  1. Yes true, however I have also seen 7 days with 2 in Cabo plus PV
  2. Also remember you can bring on a couple of bottles. We usually get the package too but this time since we had drinks in the casino we didnt ( we would often grab a glass of wine in the casino to bring to dinner)
  3. Personally I wouldn't choose that one because I find 1 day in Cabo more than enough and I prefer PV and Mazatlan. But others feel the opposite
  4. Me too! I am a total lurker and not poster but really was enjoying this review...esp all the amazing food!!
  5. Ahh then I apologize..I took it as questioning her. Nice that you support these organizations!
  6. Yes that's true now. This was before the "free at sea" became a thing and so we didnt buy the package
  7. Data is unlimited on the onboard plans We also get free wifi in Mexican ports.I guess it depends what you use it for..if you want to make a lot of phone calls maybe the ATT plan? But the data restrictions would not make it worthwhile to me so we go with the onboard plan
  8. I dont think Susans comment was rude. It seems like Elaine was questioning whether the dog was "official"...the OP said he was and that everything was already arranged. I understand there are people that try to bypass the rules, but why assume the OP is? She just doesn't want the share her grand daughters need for a service dog, nor should she have to
  9. The Splendor had aft adult only pools/hot tubs..it was nice

  11. No, Carnival is one per person. I think NCL does that..the one time we said NCL we brought a few bottles and were prepared to pay a corkage fee..they had a table set up near embarkation but we were confused, walked on by with all the wine and never paid the fee ..shhh dont tell! ( It was a few years ago)
  12. On the Panorama you don't get a ticket or a specific time..it just says meet at guest series and there will be someone to escort you down. At least thats for Platinum..perhaps FTTF is different.
  13. I am not sure what Mexican protocols are but for us we always tip restaurant servers/bartenders, driver and tour guides , not street vendors..tequila tasting I feel like they are just trying to sell you bottles so no tipping but then I feel guilty if I don't buy anything..Ultimately I figure, if we can afford it, a few dollars tips would mean more to them than the loss to me
  14. We get it every cruise..you do NOT have to drink it in dining room only unless something has changed. The give you vouchers and you can get a bottle at any bar to bring to cabin, or give to wait staff if you want it in the dining room.
  15. They asked "Is it worth it"? Obviously I can only give my opinion that it wouldn't be worth it to me..if someone asks a question like that I assume they want an answer that is subjective..since how can I know if it is worth it for them?? And my name isn't Bub
  16. Not worth it for that price...We are platinum now but havent noticed a huge difference waiting in "special " line at guest services. Tender ports not a biggie and we are usually not in a hurry. Luggage is not delivered any earlier...its a crap shoot.
  17. I think part of it is that people are reading " real" books less often..using tablets instead. we were just on the Panorama and the library was being used for the dumb art auction most of the time.
  18. I have no experience with this but my thought is that if you are sensitive enough to worry about cross contamination, you would be better off eating on the ship.
  19. I didn't notice the tables being that close together. Maybe because we usually ended up eating kind of late but honestly the dining room seems fairly empty every time.
  20. Years ago before I had a passport I cruised using what I thought was my birth certificate ( It says "Birth Certificate" at the top. It was only when I applied for a passport did I realize it wasnt a real one, it was the one issued at the hospital ( the raised seal was just the name of the hospital) So..maybe we just got lucky that the person checking didn't look that carefully? But I used it for a few cruises..
  21. oops it was actually the week after you, the 18th we were there. No fog that day!
  22. and as of 4/12 the same 🙂 ...the walk seemed shorter than usual. Maybe because it wasnt stinking hot like it can be
  23. we get the cruise the vineyards package every time. They give you vouchers to use..you can use the vouchers to pick up an unopened bottle of wine at any bar to take back to cabin, or you can give to dining room staff to get for you. We always just get the bottle , take back to cabin and either drink it there or take glasses of wine up to dinner
