  1. Because CBP says they are.....................period
  2. SEC filings do not support your statement, and annual trends are showing an upward trajectory of profit per guest, even when the numbers are normalized for Covid related variances.
  3. If you fill the berths, the rest of the revenue will take care of itself
  4. I think you have tremendously under estimated how this demographic spends their money and uses credit. This ship will sail at 100%+ for years, no problems
  5. However, you knew it was YOUR responsibility to read the “ledger”, and abide by the guidelines within. If you chose not to read the PDF version, did your employer extend the deadlines for you? Were you excused from a violation of a new policy because you didn’t read it? The argument is just nonsense. Personal responsibility is rapidly disappearing in this country, and many on this thread are defending it.
  6. A sign would be of absolutely ZERO benefit. There are multiple nationalities on board with multiple reporting standards and expectations. This is VERY simply a matter of personal responsibility. With respect to your lawsuit comment, i think one would be hard pressed to find a successful one that fits the bill here.
  7. Thanks @Biker19 i had not known about the April '23 policy, I should retract my statement There have ben several posts lately however intimating that passengers testing positive were kinda out of luck, could have been overly dramatic posts however.
  8. Buying on the island makes it very easy to avoid the purchase being reported, and avoid the declaration.
  9. Only purchases over a value surpassed by federal guidelines are reported.
  10. You can no longer make a Covid claim with Royal if you can’t board. That's between you and your insurance company.
  11. It wasn’t obvious at all that you were in the area. How long were you in the hot tub?
  12. Is it really underhanded? Shouldn’t it be the responsibility of the purchaser to know the rules of their country? Every different nationality on the ship has different rules when it comes to taxes and their reporting. Should the retail staff on board be fluent in all of them?
  13. Nothing new here, large purchases have ALWAYS been reported to CBP, it’s a federal law. I truly question the over dramatization of the above narrative.
  14. Taken the value of the dollar into consideration, cruising today is MUCH more economical than it was “back in the day”
  15. That have been carrying this passenger loads for a decade. I think they have the evacuation figured out.
  16. Yet it will sail at 110% capacity for a minimum of 36 months straight
  17. Always have the coffee maker taken away, really like the walk in closet
  18. You know you are sailing from Galveston when there is Dr Pepper available at every bar on board.
