  1. Is this because we Americans are so much larger than our friends up North and across the pond? 🥺
  2. A copy of your Set Sail pass, which you can have electronically on your app, although I print them out. It is probably best to have a picture of the bar code so you can readily produce it. You will also need the credit card you are going to use for your onboard account. We also print out enough luggage tags for our bags (on the second to the last page of the cruise contract) and attach them before we get to the port. Finally, some document (e-doc or printed) that has your check-in time on it (I print the first page of the cruise contract) because some embarkation ports check it. Also, I don’t know if your trip is a TA (Transatlantic), but for the one we are on in October, they still require proof of a negative CoVid test, which has to be proctored, and must be completed no more than 3-days before sail away!
  3. But, to answer your question, for a 3-night package, once on board, you can do the same restaurant x3, or three different restaurants x1, or one restaurant x2 and a different restaurant x1. (It HAS changed from the way it used to be.) Prices of individual restaurants are no longer limiting when you pre-purchase a package.
  4. I am pretty sure, YES! Same category, same price, no problem!
  5. The Infinity has NOT been revolutionized at all. There is an old Michael’s Club, but NO retreat Sundeck. The only suite amenity would be Luminae. Of the ships you mentioned, only the Millennium and the Silhouette have been revolutionized. I would pick one of those!
  6. Hi Gen X, Loving your review, as usual! I find myself wanting to book YC now…would you mind sharing what kind of a suite you are in? I know on X you often do Celebrity (or higher). Is there a similar ‘tier’ of suites in YC where those in higher suites get more amenities?
  7. It is supposed to…but we all know consistency is not shoreside’s strong suit.
  8. Can’t wait to pull up a chair with my coffee (or wine 🍷) and join you on the Seascape! Thank you!!
  9. Hmmm. So those who vape would have their experience enhanced by being able to vape in the casino. Presumably, X got this feedback on some post-cruise surveys. The following sentence is pure BS…why would a casino guest that is not a vaper say ANYTHING about vaping in the casino WHEN VAPING IS NOT ALLOWED? How many non-vaping casino guests did they ask? Those of us who do NOT vape DO NOT appreciate the vaper that turns their head to the side and exhales their vape on us. As a non-vaper, i would hope that the rest of my ilk would leave the table when a vaper sits down. Let the casino manager see it happen! The ‘test’ began shortly after final payment on my Equinox cruise…and the cruise will be part of the ‘test.’
  10. @jagoffee: It doesn’t say MDR; it says “Main Dining Time - Anytime Dining.”
  11. Thx!! We have an 8-day cruise on the Equinox in August. I am a casino girl so I already have a premium drink package. I had purchased a Classic package for DH during a previous sale for a total of $641 (incl gratuities). Today, after literally HOURS on hold, I got him the Premium bev package for $518 and some change (incl gratuity). Score!!! 🥰
  12. If it is a pre- pre- pre- Super Bowl show, doesn’t that make it the Puppy Bowl? 🐶
  13. This thread is great! But still looking for Crap table minimums after March, which I know was $10 on an M class and an E class. Anyone??
  14. Does anyone know how to make this thread a “sticky”?
  15. I know! As late as March, on the Summit and on the Apex, it was a $10 minimum. Hoping that a recent cruiser can comment!
  16. Concur in spades! If the company can’t proofread its own content, or is ignorant of basic grammar rules, I question the brains behind the operation!
  17. Awww, thanks! Yes, I have seen the changes on the Infinity over the years. On one of our cruises on her (the last before many of her dry docks) there was hardly ANY air conditioning and plenty of plumbing problems. Went on her again after the purported dry dock, and not much had improved - our cabin was unreasonably hot. Haven’t been on her in years, although the Summit and Millie are lovely post-revolution. We also liked the Connie, but if she has been revolutionized, we have not been on her since then.
  18. The Millie is an old but lovely ship. @jelayne is spot on, and the view shared is beautiful. Up to you to decide if a Sky Suite is right for you…her architectural limitations prevented WHERE X could put the Sky Suites, but she remains one of my favorites. I think she was our first Sky Suite … the second sailing after cruises resumed in North America … the ship was only 30% full and it was the cruise of a lifetime!
  19. @mahdnc, you are spot on! When I was a child, I sailed with my family on the SS United States from New York to the UK. On my first few sailings on the Infinity, I was delighted to eat in that restaurant and look at the photos, menus, and artifacts from the SS United States. It brought back so many memories! And yes, the food in that restaurant on the Infinity was Very similar to Murano…very rich and delicious!
  20. They don’t ever open the Craps table during the day. No way would I play a $25 minimum. Can anybody else share what the Craps minimum was on your last X cruise?
  21. Oh, Dear. In my opinion, Infinity is a very old ship that needs lots of attention. I have been on her several times, but am now trying to avoid her for those reasons. If you are trying Celebrity for the first time, I think a voyage on Infinity might turn you off to the line, especially given the lines you have sailed with. Again, just my opinion.
  22. I never knew there could be ‘left over wine’ … 🥺.
  23. Have fun! And yes, your described attire sounds perfect!
