  1. Thank you! This makes it much easier to visualize the locations. ⚓️
  2. We just scheduled our flights into FLL arriving 3/28, so planning on spending 2 nights in Fort Lauderdale. Is there an area you recommend that is convenient to restaurants and hopefully shopping to p/u the last minute essentials? (I tried searching & reading but quickly became overwhelmed with the different areas 🤣) Thank you!
  3. We just came to the same realization over the weekend. I couldn’t figure out why everything was either sold out or exorbitantly priced. Following for suggestions…
  4. I’m not sure if this would help, but I have to travel with this for the same reason. https://a.co/d/irkLWUh I had back surgery a few years ago, and now I can’t ‘climb’ into beds. It only weighs 2 pounds and folds completely flat.
  5. Our experience was in May, but unless things have changed significantly since then I would not recommend Budget at Canaveral. It took my husband 2.5 hours to return, after dropping me and the luggage off at the port. The lines for both p/u & d/o were out the door and only 2 employees working. He and another couple ended up taking a cab, because there was one shuttle running and it too was backed-up.
  6. My SIL reported that they were not allowing diapered children in the pool. All needed to be potty trained
  7. Definitely agree~ We enjoyed Grills the evening before our last cruise and we ate at Kelly’s prior to flying home after the cruise. (We spent the day at Jetty Park). Both were excellent. We also stayed at Country Inn & Suites, and had a pleasant stay. Clean, quiet and comfortable.
  8. Before I retired, my job took me to places immediately following several natural disasters (Katrina, Sandy, Michael…). Any curiosity I felt prior to those experiences was quickly quenched. I am drawn to Hawaii, but other than donating money and supplies there is not much I can offer.
  9. When we disembarked we waited 90 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up to take us to the rental office. There we waited 60 minutes to get to the counter, only to find out they didn’t have the vehicle we reserved. They had our reservation, just not a vehicle. We waited another hour for a car to be turned in, so it could be turned over for our use. The car was not cleaned, just handed the keys to us. It was filthy inside. Fast food wrappers, beer cans (😳) and other trash inside. We had only rented for 9 hours, and we used 4 already. Prior to returning the car @ MCO, we filled the gas tank. Luckily, I had taken a picture of the dash. When we arrived home, I noticed I was charged a penalty for returning the car on empty, plus the cost of gas for them to fill it up. I had to involve my CC company to resolve.
  10. We used Budget and had Fast Break in May and it was an awful experience. I would believe the negative reviews. Have you looked into Alamo? Are they still available at PC?
  11. We had a terrible experience with Budget at PC, so I think you are making the right decision. Here is a list of shuttle companies that @GTO-Girl has helpfully put together:
  12. Are the kids getting the upgraded beverage package also? My son used to enjoy virgin daiquiris (especially banana) and pina coladas 🍹 I would recommend tasting it first before you hand it off to your kids, unless you watched it being made. We had one or two ‘oops’ moments on NCL when we ordered from a pool server
  13. I use the ThermaCare brand when I travel, and have had no issues bringing them on the ship. They stay hot for several hours, and they adhere to skin/clothing so they stay where you put them https://www.amazon.com/s?k=thermacare&rh=p_85%3A2470955011&dc&crid=2E4DLV5BQEC0E&qid=1689721781&rnid=2470954011&sprefix=thermacare%2Caps%2C363&ref=is_r_p_85_1&ds=v1%3ATrUcZLM133g9PsZr1nbdEcgd%2FQCntRK6M5GSfxvG33k
  14. In May, there were 2 small busses (vans??) and they ran loops starting at 10:00am. I was able to sign up about a week before. Hopefully, they find what works for them and can continue providing the service because we would definitely stay there again. ⚓️
  15. We stayed at Country Inn & Suites the night prior to our cruise in May. They had the typical hotel breakfast and also had a shuttle (for a few dollars) to the port.
  16. This just happened this week to my son. He had to gate check his bag, and for some reason it did not make it onto the plane. Fortunately, he was traveling home.
  17. No pictures, but I had it in May on the Getaway. It looked much like Bird’s but with even less seafood. The majority was calamari, which was tough and flavorless
  18. We will keep it down, unless DH starts snoring.. 😂. In that case, I’ll be sleeping on the balcony.
  19. How did you like this cabin with regards to location and noise level? We are booked in 9780 for a 21 day Panama Canal cruise, and I’m a bit concerned being above all the activity on deck 8.
  20. Yahooo!!! Another vacay with Wildra and W! I love your writing and your pics ⚓️
  21. Both varieties of pretzel rolls were available at the buffet last month. Often, one or the other, but sometimes both.
  22. The scallops (appetizer) at Ocean Blue were excellent last month on the Getaway. I also agree the French onion soup at LeBistro is very good.
  23. The Bird was not being confrontational, simply pointing out that you are linking a site that does not answer the question. The OS/DOS allows guests to pre-select bottles of their choosing to be stocked in the room prior to embarkation as one of the perks.
  24. I brought my Flexstyle on the Getaway last month. It made a ‘buzzing’ noise and quit working. It will not work at home at all now.
  25. I had originally booked with Cruise Control. The airline changed our flight times, and Cruise Control wasn’t available at the new time. I should have taken it as a sign that Cocoa Beach Shuttle was the only company with availability on short notice.. ⚓️
