Hi, I’m on the Mardi Gras, and I’m needing some urgent help. TSA searched my son’s checked luggage and apparently didn’t put everything back. He’s missing a sandal, a water shoe and every pair of pajamas we packed for him. Is there somewhere in walking distance of the port we can try to get him some pj’s? Maybe water shoes? I’m good on sandals because thankfully I brought more than 1 pair. But we’d really like to get him some jammies today.

Are there no balcony lights? Sorry if that’s a dumb question but I can’t find them if there are!

I’m loving the start to your review. We leave Thursday for our Mardi Gras trip so this is a great way to pass the time! Thank you for taking the time to do it!

Have a great cruise! Where is your hotel? Is it close to the port?

What happened?

Yeah several years ago when we cruised, way before covid we did FTTF and we were not seated in the Diamond lounge. We sat in the regular terminal with everyone else. I don’t really understand why that changed.

Are there any sit down restaurants in the airport pre-security? We’re staying at the Hyatt Regency at MCO and it sounds like the hotel restaurant is closed. So we were hoping something would be open to grab dinner next week.

I’m not sure where the horizon is currently, but there’s no way I’d want to chance that many people to an Uber. If you go to the section of cruise critic that is for your specific embarkation port, you’ll see all kids of recommendations for shared shuttle services and I’d start there. Those companies have small shuttle buses and large passenger vans that can accommodate all of you guys together. I’m not sure what your flight situation is, but I’d sure not rely on Uber for that many people if I were in a hurry.

Can you afford it? That’s the first question you need to ask yourself. And if you can, I’d say go for it. This is our first cruise with it coming up and we did the same thing. Should we, shouldn’t we? But ultimately we decided that getting on the ship and having very little other expenses sounded nice. And honestly, with having the drinks already paid for I assume we’ll consume more than if they weren’t. My husband and I were just debating about if we should pack a cup to fill at lido. Ultimately I decided we didn’t need to because we could just grab a bottle of water and take it back. Without cheers I would never walk up and order a bottle of water but you better believe I will this time!

Honestly, I don’t think you’re going to get an answer that gives you complete certainty that it will be ok.. If it were me, I’d bring my birth certificate just in case the passport isn’t accepted. I personally “think” it will be ok, but I wouldn’t chance a whole cruise on it either.

I called and ordered a distilled water months ago. But long deleted the email. Is there a way to see that the water has been ordered in my carnival account?

Oh trust me, we’re working on it. But it’s a battle I’d rather not fight in the middle of the MDR because it usually involves tears. He’s only 4, he has plenty of time to grow out of it.

What city are you in?

I don’t know? We have a suite and priority is on our luggage tags and boarding pass in big bold red letters. But the lady who was platinum’s did not have that. So I’m not really sure. Are the plantings people using the priority lounge or is it just Diamond/suites? We’ll be on the MG in 2 weeks so I’ll report back.

From what I understand is they allow you to go to your room as soon as you board did drop off your stuff. But I’ve also read in other places that some stewards allow you to stay if the room is ready. The intent from carnival is just for you to drop your belongings.

That may work for us. We’re also on 14. Have a safe drive today!

Hey everyone, we leave on the MG in 2 weeks and my extremely picky 4yo lives off chicken nuggets, Mac n cheese, and pb&j. Now, I know the kid’s menu offers that, but does anyone happen to have pics of those items. He wants to see what the items look like. 🙄 I tried searching but I just didn’t find pictures of the actual food. He also wants to know if there’s donuts for breakfast. (He’ll eat other things for breakfast, but I’ll ask regardless)

Thank you so much for your review! How were the elevators this morning getting off the ship? We’re trying to self assist with our luggage and kids and I’m leaning towards bad idea. But we have a ride picking us up at 8:30 and a 12:10 flight.

We’re in one of these in just 2 weeks. We have 14410. I’m so glad you liked it. I was a little worried about the privacy, but honestly the size and view of the balcony wins out!

Someone just posted this exact same thing on our cruise group on another site. I’m in a suite and it has the red priority logo on my boarding pass. So do the Diamond cruisers. But platinum just says platinum. Seems strange?
