IIRC we ordered and ate at our own pace if that makes sense. Just sharing the table. And chatting 🙂
  4. That's nice. I honestly can remember once when we ordered room service for dinner. After a lunch on shore, we shared a burger for dinner. A glass of red would have been nice.
  5. I didn't know that. You were just there, weren't you?
  6. When I see the cost of some of the mixers I won't be surprised if there's a charge.
  7. It just really blows my mind. I love my home, those friends, the kids and grands, the shops, driving my car. You name it. MAYBE two a year but more likely one every year or two.
  8. Sketchy? Stealing is what I would call it.
  9. Wherever we travel in the world we LOVE good food. If I don't have a connection, which I rarely do, I google and get insanely good recommendations. But you have to know how to tell the truly good from the not so hot.
  10. But better than six days - IMO! - confined to a ship cabin.
  11. PS: I've loved this thread because since reading it I can't walk through a single room in our house - kitchen and baths included - without seeing at least one souvenir from a trip.
  12. You know its real name is Patagonian toothfish, right? 🙂
  13. One of my food 'things' is texture. And any burger will have a better texture than a whole lot of filets, some of which aren't that tender. Whatever. Just looked this up: " Price: American wagyu costs upwards of $15 to $40 per pound, while Japanese wagyu costs $120 to $300 per pound. Marbling: Purebred and full-blooded American wagyu has marbling similar to A3 or A4 Japanese Wagyu.Feb 20, 2024
  14. I have an O rep 'buddy' and I have his personal email address. FWIW.
  15. I recently read that one company charged $950. I hope there are plenty that cost WAY less than that.
  16. Cruise on Oceania and probably half of those costs will vanish.
  17. So did Cruise Critic ask you to do this? Not sure the purpose. Do you do any traveling that's not cruising? Now that could be a survey?
  18. But she may have gotten better here, especially in SF.
  19. Oh good. When we were in Norway we went in a shop that had lots of souvenirs. Except for some Norwegian sea salt which I bought everything else was made in China. I was looking for "made in Norway."
