  1. Elite Beverage Package has unlimited non alcoholic and 15 alcoholic drinks per day per the HAL website right now! Cruise Drink & Beverage Packages (hollandamerica.com)
  2. I really don't want to carry around the cup with a chip in it that is required for the Freestyle Machines. I just get whatever sugar free sodas the bars have. ~Nancy
  3. On the January 2024 menu listed on Roger Jett's website in post #5 the Barramundi and Yuzu Cheesecake are still listed. Is there a more recent version than that? ~Nancy
  4. When I Googled the conversion just now 21000 cfp = $187.74 I would pay them in cfp rather than USD and save $22.26. ~Nancy
  5. I'm happy to hear about how HAL is trying out new things to improve the experience. I realize that you are on a Grand Voyage, but I'm hoping that the successful programs/food items will be integrated into the "regular" itineraries. Thanks Rich! ~Nancy
  6. @CCNDSUN6 Consider that the unlimited is for everyone in your cabin. 2-3-4 people? I'm usually solo so by the bag worked for me.....about one bag a week....but for more people unlimited becomes more attractive especially with winter clothing. ~Nancy
  7. OK, why in the world would they want people to video tape the survey responses? I can't even guess why? Anyone know? ~Nancy P.S.- I have taken several longer cruises and didn't get this survey.
  8. I can imagine! The weather here in the Bay Area has been wild and windy all day and south from here even more so. 😲 Wishing you smooth seas quickly and have a wonderful trip! I'll be following along with anyone on board who wishes to comment. ~Nancy
  9. You can sing along if you want to!! 😁 Dancing too! ~Nancy
  10. That is true. No karaoke on HAL. The BB King and Rolling Stone Room are great though! Some people like the Billboard Onboard too. (It's not my personal "thing" but if the entertainers are good then the room is usually full of happy cruisers!) ~Nancy
  11. I sure did! I'm so happy that you and others reported the dogs and their disruption....with picture evidence to boot! Didn't someone else on CC post that they witnessed one of the dogs pooping on the floor of the elevator lobby? What's dismaying is that after all your efforts and the promise from the ship's staff to take care of it that they appear to have again let another fake service dog onboard! 😡 ~Nancy
  12. @MaxThrusters It's so fun to hear your enthusiasm for getting back to cruising! 🙂 I suggest you join the Roll Call for your cruise so you can discuss all the information about shore excursions and the ship amenities with your fellow Konningsdam cruisers. The link is below. Have fun planning and enjoy the cruise in about a year!! ~Nancy
  13. The fake service dog thing really infuriates me! If it was barking for no reason, then it clearly isn't a trained service dog. If I had one on my cruise, I would be strongly objecting to it with the Hotel Director! ~Nancy
  14. This is a pet peeve of mine.......I can read for myself thank you! I love a good enrichment talk but please, please, narrate....don't read....the topic to us! I appreciate this "Live From" thread @0106! We CCers have been very lucky to have several people sharing their Antarctica experiences this winter! ~Nancy
  15. @Haljo1935 Thanks for posting this again. It sure is a huge improvement from the Mariner Luncheon menu on my last cruise in fall of 2022!! HUGE improvement!! I'll plan on going to it for the first time in many years on my May cruise. Can @misguy or one of the other current cruisers please post the menu if you attend? Thanks, ~Nancy
  16. The last I heard it is only one entree included the price, but you can order more than one appetizer or dessert.
  17. I do like Puerto Vallarta and can see myself spending some time there on a land trip! @WCB, Mary Ann, what is the name of the restaurant you went to? I'll seek it out next time I'm there! Thanks, ~Nancy
  18. I'm one of the passengers scheduled to embark on May 11th in Ft Lauderdale as well. It's so sad that the crazy violent people in the world are causing so much disruption to the rest who are only going about their business. I'm glad to hear that HAL has managed to rearrange the last part of the World Cruise. Hopefully those on board will enjoy the new itinerary. ~Nancy
  19. For a split-second Roy, I thought you posted a picture of Stonehenge at sunrise!! 😁 ~Nancy
  20. The best place to ask about hotels in a particular city is at the "Ports of Call" forum here on Cruise Critic. You will get many more responses from all cruisers, not just HAL. Here is the link for the Western Europe forum for Amsterdam or Rotterdam. British Isles/Western Europe - Cruise Critic Community Have a great trip!
  21. I would pick 5096, for Norway especially. That veranda will protect from wind and rain as @dogo88mentioned. The extra square footage in 6152 isn't as usable space as the larger 5096 veranda will be. Also, it looks like the room is darker and you can't see the views out the window very well when sitting inside the cabin which @Lauren and John mentioned. Please let us know what you decide and have a wonderful trip to Norway! ~Nancy
