  1. For whatever reason Harr Travel never says what cabin number they are touring
  2. The forward cabins are not much larger with the exception of the balconies which are huge. Bathrooms and layouts are very similar. If you need a larger bathroom on an older ship you might want to book one of the Haven cabins
  3. Might be possible, clearing the channel will the #1 priority for now. The bridge..... that will be 2-3 years away
  4. Not going to argue but they have not talked to the crew. Reports are the lights on the ship went out twice do to a power failure. It only takes 2-3 crew members on a ship of that size to shut power off. Not saying that happened but that is one possible scenario. You can see a huge black fume of smoke right before the ship hit, most likely due to getting power back and trying to go full reverse
  5. From reports on ship tracking it looks like the ship lost power twice, slowed..... went off course (no steering) and hit the bridge. Since the ship had a harbor pilot onboard will know sooner than later
  6. Yea, love the Haven restaurant, not on the Gem but thats OK
  7. Thanks, on our very first cruise we had a suite on the Gem and both Breakfast and lunch was in Cagneys, that was also 13 years ago
  8. 14 cruises on NCL and 4 have had itinerary changes. Our 14 day had major changes done within 30 days of the cruise. Our 12 day had minor changes. Two others were due to weather (hurricanes)
  9. You could also rent two Twizzy electric cars from the dockyard
  10. You don't really want to walk along any of the main roads, they are very narrow and it some places have walls on both side
  11. https://walksinistanbul.com/dress-code-mosques-istanbul/
  12. Yup, take the ferry to St Georges. The Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo is pretty nice. And yes too cold to go in the water unless you have a wetsuit or are a crazy teen The dockyard will get old pretty fast and you'll get bored of it. I would come up with a plan. Looks like it will be 70 next week with a low if 65 so not too bad of temps, however on or near the water will be cooler
  13. A robot vacuum cleaner will help with that ๐Ÿ˜† All kidding aside probably the best money we every spent was on a robot vacuum / mop
  14. You are lucky you are not leaving Saturday, sounds like it will be miserable around here
  15. Their are a number of YT videos of idiots flying drones from ships as the ships were moving. Most of them never saw the drone again๐Ÿคฃ I wouldn't in a million years try it, too much metal, wind speed and interference from radar
  16. Thats why you need to put it in checked baggage, 4 times for me and always made it. I would not even think about flying it off the ship, in port or not.
  17. Yup, the Haven Spa Cabin my wife and I had was $1400 cheaper than the next cheapest Haven cabin on the GA. For that amount of money I'll spend the 90 seconds walking to the Haven Courtyard Lol
  18. The same on the Getaway on our last 12 days. The Concierge's explained on day one, port days when boarding the ship come to the forward gangway.
  19. Thanks, thats what I was hoping to hear
  20. Maybe my checked baggage comment wasn't clear. We have checked baggage going on the ship but plan to do easy walk off so no need to go to baggage claim. Wondering how long of a wait is their for the elevator
  21. Planning to do easy walk off in June. Do they have elevator(s)? Will be in a suite so hopefully will be one of the first off. Will have carry on and checked luggage, I know it NYC they do not allow you to use the escalator unless you have one free hand
