  1. So we didn’t bring our iPads because I didn’t think there would be enough that would work while not connected to the internet. Do already downloaded games work? Anyways, on our cruise this past January I just told my kids they don’t work on the ship, but I would really have liked them for the super long wait for food at the dining room. There’s only so long kids can sit still.
  2. Our first cruise was in 2010 on the Carnival Ecstasy. We originally booked an ocean view but carnival called and sold us a balcony for a small bit more and we took it!
  3. I absolutely would. My husband and I have been on a few cruises and my kids just went on their first. So we’re kind of starting over on ports and going places knowing our kids have never been. But as things become repetitive I would not even hesitate to stay on the ship. I always say I book for the ship and the ports are a bonus.
  4. Maybe they’re testing it out? I would love it to be an addition to what they offer currently. I feel like it would be easy revenue for them. They already have the venue and it’s not in use during the brunch hour.
  5. Someone else mentioned that maybe she maxed out her data. Sometimes ships limit your internet activity if you use too much data. It’s possible that’s what happened. But I follow all of her reviews and I’ve never seen her have a problem on other ships/cruise lines.
  6. Oh I’ve never heard of it. Is it free? Or an up charge for a specialty restaurant? I’d be willing to try it even for a fee!
  7. So I think we may be leaning towards staying at The Tremont. We will have our twins with us, they’ll be 5 going on 6. I saw there was a railroad museum nearby, they’d love that. Is there a good locally owned coffee shop close enough to walk to from there? What about casual dinner? Any other must see’s in the area?
  8. Well I’m SO glad to read Megan is ok!! And seriously, sounds like Celebrity needs to upgrade their internet services. That’s terrible.
  9. Absolutely hindsight. But I wouldn’t travel without an AirTag anymore. I’m so sorry this happened to you, it’s one of my biggest fears with cruising. Is there anything you can do? Honestly, aside from contacting the carnival lost and found department I don’t know? Hopefully it’s a situation of someone grabbed the wrong suitcase. But if not, it has to be there somewhere, right? Maybe it will turn up.
  10. Oh I don’t disagree with you. For instance, we weren’t thrilled with our cabin steward. We were in a suite so allegedly we have the best of the best stewards. But, we only saw him once, we had to seek him out. We were supposed to be given a choice of morning or evening service but no choice was given. He didn’t seem to have any set time to clean and often we would return to the cabin after lunch and it still wasn’t clean. I’m sure that a lot of that cutback related, more rooms, fewer stewards. But that’s where we personally noticed it and not in a good way. We still love cruising and won’t let one experience stop us, but someone else may. They can’t afford to lose customers over something like that.
  11. We don’t have any specialty dining showing yet for our June 2024 jubilee cruise either.
  12. I can completely agree with that. We’ve had an aft balcony on Princess and on the Breeze. I loved the view, but the soot was already terrible. I feel like it just comes with the territory and I don’t know if there’s much that can be done about it other than them clean the balcony daily.
  13. Honestly, there’s chats all over about poor service, cut backs, etc etc. the reality is, cruise companies are trying to recover from the long shut down and the loss of revenue. All cruise lines were hurt, maybe some more than others, but they all are hurting. We just cruised in January on Carnival. There’s been tons of complaints, and service isn’t the same as before the pandemic but I wouldn’t say it’s bad. We had a fantastic time. If I listened to every complaint I’d never have gone. I’m glad we went and formed our own opinion!
  14. Ok, more Tremont questions. We’re planning on driving. Is there self parking at Tremont and how much does it cost? I saw they offered valet, which I don’t mind either. Cost for that?
  15. I was able to FaceTime but not Wi-Fi call.
  16. Megan, how was your night? Does the bar really not have a set cut off? Will you drink all the Champagne they have??
  17. Never mind. I found the offers, but I for sure don’t have that one 😞
  18. Where do I find these offers? Can I access them from the chase app?
  19. Honestly, I’m not surprised. We need a room for 4 because our twins are coming with us and too young for their own room. We’re booked on the Jubilee for 6/2024 and it’s already slim pickings. Suites look to be primarily gone and balconies aren’t far off. I feel your pain. I would really like carnival to release summer 2025 so we can throw a deposit down on one of those too.
