  1. I can completely agree with that. We’ve had an aft balcony on Princess and on the Breeze. I loved the view, but the soot was already terrible. I feel like it just comes with the territory and I don’t know if there’s much that can be done about it other than them clean the balcony daily.
  2. Honestly, there’s chats all over about poor service, cut backs, etc etc. the reality is, cruise companies are trying to recover from the long shut down and the loss of revenue. All cruise lines were hurt, maybe some more than others, but they all are hurting. We just cruised in January on Carnival. There’s been tons of complaints, and service isn’t the same as before the pandemic but I wouldn’t say it’s bad. We had a fantastic time. If I listened to every complaint I’d never have gone. I’m glad we went and formed our own opinion!
  3. Ok, more Tremont questions. We’re planning on driving. Is there self parking at Tremont and how much does it cost? I saw they offered valet, which I don’t mind either. Cost for that?
  4. I was able to FaceTime but not Wi-Fi call.
  5. Megan, how was your night? Does the bar really not have a set cut off? Will you drink all the Champagne they have??
  6. Never mind. I found the offers, but I for sure don’t have that one 😞
  7. Where do I find these offers? Can I access them from the chase app?
  8. Honestly, I’m not surprised. We need a room for 4 because our twins are coming with us and too young for their own room. We’re booked on the Jubilee for 6/2024 and it’s already slim pickings. Suites look to be primarily gone and balconies aren’t far off. I feel your pain. I would really like carnival to release summer 2025 so we can throw a deposit down on one of those too.
  9. I found you!! Bon Voyage and safe travels! Don’t drink yourself completely to death, you must live to tell the tales!
  10. So we’re looking at pricing some of our future cruise expenses and I was looking at port parking in Galveston. When I went to the Port of Galveston website it is showing prices for the SMP Garage, says it’s self parking at 150 Rosenberg St. Is that the most convenient garage to where the Jubilee will be docked? We’re not necessarily wanting the cheapest parking, we really would like a secured garage.
  11. Possibly? I think it depends on your needs. But if you’re someone who’s going to be easily irritated with children then I’d say no. But it does sound nice to have the buffet with breakfast, lunch, snack, coffee and ice cream right there if that’s worth it to you!
  12. I am so jealous!! My stainless is like 10 years old and no magnets for us.
  13. What is within walking distance of the Grand Galvez? It’s kind of hard to tell on the map. Any casual dining we don’t have to get dressed up for, but can sit down and eat (not takeout)? What about the pleasure pier, can you walk from there? I really want to stay there, it’s such a gorgeous property. Any recent reviews?
  14. So we had 14410 on Mardi Gras back in January. We absolutely loved it. We got to know our next door neighbors and they came over for a tour out of curiosity. We had my husband and I and our 4 year old twins and we had plenty of space. The bathroom is small, but bigger than the balcony cabin bathrooms. It was manageable. Bathrooms aren’t a dealbreaker for me by any means. IMG_5180.MOV
  15. I’m following along and enjoying the comparisons! Thanks for the review!
  16. I think it just depends on how close your room is to the closest bar. My husband and I took turns going to pick up drinks. They had no problem with him getting a drink for each of us as long as he brought both cards. It wasn’t as inconvenient as we expected it to be.
  17. Have a great time!! I can’t wait to read more.
  18. I pay tips before the cruise because I know I’m going to pay them and I just don’t want them charged at the end. I like having everything paid for when we start our vacation.
  19. Honestly, no. What’s listed above is what you get. Carnival’s suite perks aren’t much to get excited about. And honestly the only thing I loved was the priority boarding.
