It’s Australian law that all costs are included in the price presented and has been that way always. So makes no difference to us.

I'd expect many Aussie cruisers are already booked on Australia Port cruises only in 2025 which is after the expiry date.

I cannot imagine the Govt not renewing this. The TA's will be lobbying furiously.

Not considering but have done so, multiple times. We sail for itinerary. We have had two fabulous Viking cruises since the last celebrity cruise. We have completed 3 celebrity cruises and have one booked another celebrity next year. Also another Viking one. There's no such thing as loyalty that's worth it so go for the experience you want at that time.

It does create some angst on a transit stop if one of the tags doesn't update as fast as the others and doesn't update before you reboard. Then you spend the next sector worrying about it.

The changed bit being that TENDERS might now go to the jetty. Not the whole great ship. 😉 Everyone else got it.

Yes. That’s exactly what I said. I never mentioned ships docking. But was discussing tender operations. There’s no room for large ships to berth anywhere. The ferries operate differently.

When we went to Santorini the tenders went to the main tourist area drop off and not near the ferry launch site. Maybe that's changed.

I don’t think I’d ever give a 10. 10 implies there is absolutely nothing left to improve. And that is never the case.

I've been thinking we might revisit Alaska on Celebrity. We have done an 11 night cruise on Viking to Alaska one way Vancouver to Seward and it was wonderful. But honestly, the Alaska itinerary for Alaska is not at all appealing.

I remember on our Alaska trip that people paid considerable sums to go on a Bear watching excursion. They didn't see any. They returned to the car park near the ship - got off the bus, and then saw several bears. It's so random. The menu at Luminae concerns me. I'm thinking of switching back to Aqua and Blu which we love.

There is no app. It's already in the Apple Wallet as a travel card. Then you top up with Apple Pay. You can add either Pasmo or Suica. Visa card is sometimes an issue but Amex works just fine. Every person needs their own travel Suica from the wallet on their phone.

Clear your cookies. Happens to me after a few times of successful log in on both chrome and safari on iPad. Fixes the issue for a few log ins, then it doesn't. Rinse and repeat.

It only happens when you’ve logged in a few times. Then it kicks in. Clear cache and it’s ok. Log in for several days and it’s back again. my iPad is always up to date.

For me it would spoil the last day stressing about it. Assuming you disembark at 7.30, get through queue to immigration, wait in queue for taxi, (let's say an hour) drive to Haneda (40 minutes) and then check 2 hours? in advance then it won't work.

If you'd actually read of peoples situations in Vanuatu right now, it's not paradise and most Aussies are still stuck there with no assistance from Australia. The couple we know, one has to line up at 7am everyday to join the queue when the bakery opens to get their rationed two baguettes and if lucky a pastry while the wife lines up at the supermarket for very basic and rationed food stuff. They don't have access to cooking facilities. Their hotel has pretty much run out of food. The hotel staff can't come in and out anymore but there are some who are stuck there and can't leave. So there's no linen service, Food service etc etc. They are also curfew room bound from 6pm until sunrise. They don't know when they can return to get back to work. This is not paradise.

Disembarkation day is loathsome! I take it that Suite guests can wait in the retreat and leave when they like? We depart the same night but think we will book a day room at the airport and leave from ship around 8.30am. Currently Celebrity aren't offering transfers. Enjoy Yokohama.

There used to be another line called Viking something but Viking Cruises are white. We've been on three now. They are excellent. But expensive.

I can see myself reading this thread many times over in the next few months and Thankyou to everyone who has contributed to it. Our first experience in Aqua Sky suite but have been in Aqua and regular balcony. Just wondering if kettles are provided in the sky rooms. Also curious to see how celebrity merges the Aqua experience with sky suites.
