  1. Been to Greece 4 times. Never been pickpocketed once. Virtually every country on the planet has crime, including pickpocketing. It is not unique to any geographical location. That rumor was started as a way to slander the Roma. The elite in every culture looks down on the poverty stricken as being dirty and prone to stealing your things. Italy has the same myth started either by the wealthy in Italy, or by travelers themselves. No matter where you are traveling, you should only carry the cash you’re going to use and never bring credit cards you don’t need. If you carry a wallet carry it in your front pocket. If you carry a purse never put it down in crowded markets or tourist traps, always hand it to someone. And you should do that whether you are climbing the switchback at Santorini, strolling the airport in Atlanta, or attending a concert at your child’s grade school. People steal. We don’t need to make the situation worse by errantly attributing it to cultures or races.
  2. Everyone told us we’d wait for 45 mins to an hour for a gondola down. I think we waited 5. And it was 5 in the afternoon.
  3. pack some tide and find the clothes line that comes out of the retractor over the tub.
  4. Don’t bother unless you plan on gaming or streaming movies. If you have teens, you might win points with them. Otherwise if all you’re doing is checking on emails, sending texts and moving your money around 300 minutes will probably be all you need. Even if you do run over just drop a few bucks in the internet cafe and you still won’t be anywhere near what that overpriced package costs.
  5. My only xmas cruise was Brilliance of the Seas in 2010 when it felt like we might be celebrating the holidays at the bottom of the Mediterranean off the coast of Alexandria. I’ll have a chance to get back on the xmas horse this December.
  6. Ah yes. Epic. Sorry missed that. Then after reviewing some of the videos available, it appears the Epic lavatory areas are missing other things too. Like ....... walls ....... etcetera. So perhaps missing a proper plug will be the least of worries.
  7. There is usually at least one plug in the head.
  8. You’re forgetting: We have all of those things. We’ve been carrying them with us since the day we got vaccinated. We don’t have to be anxious about having a fall sniffle at embarkation and being denied boarding. We have no issues.
  9. First Prima. Then over Autumn ship by ship. https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/28133-coca-cola-products-debut-on-norwegian-prima.html
  10. This is not correct information. If you are flying, you are required to fill in your name as it appears on your passport. If you used your middle name on your passport, you should give that information to NCL. If you embark from Southampton and you live in London, then you're probably fine. Why is this so hard? Look at your confirmation form. It will contain this information: "...TSA Requirements: TSA requirements mandate that for all guests who have purchased air, Norwegian Cruise Line must provide TSA with Full Name (as it appears on your passport) that includes middle name if applicable, Date of Birth and Gender. Without this information you can be denied boarding the aircraft..."
  11. Thank you. For repeating exactly what I said.
  12. Everyone is going to tell to you to just call. You won’t know until someone has a looksie and refers it for a Future Cruise Credit.
  13. Be aware that by asking for a flight itinerary “the day before” you may end with a flight that arrives two days before your embarkation. If that’s what you intended, carry on. But flights from the US to Europe for example already have that extra travel day figured in.
  14. I adore this. I wish I could. Unfortunately our two medication regimens take up as much space as you described! 😂
  15. My husband and I are going to try packing for one week on our up coming 2 weeker. I could cut that down to 5 days if I had access to a laundry. $30 bucks for a bag big enough to hold 3 LP record albums is ridiculous.
  16. I forgot my middle name, as it is how my name appears on my passport, and I was getting the NCL Air to Sea flight. So I called, and she stressed that it was indeed important to have it precisely as it appears on your passport if you are flying. Even if you book your own flight, the airline is likely going to ask for the same thing. But if NCL is booking a flight for you, you definitely need to make sure they have it as it appears on your passport.
  17. When I gamble I have one question: "Did I win anything on that last pull. No? Ok, goodnight."
  18. ME: So we got a room on the Prima! FRIEND: Oh! Brilliant. Did you get a room with a view AROUND THE TUBES? ME: No, they were all taken. FRIEND: Darn.
  19. Hmm! Yesterday I could fit my entire 6 digit reservation number in the field, today I can't! You're right. How strange. I wonder if this is just NCL's way of saying "ALL RIGHT, ALL RIGHT, YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT UPGRADES!! LEAVE ME ALONE FOR A MINUTE I HAVE A SPLITTING HEADACHE!"
  20. How can you call something that you can cancel anytime you want (with limits ) a “scam”? That’s just a reckless use of an epithet without any basis. You haven’t even started making payments yet and already you seem completely overwhelmed. Just cancel, back away from it for awhile, cool off, and go at it again when your thinking isn’t in such a whirlwind.
