    What you are missing is; corkage fee is so rarely charged it’s an anomaly. 300 plus nights onboard with Royal and an untold number of wine bottles consumed and have NEVER been charged corkage. Also, that $5-$6 bottle would cost them $50-$60 if purchased onboard

    Royal does not pass through the local (USA) sales tax if you have the drink package. If you are purchasing drinks individually they do.

    Be aware, if you order your drink in a souvenir take-home cup or served in a coconut shell or hollowed out pineapple those particular drinks will not be covered by your package

    Your child should have their own Crown And Anchor number that was assigned after their first cruise. Call the Crown And Anchor loyalty department, to retrieve the number. If his account number has not already been created, have them set up an account and be sure that they credit the previously taken cruise.

    In the United States it varies from policy to policy. My annual policy specifically outlines no change in coverage regardless of any travel advisory in place. I think it’s wrong to restrict anyone’s choice of travel destination, and their ability to protect themselves while doing so.

    No, I know no way around that. Actually, I didn’t think you could use a gift card at all on a CP purchase. Full disclosure, I (and many others) are anti gift card. Royal just makes it so difficult to use them.

    Yes just go to your cruise planner, cancel the one device plan you purchased and purchase a 2 device package.

    I wouldn’t accept a balcony beneath the pool decks; the late night, early morning noise of deck chairs being slid around and decks power washed is very disruptive.

    Most of the time, if you have the package, they will not give you a can, only fountain. Cans are for cash pay only.

    You and I missed each other by a few weeks on Allure I believe, last year, now this year I am on Odyssey a couple weeks after you again.

    Sorry to say, you are most likely out the money. They absolutely will not transfer funds forward to another booking; and as you said, you are well within the cancellation penalty window.
