  1. Thanks! The idea actually came to me in a dream the night before, so the next morning I went to "Sips" and asked them to save me a few cages during the day. I was surprised that it fit. "Mrs. Ed" now sits proudly on display next to 3 Voice of the Ocean trophies. lol
  2. Remember to factor in any perks you may have received from the initial booking.
  3. Early on during the cruise they have an auction. There are only 6 seahorses up for bids. You customize your horses a few days later, and they have the race a day or 2 later. We were on an 8 day sailing, so the schedule is probably tighter on shorter sailings. We had a blast, made some great friends, and the seahorse is a nice keepsake. IMG_3150.MOV IMG_3160.MOV
  4. The original price/deal we booked for our April 2024 sailing, San Juan to Lisbon is better than the current deal by several hundred $, but thanks for the heads-up. It just didn't work in our favor this time around.
  5. Sea Rovers (from status match) get an extra $100 when buying a $300 tab thru 2024. https://www.virginvoyages.com/sailing-club
  6. There's an additional soda/juice station near "Let's Taco bout it" in the Galley.
  7. The acoustics in the ship have to be the best at sea. When they have a live band playing in the "roundabout", the sound does not travel very far. Most ships are giant echo chambers with hard metal surfaces...not the case here at all.
  8. I've seen the interface the host/hostess use in the dining venues. Suite holders are clearly listed as "VIP2" and Mega Rockstars as "VIP1".....not that it matters, as your "Agent" will meet with you and arrange anything you need. You have nothing to worry about. Enjoy your cruise!
  9. The Roll Calls are other lines are still pretty active, but I think the average Virgin cruiser doesn't even know CC exists.
  10. I'm sure I don't need to tell you to check with your wife.....she may just love to see or possibly meet JLo. If you want to change, I would ask if Virgin is willing to cover any charges incurred with changing flights or hotel reservations. After all, as you claim, you had no idea this was going on and may affect your cruise experience.
  11. There's an upgrade to Moet, and a curated meal as well.
  12. Funny, the page says it can't be ordered until April 2nd.
  13. "Whatever you’re celebrating, you can now add A Splash for Your Bash package to your booking — which includes a bottomless brunch event, a revelrous dinner party with curated beverages and desserts, and your complimentary bubbly will be upgraded to Moët & Chandon. Available to purchase now for voyages after April 2nd, they’re worth $325, but for a limited time, you can lock it in for $250 per cabin." https://www.virginvoyages.com/l/celebration-cruises
  14. We recently disembarked from our 3rd sailing with VV, and absolutely love the experience. We don't foresee going back to Princess for a very long time, if at all. There is so much we don't miss, and I see the complaints on the Princess board keep rolling in. Glad to see you'll be giving Virgin a try.
  15. I haven't called, neither has my TA, yet in the past week I've received two surveys identical to the one I posted above for calls I never made. This happened twice before last Fall.
  16. This has happened to me 3 or 4 times now. Has me wondering if a dishonest rep is logging non-existent calls to make it look like they are working, or if their system is just a total mess.
  17. On our sailing on the Valiant a few weeks ago, there was a full-size wrapped bar of Ivory Soap by the sink instead of the small bars of black soap we had on previous sailings.
  18. The great thing about Virgin is you get to do you....nobody will judge. Enjoy your cruise!
  19. Ship: Valiant Lady Cabin#: 9022A Deck #: 9 Cabin Category: Sea Terrace Sleeps: 2 Cabin Location: Port, Aft Terrace/Window/Obstruction: None Noise Issues?: You can sometimes hear music from the Wake while on the terrace, but that's a good thing Wind Issues?: No Connecting Cabin?: No Hammock: Yes Metal/Glass Terrace: Glass Advantages/Problems: Close to aft staircase, easy access to deck 7 Would You Book Again?: Yes Comments: This was a replacement for our cabin of choice on deck 8 which was being being "refreshed".
  20. I think the best steak is the ribeye from Pink Agave.
  21. We tried to get a few desserts "to go" from the Wake one night. It's the only time someone said "no".
  22. Good deals can sometimes be found on Hotwire for Novotel Brickell. We've stayed there twice and loved it. Brickell is very walkable, and the free People Mover can get you to Bayside Market, City Center, etc. A/K/A Brickell is OK......weird set-up since it's also condos.
  23. I think the other two adjectives I used give you an idea of what I meant.
  24. The whole state used to have one area code: 305 Then came 407 and a bunch more. The demand for new numbers started in the 70s/80s due to pagers. In the 90s, computer modems, and cell phones sent the demand for new numbers skyrocketing. Florida currently has 20 area codes,
