  1. Paul was the host on Summit when I sailed in June and September. He is on until some time in November - he’s my favorite host!
  2. Approximately when do you receive the concierge letter? Booked in a GS sailing on October 15.
  3. Wanted to share the excellent experience we had with Advance Car Rental on our August 2023 cruise. We booked on line, car was parked right outside of port gates, a representative met us with a sign with our name, brought us to the car, provided a map, a gps with preprogrammed popular sites, and a cell phone to reach them, if necessary. Rental was $125 for the day and that included full insurance coverage. We explored several of the sites, went to a couple of beaches, stopped at the flamingo sanctuary (no flamingos around). We enjoyed having our own transportation from 10 AM to 5 PM. There were three of us, so it was definitely cheaper than purchasing ship excursions and so much more convenient.
  4. I have gotten invited on every cruise - never sure whether it’s because of cabin (sailed aqua, concierge, and veranda), loyalty status or casino status. I have never been on a sailing before where they charged for sailaway from a port. I did ask some of the people I chatted with if they did the for fee sailaway and no one had or knew if it was different.
  5. I have no idea if anything was offered - I sat on my balcony and enjoyed sailaway there. It was a beautiful day and I imagine seeing the St. Lawrence was nice from that vantage point, but I have skipped free offers before, I wasn’t going to pay for one. Curious if this is a regular offer on this cruise. I saw it on the daily the day before.
  6. I was on the Summit August 30, 2023 New England/Canada cruise. I was invited to the sailaway from Prince Edward Island. I have done many of the sailaways and skipped it, but was surprised to see they offered sailaway from Quebec for $79 pp. Apparently some ports are more desirable for a sailaway and can generate revenue.
  7. Is there any video poker in the smoke free casino? Thanks for any info!
  8. Happy Anniversary! Will be on Oasis in October - first time on Oasis class, got a great casino deal on a grand suite so thinking about this like a great hotel stay; unlikely to get off at any port. I am pretty much a Celebrity fan, but have sailed enough on Royal to be Diamond without the Celebrity match. Looking forward to your comments!
  9. I was attempting to check menus on Equinox last night and wasn’t able to pull them up (sailing 8/19). Just assumed it was some kind of IT issue. I’m hoping it shows up before the cruise, we’re talking about going to Tuscan Grill one night and I wanted to choose a night where MDR menu didn’t have favorites.
  10. Thanks for sharing your comments and pictures! Especially grateful for your meeting regarding the vaping issue - I did send an email to Celebrity but have received no response to date. Congrats on the very nice win - I play video poker on Equinox and the Heidi machine is across from the bank of video poker machines - I can still hear the bonus tune😆
  11. Enjoy that cruise! I have a few booked through another agency that books comped cruises - so much easier than contacting BlueChip directly!
  12. We were on Equinox in March 2023 and they had Heineken 0.
  13. There is another option for golf carts on Bonaire - it’s called golfcartrentalbonaire.com. I have no idea how good they are - they had an ad saying they would be adding 4 passenger golf carts and I contacted them for our visit in August. They do not have the 4 passenger carts yet, but did have 2 passenger carts available (I checked some time in April). I’ve been getting the Effy pendants on my last few sailings - they offer little charms that fit in them, you just have to show up at the store at specified times. Thanks for the great review on Tuscan, was considering it for August and I think you’ve convinced me that it’s worth a visit!
  14. Had a similar experience in March on Equinox with their maitre’d Webster -had an assigned table for early seating for three, got to table and another party was seated there, got sent upstairs to select dining and told we should report there each night. Came the next night and the hostess questioned why we were there because we had an assigned time and table for traditional dining, but they did seat us in select and told us to go to traditional following. Went to traditional on third night and were seated at “our” assigned table, we thought the issue was finally resolved. Next night we arrive and find people seated at our assigned table. Lots of confusion with waiters, assistant maitre’d finally found a larger table for us and we dined there for the remainder of the cruise. We arrived at 5:45 each evening, so we were prompt for our reservation. Not impressed at all by Webster and was surprised as I have sailed on Equinox several times before and never had this issue. Our waiter said the problem was that there was a large charter on that sailing and there was some confusion.
  15. Love your pictures! I am enjoying your report so much - thank you for sharing😊
  16. I love the confirmation gift! I take nieces/nephews on 21st birthday trips - they all look forward to it. Making memories with them is a special gift for you all❤️
  17. I was on Equinox this March when an Abraham Hicks group was on board. The only real issue is they had most of the MDR reserved for early dining so it was tougher to get a table. Group was around 900; less people in the solarium and pool ares during the day as they were at seminars/workshops. Cafe al Bacio had long lines when the group had breaks. Group was pretty diverse as far as age was concerned, some young children. One couple that we met on an excursion stressed that they were not a cult (although we thought they sounded like they were). Some of the events that are usually held in the theater during the day were held in alternate venues - Celebrity Central, etc., so seating was a little tougher.
  18. So glad to be reading another one of your live reports! Have a wonderful time with your mother - that is special time❤️
  19. I am using another third party for bookings on Celebrity for comped cruises. My concern was like yours - I thought I would not be able to book through them as I had sailed on Celebrity a month before, but have booked three cruises for 2023 through them with no problems.
  20. They have pot du crème that I love - I think it’s just called chocolate pot and a cafe pot (coffee flavored). Also a fan of crème brûlée and cherries jubilee. I am not really fond of their cake desserts.
  21. Disembarked with our group - off at about 9, got luggage and out of the terminal in about 5 minutes, but then had to wait about 10 minutes for a cab. Got to Enterprise around 9:35, so 5 minutes later than our appointment.
  22. We rented from Enterprise in San Pedro a couple of weeks ago when we got back from our cruise. They told us they were no longer picking up, so we just cabbed over - I think it was $16. We had an appointment for pickup - 9:30 AM, several people were there before us but they took us as we had the “earlier “ appointment. Price was $110 for a Toyota RAV.
  23. The only place I have found Dover Sole is at Murano - one of my favorite dishes!
  24. Ally was our sommelier last year in Cyprus - he was just outstanding! Our waiter was Amit, we were so lucky to have such a great team. Loving your report and pictures!
