A bit disappointing that the other passengers are not making the effort to dress up for your anniversary.
Some of the younger people made an effort and put their best tracksuit pants on during my cruises.
So sad, I love dressing up for dinner.
I was shocked at how bad the buffet looked and surprised at how tasty it actually was. The desserts were dreadful except when they did the italian desserts at lunch once per cruise.
Thank you. I'm an early morning person too.
I enjoy trivia, but I imagine I will be scoring low if I don't join a team.
I will share a table at dinner in the main dining room.
I have just re-booked a cruise on the Grand in January. I had cancelled it when the Coral started cruising as I couldn't wait that long for a cruise and did 4 cruises in August instead.
This time I will be going solo as my mum has Majestic booked with her friend in March /April and I can't talk my son into coming with me this time.
I have never cruised on my own and was wondering how other people cope. I am a bit worried that every time I go to the toilet some one will clear my drink away and I will lose my seat. Or going to the buffet on port days and having to get another table every time I get up for more food.
Does anyone have any tips on surviving my first solo cruise?
I had snails twice in August, no mushrooms in mine. They were served on the second formal night and I think they were much nicer than on Royal Caribbean.
Shanghai, on Legend of the seas we docked right in the centre.
Hong Kong night time sail away with the light show.
Spain, cant remember if it was Vigo or Ferrol, Think it was Ferrol. Beautiful scenery on an early morning arrival.
Yes, it was George.
There was an Australian based English comedian on the first of my four cruises. He was funny. We didn't go to his first show, but heard he was brilliant from other guests. So we went to his next show.
The Joke about the people mentioned in your first sentence (got told off for mentioning that word on another post) was funny and very off the cuff, but his other material was so old. The other comedian on the next cruise (some Greek fella off tv) did one show and was pulled from his next show and replaced with Nathan Foley doing a 3rd show due to complaints about the language. I slept thru that comedian.
I don't understand your travel agents advice. Other than its usually more expensive for flights, accommodation and cruises during December and January. The weather will better in December and January, but you will still be cold some days. I personally would rather spend more time on the south island than in Auckland.
