If they make exception to this they better be prepared for an onslaught of people wanting exceptions and refunds when they have no travel insurance at all.
a bad policy is no better than no policy so let’s give everyone the benefit of the doubt and cover them in all circumstances
It is a poor policy, sorry but that’s a fact. This can not be the problem of Royal Caribbean.
If a UK policy won’t cover a destination like Labadee it’s a wonder UK travelers can ever have travel insurance. There is, at any given time, a half dozen or so islands in the Caribbean on some sort of watch list.
I thought I had read somewhere that when the new dock was built, the ability to tender was eliminated. Don’t ask me where I read it or if I am even remembering correctly.

I am not opting out of PAYING anyone. I am opting out of providing a pre set gratuity before I have received services.
Don’t sign a contract if you aren’t happy with the terms.
Exactly right, Royal can run their operations any way they wish. Their procedures permit me to remove my automatic gratuity; o am simply respecting their business model
