  1. Honestly, you’re not alone. I just don’t love it. I want to… but it really just reminds me of undercooked brownie batter. I much prefer the soufflés!
  2. I guess what I’m asking is how far East does the train take you. I know we followed the tracks under construction out of Orlando. Does it stay on the mainland then?
  3. I was having a hard time seeing a good service map, and I know it’s not in service yet in Orlando. But, on our last cruise out of PC our driver talked to us all about the train and told us how wonderful it will be. That it’s going to connect from MCO to Miami? I remember the tracks running along the interstate on the way to the Port, so when it’s in service, will it take you all the way to Coco beach area? Like would it be reliable transportation between the airport and the port?
  4. We use our time to utilize the pools when they’re much less crowded. Also guy’s burgers line is much shorter too!
  5. I wouldn’t necessarily avoid it, but it wouldn’t be my first choice. Port days are great but they’re exhausting. So, I’d really like to have at least one sea day, especially towards the end of the cruise.
  6. I’d also love to know. We really enjoy Carnival but I’d never say never to another line. So I love reading comparisons!
  7. I’ll never turn down a good coffee! I work in healthcare and am known for having coffee with me all the time!
  8. It’s not. I started one for my sailing. Granted it’s a year off, but it’s on the jubilee so I thought there would be excitement since it’s a brand new ship. And I KNOW the sailing heavily booked…
  9. I miss the roll calls of days past as well. Ours for our last cruise just never even got going. Although we did have a good sized social media group. I feel like the pandemic influenced the demise as well!
  10. Thank you!! Those all sound like great options. And the ice cream and taffy sound like so much fun for the kids! Is that walkable? I think we’re going to drive there so if not I don’t mind driving there as long as they have parking.
  11. I think I would bring it. Usually there’s someone sitting close by that you can ask to keep an eye on your stuff if you’re only going to be gone a short while. I’d be less worried about my kindle than I would be a purse/money.
  12. So we didn’t bring our iPads because I didn’t think there would be enough that would work while not connected to the internet. Do already downloaded games work? Anyways, on our cruise this past January I just told my kids they don’t work on the ship, but I would really have liked them for the super long wait for food at the dining room. There’s only so long kids can sit still.
  13. Our first cruise was in 2010 on the Carnival Ecstasy. We originally booked an ocean view but carnival called and sold us a balcony for a small bit more and we took it!
  14. I absolutely would. My husband and I have been on a few cruises and my kids just went on their first. So we’re kind of starting over on ports and going places knowing our kids have never been. But as things become repetitive I would not even hesitate to stay on the ship. I always say I book for the ship and the ports are a bonus.
  15. Maybe they’re testing it out? I would love it to be an addition to what they offer currently. I feel like it would be easy revenue for them. They already have the venue and it’s not in use during the brunch hour.
  16. Someone else mentioned that maybe she maxed out her data. Sometimes ships limit your internet activity if you use too much data. It’s possible that’s what happened. But I follow all of her reviews and I’ve never seen her have a problem on other ships/cruise lines.
  17. Oh I’ve never heard of it. Is it free? Or an up charge for a specialty restaurant? I’d be willing to try it even for a fee!
  18. So I think we may be leaning towards staying at The Tremont. We will have our twins with us, they’ll be 5 going on 6. I saw there was a railroad museum nearby, they’d love that. Is there a good locally owned coffee shop close enough to walk to from there? What about casual dinner? Any other must see’s in the area?
  19. Well I’m SO glad to read Megan is ok!! And seriously, sounds like Celebrity needs to upgrade their internet services. That’s terrible.
  20. Absolutely hindsight. But I wouldn’t travel without an AirTag anymore. I’m so sorry this happened to you, it’s one of my biggest fears with cruising. Is there anything you can do? Honestly, aside from contacting the carnival lost and found department I don’t know? Hopefully it’s a situation of someone grabbed the wrong suitcase. But if not, it has to be there somewhere, right? Maybe it will turn up.
  21. Oh I don’t disagree with you. For instance, we weren’t thrilled with our cabin steward. We were in a suite so allegedly we have the best of the best stewards. But, we only saw him once, we had to seek him out. We were supposed to be given a choice of morning or evening service but no choice was given. He didn’t seem to have any set time to clean and often we would return to the cabin after lunch and it still wasn’t clean. I’m sure that a lot of that cutback related, more rooms, fewer stewards. But that’s where we personally noticed it and not in a good way. We still love cruising and won’t let one experience stop us, but someone else may. They can’t afford to lose customers over something like that.
  22. We don’t have any specialty dining showing yet for our June 2024 jubilee cruise either.
