If they make exception to this they better be prepared for an onslaught of people wanting exceptions and refunds when they have no travel insurance at all. a bad policy is no better than no policy so let’s give everyone the benefit of the doubt and cover them in all circumstances

It is a poor policy, sorry but that’s a fact. This can not be the problem of Royal Caribbean. If a UK policy won’t cover a destination like Labadee it’s a wonder UK travelers can ever have travel insurance. There is, at any given time, a half dozen or so islands in the Caribbean on some sort of watch list.

A passenger’s poor travel insurance policy is not a reason for Royal to grant exceptions to their rules.

Exactly right, Royal can run their operations any way they wish. Their procedures permit me to remove my automatic gratuity; o am simply respecting their business model
