  1. I remembered taking a train but I sure didn't remember which one, LOL. I was pretty tired and cranky once I got to JFK as opposed to EWR and it had been a long travel day! Now I'll know what to look for if it happens again. LOL
  2. It's all good. I came close to moving up in 22 but missed it by a little bit. I'm happy where I am LOL but if anyone wants to promote me 😄 😄 😄 I'll pay for what I want, bring candy and maybe Sbux cards for the crew because they REALLLLLY love presents and I like making people smile and sometimes I even treat the lounge, gate, check in and TSA people to some candy too. Funny story, TSA snagged me at EWR for 2 giant bags of candy and a bag of baby hand sanitizers that I was giving to the crew (in the middle of the pandemic when we were finally allowed out). They let me go (I told them what it was before they opened the bag and they said WOW you're exactly right, no worries) and I told the the agent that next time I'd bring them candy. I did, he was there that day and they were so excited.
  3. Call Royal and/or your TA if applicable. You must fly out the same day if you book the shuttle to the airport (OR give them fake flight info that makes it look that way.) There is also one to Venice City Center (the Tronchetto bus stop from which you can get to the train station). That's the one I booked for after the cruise. (Actually for before as well)
  4. Some carriers charge for ALL seats, except in Biz/First and/or if you have high enough FF status. WFBF can be changed to WAGSBAGS -- Want a good seat, buy a good seat. I can get free economy plus seating at check in on UA due to my super fabulous Premier Silver status. (tongue in cheek people. Sarcasm font on) (For those occasions when I can't afford PE or First). Do you really think I'm going to wait until 24 hours ahead. Not a chance in hell. Sure it's more money but the older I get the less tolerance I have for being miserable to save money. I'll cut back on eating out or expensive coffees in favor of being comfy on a plane.
  5. When BA rerouted me to JFK instead of EWR, I booked myself at the fairly new (I stayed in May 2022) SpringHill Suites JFK. It was fine for a night like you need and the area was not terribly yucky. (I didn't go out of the hotel until the next day.) Marriott has opened a couple brand new properties near JFK and they might work for you too. Again, I wouldn't choose to be there but I felt safe at the SHS and I was able to get some food from the little market (my dinner was mac n cheese, lol). I arrived around 9-10 PM and was exhausted. Their breakfast in the AM was your basic free, limited service hotel fare, but I had no complaints. They have a shuttle but I think you have to take the air train to get to the shuttle pick up https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/nycqs-springhill-suites-new-york-jfk-airport-jamaica/overview/
  6. +1! Loved it, great staff, quiet but charming. And they serve a prix fixe dinner nightly or almost and it's awesome!
  7. When do you fly?? Is this cruise air or booked directly with the carrier? Have the tickets actually been issued? You should be able to find it on ITA's website. If you fly in late March, it's possible the tickets were not issued, which from the screenshot you sent, sort of seems to be what's happening. Just a thought though.
  8. OOPS, never mind. I have the 9AM pick up to the ship from Venice City Center.
  9. NCL's air is a disaster no matter how you look at it. Even people traveling together but in different cabins aren't guaranteed to be on the same flights. If you're willing to lose the money, I'd book my own air on flights that you're comfortable with and you'll KNOW what you get. Other cruise lines' air programs allow you to choose your flights and travel dates, sometimes for no extra charge other than the airfare. It's always Caveat Emptor but in the case of NCL's air, it's a no from me.
  10. They'll book legal connections which may not make sense. As FlyerTalker said, the inventory they have access to is not large. But, I'm guessing that your sailing is this summer and probably has NOT yet hit final payment so you SHOULD be able to change it, IF they still have seats. My sailing's final is in February but I paid it off early and asked for early ticketing. At one point, my exact flights had disappeared off the FBC site, now they're back, at a higher cost-at least my carriers haven't cancelled my flights. Fingers crossed, good airline karma please and bows to the spirits in the sky that control this stuff! Good luck. The kind folks on this board who answer the vast majority of the cruise air questions have WAY more knowledge than I do BUT over the years I've leaned (I hope) a lot from them. I've had good luck with flights in my life and the issue I had last summer could have happened regardless of what kind of ticket I had. I AM glad that I'd booked early, PLUS a few days ahead on a route that had options and I was glad that SAS fixed it. (And when my BA flight home had a bird strike, they rebooked me while in flight, albeit to another NYC area airport without asking if it was ok but that's another story, and they did reimburse me for my out of pocket expenses and drove me from JFK to EWR the next day.) Hopefully I have better luck this time.
  11. Some do, some don't, some will not. Air doesn't generally pay commission anymore so many agents won't book it since they don't make money unless they charge a fee.
  12. OP if you haven't paid for the tickets yet, call Flights by X back and change them. Or push back with them a bit. I've booked with them a few times and I know what I'm buying. I choose to save money and afford a business class ticket. Last summer SAS cancelled my flight about 8 hours before and about 2 hours before my car service was due to arrive. I'll admit, FBC was not helpful (I'd still be on hold). I called SAS on one line and FBC on the other. SAS had already rebooked me on another carrier, nonstop to FCO, in Polaris that departed 15 minutes later. (The SAS rep said 'oh Mrs, you are all set with one small problem, you leave 15 minutes later but arrive 3 hours earlier. LOL like that's a problem!) So try again with FBC.
  13. I was able to do some things on the carriers' sites before paying. Now that they're paid off and ticketed, I can do more (I was able to pick a seat initially but couldn't change it until it was paid and ticketed.) It's annoying that, if you want to change your air before final with X/Royal, you have to call them. Suffice it to say, I had them remove my air so that I could change it probably 12 times for my cruise in May. (Price kept getting better for Biz, and they couldn't reprice it but if I started over, I could get the better price. Ah, technology!)
  14. Also it is much too early to get fares for June 2024. They generally will not be open to book until about 330 days out. Check "multi city" pricing (open jaw but most sites list it as Multi City) and go CLT-BCN and then FCO-CLT rather than 2 one ways.
  15. You aren't able to manage your flight after booking, paid or not, on X/Royal's site. You can see the info (if it's booked, which yours is not apparently) but after you "book" the air, you have to call to manage it. Pain in the ass but it is what it is. Did you file a dispute with your credit card??
  16. I had Royal (I HAVE used Princess/Cunard in the past though) ticket them early this week and while I was told 48 hours, I had one actual ticket number in maybe 2 hours and the other less than 24 hours later. (Had to poke around a bit to find them). Sounds like maybe EZ air is busy though when I early ticketed mine, it didn't take them long, I want to day about a day but it was a couple years ago.
  17. When do you fly? It may not have been ticketed just yet. Usually it gets ticketed around 45 days ahead. You can call and ask for early ticketing and then you should be able to choose seats. YMMV as sometimes you can't. I've booked EZ Air a couple times and have been able to select seats, either on the carriers' website or by calling in.
  18. Sounds like the CC company, X and the OP need to do a three way call or something.
  19. I do not remember seeing one last time I was there a few months ago.
  20. King Limo or maybe Zark though I take them from Central NJ about 45 minutes from Philly. King has a base in King of Prussia.
  21. And knowing when would help. Rates can be sky high or not, and there isn't necessarily rhyme nor reason to these fluctuations.
  22. There aren't any but call since if you have Captains Club status, the price may be lower.
  23. You can't anymore. It must be called in, sorry. Plus if you're a Captain's Club member, you MAY (depending on level) get a better discount. In the past, maybe just over 3-6 months ago, you did have the option. I called the other day and wasn't on hold that long. 800-722-5491 was the number given to me by the agent after I spent an hour being on hold and passed around 4 times, including once to Royal. Oops.
  24. It's not there anymore. (I know what you're talking about-it was like a little structure to the left of the doors to enter, sort of in front of the exit. It was there shortly after the new terminal opened and it went away a year or so later I think....)
