  1. I strongly advise against driving in the evening in Bermuda with one of the mini EV's. (they are not cars) The road from Hamilton to the Dockyard in the dark, don't do that. Take the ferry to Harbour Nights and back. As far as charging stations whichever rental company will tell you their actions. The different mini EV use different charging stations. They all have some place in the Dockyard to charge overnight. For snorkeling Church Bay and Tobacco Bay.
  2. Been there many times and always had an enjoyable beach day. I definitely look forward to Labadee on Caribbean itineraries. But to each their own.
  3. Of course RCG is watching. I would guess that RCG has some kind of arrangement with the local crime bosses. RCG will suspend operations if nessecary. They have suspended calls there in the past.
  4. Here in Texas every two years they get the names from the drivers license list, the voter list and state ID list and combine them into one pool. What you were told might be true in your state but then again it probably is not. That is an old myth that the pool only comes from the voters list. The way they do it in Texas is pretty standard. Previously I lived in Maryland and they did it the same way, drivers license, voters list and state ID card.
  5. Ask your cabin attendant for a corkscrew if the bottle has a cork.
  6. My fingers slip all the time so I get typos. They do interviews at the FLL airport. An appointment is required but I have heard anecdotally that some have been able to get interviews dropping by if it was a slow day at the office where they do the interviews.
  7. I don’t know but insurance covers a lot of things. That is why it is insurance. They probably don’t have to cover jury duty very often but it could happen. Insurance also covers military duty.
  8. I buy travel insurance that covers jury duty.
  9. I always carry a spare pair of glasses. A couple of times a screw came out over the years but both times found an optical shop at the next port and they fixed it. I have one of those minature screw drivers but that only works if I can find the screw. Before any travel I try to remember to tighten the screws.
  10. My cummerbund came apart and I mentioned it to my cabin attendant. He found a crew member who sewed it up. So think you can always find someone on a ship to do repairs if you inquire.
  11. I would guess the reaction would be similar as in your local community. You are sailing out of very conservative state with traditional religious communities so there is that. I doubt that adults will say anything in front of your son, only behind his back if they say anything, if they notice he is a boy, not a girl but with kids there are always going to be some bullies. I would think you would want to have a discussion with the RCL kids club staff and give them a heads up.
  12. I have never noticed any little boys wearing a skirt but I probably would think he was a girl because sometimes it is hard to determine the sex of young children.
  13. True but Celebrity contracts the service to a company that has flight arrangements as their specialty. You are not dealing with Celebrity. When I have booked cruise air I get the record locator number. I have been able to use that info with the airline for seat changes and the like and to check on flights on the airline website. Also when booking direct with an airline can't rely on them either. I always check regularly as I have had flight times changed on me without being notified. If you book very far out can pretty much expect changes.
  14. If I recall correctly we did have to swear to tell the truth but I don’t recall a bible.
  15. I consider it a civic duty but also the right to a jury of one’s peers is a democratic right we have in the USA. So to me it is also support of democracy.
  16. The courthouse FAQ mentioned free WiF. I would guess the phone would have to be off in courtrooms but not in the waiting area. The FAQ did not say no phones. It also had a dress code.
  17. You can be excused for economic reasons. Also because you are a caretaker. When I was working my employer paid me the days I was on jury duty. There was no limit. That possibly is not the case with every employer. It may depend on the state or county law. We were given a small stipend per day on the jury duties I reported to which was worded such a way it paid for lunch. If it had been pay I would have had to compensate my employer who was paying me.
  18. You can book to fly in the day before and you can book convenient and direct itineraries with the cruise line. Sometimes more convenient as you can book a different airlines for each leg.
  19. I try to avoid British Airways like the plague. I had the experience too of not being able to pick my seats until check in but luckily it actually worked out. I got the aisle seat I wanted. As far as cruise air it is not my first choice but in some instances, when flying into one city and returning from another city it has saved ne a bundle. I saved about $1000 once on a one way fare back from a transatlantic. So I usually do check on the cruise air along with direct from the airlines, airline miles, and AMEX miles or Ultimate Rewards miles.
  20. I was picked on the second time I had to go to the courthouse. It was interesting as I got to see how the justice system worked. It was a two day trial. Once was a good experience but one time was enough. Sitting around while they choose from the pool the two times, the voir dire was boring part. The second time I thought my answer would keep me off but nope, that didn't work . It was in the days before smartphones. I did have a paperback to read.
  21. To get a taxi back from Warwick you would have to be lucky. There would have to be one dropping off which is even less likely late in the afternoon. Taxis don't hang out there because there are no faciities and not many fares. I often do the beach trail but I start at Warwick and walk to Horseshoe. That way I can easily take a taxi back or one of the $7 minibuses.
  22. Well good luck on that. What is more vulger and less vulger mean? Also how do you find out who is performing? There are two comedians at each comedy club show and the shows are for adults. OP should probably skip the comedy club if they are easily offended. The headliner shows might be tamer but there might be some jokes offensive some. Audiences expect jokes.....
  23. If you mean the shows in the Comedy Club they are for adults. The later show times in the club are the same material. Not toned down. Sometimes a comedian has late late show with really explicit material. If you are offended by cussing you should skip the comedy club. Headliner comedians in other venues should be toned down as they are not adults only but YMMV.
  24. They just raised the age to be excused to 75 in Texas but as I understand it it is not automatic. You have to request to be excused and then you will automaicly be excused then and thereafter. .
