  1. Got the email today for the August 8 sailing - no Icy Strait Point, no Dawes Glacier - substitution of Ketchikan and shortened time in ports. Not happy about sailing on a ship that is having some type of mechanical issues before we even get out of port.
  2. Someone sailing on Quantum a month or two ago reported there were no video poker machines - they did say they heard the casino was supposed to be getting some kind of upgrade in July - hoping they add some then, will be on an Alaska cruise in August.
  3. Love your reports Generation X - thank you for sharing with us! I’m booked for 7 cruises this year (so far😆) and 3 are solo. I totally understand what you’re saying about how enjoyable it is to be responsible for your own happiness. My friends frequently ask me if I’m lonely on a solo cruise - I am as social or alone as I choose to be - I love it! Hope to meet you one day on a Celebrity cruise.
  4. Niece and I booked in a Jr. Suite, her son and wife booked in an inside cabin. One of the move up offers for me is a two bedroom suite - if I won this bid and we chose to let the younger couple share with us, would I have to rebook for them and pay additional charges? Thanks!
  5. My two favorite ships! Summit gets a little edge from me because it feels like coming home - wonderful staff! Also appreciate the sailings out of NJ because it’s an easy drive for me. I love Equinox and the plus there is Murano. Will be on Summit in less than two weeks and looking forward to it!
  6. The carriage tour is something I haven’t done in many trips to Bermuda, sounds like fun. I tried to check prices on it, but couldn’t find anything. Do you remember what the charge was?
  7. Thanks for the speedy response from both of you - recently filled out the application for Bermuda cruise in two weeks - getting dizzy from all the various applications!
  8. We are booked on an Alaskan cruise sailing out of Seattle in August. We are booked for a flight into Seattle 4 days before the cruise - currently planning on renting a car and taking the car ferry over to Victoria for a couple of nights before the cruise, taking ferry back to Seattle for cruise. Do we need to complete the ArriveCan for the ferry to Victoria then again for the Victoria stop during the cruise? Thanks for any info!
  9. We did the train, too, in April 2022 and thought it was one of the best excursions we’ve booked through Celebrity.
  10. Thanks! Thought I might be ok with that flight but wanted to confirm I wasn’t just wishing it would work. Originally planned on flying into Miami but couldn’t find any times that would really work.
  11. Trying to set up air for a August cruise out of Miami, most affordable and best times would be flying in and out of FLL but not sure if a noon flight home is doable coming from Miami. Flight out of FLL would be on a Sunday so no commuter traffic and I would be getting a ride from Miami with Florida family who are on the cruise with me. I did this particular flight in and out of FLL in April for a cruise from Port Everglades and had a lot of time to kill at FLL. Thanks for any input!
  12. It was available on Apex this April, and I also enjoyed it on Constellation the month before. However, escargot was not available on Apex - they said it was a supply issue.
  13. Last time was April 2022 on Apex, prior on Millenium September 2021.
  14. I have ordered the kid’s filet as an entree for me - perfect portion size.
  15. We stayed at a Hampton in Plantation in August 2021. Nice property, had a shuttle available to port for a fee - I think it was $10 pp. we didn’t use this service, drove to port and parked in the garage. It was less than 10 miles to port.
  16. Thanks so much for the detailed report - we are sailing Quantum on August 8 and this was very handy for deciding what we want to do on board. Surprised no video poker on board but I guess that means I will be spending less time and $$$ in the smoky casino. Did Alaska last September on Celebrity Millenium, which was a very enjoyable experience. Thinking this will be quite different!
  17. Thanks so much for sharing, I enjoyed following your adventures. Hard to come back during a tropical storm, just kills those cruise vibes.
  18. I used the laundry bag on my March sailing on Constellation and again on my April sailing on Apex. In both cases it was returned in two days.
  19. Sailed Constellation in March, escargot and crème brûlée on menu and available. On Apex April 23 - first night escargot on menu but not available, second night not showing up on menu. Our waiter said it was a supply issue. Last night of cruise I noticed crème brûlée not on classic menu - asked our waiter as a matter of curiosity if this was an oversight - he said they had discontinued crème brûlée as a classic dessert about six months ago. Thought that was strange because it was still listed on Constellation’s menu the month before. Btw, our waiter brought a crème brûlée after he said they weren’t doing them! I assumed they might be serving them in one of the specialty restaurants and no longer in the main dining room. Just thought it was odd.
