We booked the 14 night solar Eclipse Mexico cruise on Zaandam March 30 ,2024 , This cruise goes to ports further south than the ports that KDam is doing .It is within the 90 day opening date still for the extra OBC . We did book on Dec 20th on the ship .you might be interested in that cruise since it is a full Solar Eclipse & HAL should have experts on board for the Eclipse at sea Cliff

John your travel log is very interesting .We just left Kdam Dec 22nd after 12 days . We did book the March 30 ,2024 .14 night solar cruise to the Mexican Riviera with many more ports south of Puerto Vallarta while we were on board Dec 20th .This cruise is on Zaadam. Glad that your foot has been healing & so sorry that some one knocked you down & not sorry . Most people we meet are very nice & kind . How was your big Meet & Greet ? That is what I said to check the calendar & never again book during school breaks . We both had the experience once & that is enough 😁

Wow we did not think that the ship would have many children but how wrong we could be , On our 2 cruises there had to be close to 500 children on each cruise .not that they were unruly but ,not a common occurance on a HAL ship What was some what bothersome for many was the long back up lines for the main fining room for breakfast & dinners .We had any time dining ,so no problem getting seated . One night we waited 2 hours to finish dinner & that is even asking for help .We noticed 2 higher up officers watching the movements on the dining room .There were obvious problems We learned that on our next Koningsdam cruise ..it is Hawaii 18 nights we upgraded to Club Orange 😄to miss the main dining room problems should they reoccur Our B2B cruises were wonderful as always with HAL ,We enjoyed music walk a lot ,went onlt twice to the main theatre on 12 days at sea . Once was the history of HSAL which was very interesting & very well done & the other we watched the Mareachi players , singers & dancers .All very well done Our Dun Slot Pull was a success in that we all more than doubled our money😁

We are leaving Dec 10th on Koningsdam . I want to port shop not go onto the cities . Do you ever see high quality cotton Mens & Ladies T shirts in these port facilities & have you purchased any . If so do you remember the vendor location or name . We are very familiar with these ports .not getting off the ship n Cabo or PV . TIA

Very interesting cruise . We have seen 95% of i those areas over 5 Alaska trips .For the 2024 looking more towards a Spring TA with B2B2B cruises .We will have some idea hoping June 20th while on Kongingsdam to book then .,if possible

My question is can the bus carry the scooter not just me .Or in other words I need the scooter on the vehicle .If not we will get a limo

Think we have a solution .If like 2023 Nieu Statendam does the TA in April to Barcelona ,then stay on the ship to Rome & do a 3rd leg back to Barcelona .in other words B2B2B cruises & wind up in Barcelona in May which is better weather & do tours in Barcelona , Viator has a 3 country tour from Barcelona as well . Seems to me that prices for hotels ,food ie are much less expensive in this area of Europe than say Italy or Paris .We could easily spend up to 10 days just in this area & then fly back from BCN yo LAX non stop business class . On Barcelona we can use the HOHO bus & limo services to get around better with my electric scooter Any comments from those who have in depth knowledge of Barcelona getting around with a electric scooter ? Can we load it on the HOHO bus or do we need a limo service etc ?

Actually Portugal is closer to Madrid Spain while southern France is closer to Barcelona Spain . Decisions decisions .Would love to visit Lisbon & that may be the better choice than southern France

That is great because we do want to see Madrid when we get to Barcelona on a spring TA hopefully a HAL ship like Nieu Sratendam which is doing it 2023 .We want 2024 Spring .Have lots of Hotel points with Hilton & Marriott we can use as well as time share swaps ,so the housing is easy to arrange in all areas . I think a week in each city is adequate ,We also like to spend a bit of time in France while we are there .so a total of about 3 weeks on land trips .would need to do research for HOHO buses , Viator.com tours are always pretty good quality tours for land trips that picj up from hotels .

Now that would be a picture to take LOL
