  1. Thanks. I guess that I thought it was odd that he was posting on Princess and assumed everyone would know what he is talking about.
  2. That is a shame. Victoria is a great city. Dark in July would be about 10:00 or a bit later.
  3. Sapphire! There was another detailed thread as was mentioned. We have been on the Coral and your teenagers would go STIR CRAZY!!! It is not or favorite ship for many reasons
  4. I have to say that their logic is not logical. Nice slacks and a nice shirt take up far less room than heavy outer wear. DH brings nice slacks, nice collared shirt and a tie..... Whoa... That tie takes up so much space! 😄
  5. You are on the Dream? I guess that is a ship. Which cruise line?
  6. It has to do with existing medical conditions. That is why many purchase it within two weeks of booking, so they can be covered if needing to cancel.
  7. Pardon me. It is still way to short IMHO. But it is your dime and time.
  8. That is a lot to do in one day. You arrive on the 12th and will most likely have jet lag and will get settled in your hotel. You have the 13th to tour. Then you get a transfer to the port on the 14th. If possible, consider staying 3 nights.
  9. As non-suite guests, we have always been able to select our disembarkation time.
  10. Actually, we are not Elite and have never booked a suite. We signed up for the first walk-off time and were the first off of the ship. We did not "stand in line", but waited comfortably in the Crown Grill.
  11. Thank you for sharing this company. It is always helpful to have this as a resource when booking shore excursions.
  12. Well, pardon me for my effort in making suggestions as to our opinion and experience. Common sense would suggest that IF ANY, you would "tip extra" with GBP, not American dollars.
  13. We had an inside cabin on the Crown which was next to a vague white space. Never again!!! It turned out to be some sort of engine room and was always super loud.
  14. Partially covered and a decent sized balcony is the way to go.
  15. Premium does not automatically mean a larger balcony. Possibly the Sun will be different in this interpretation. There are many balconies on other Princess ships that are designated Premium or Premium Deluxe and have the shallow balconies! It is best to look at the deck plans on Princess for size comparisons. But the Sun may be different.
  16. It states that you get an "Invitation to 360". But what is the cost? An invitation does not mean paid for or complimentary.
  17. We did self disembarking off the Grand in Vancouver, BC. As far as I could tell, we were the very first off of the ship. No one else was in sight. And we are not Elite nor did we have a suite.
  18. What a fabulous day and outing! @Ken the cruiser Thank you for sharing with us.
  19. We typically have the Princess Plus and tip extra in cash to those who really stand out... Like our cabin steward, a sweetie at the buffet, a bartender who knows exactly what you want and how to fix it. We also tip a few dollars for room service and enjoy doing that. The tips are always in American dollars in an envelope with their name on it and ours as well with cabin number.
  20. Wow. I am so sorry to hear of this cancellation. I wish the best for all of you on this Inaugural cruise and to those who were injured and work at the shipyards in Italy.
  21. Thank you so much for finding and posting this! Ugh... the Tattoo is not cheap through the ship. Even our favorite cabins are still available. 😍 Now..... to tell DH
  22. The Military Tattoo is only in August. We wanted to return for that. However, there is not even one Princess ship offering an excursion for it during their August itineraries. They used to, and I am very disappointed.
