  1. Long pants and a shirt with buttons is pretty much average
  2. If you cancel before final payment you should only lose deposits
  3. We find that the queen set up gives more room on the cabin because who needs the area between the beds
  4. I had found a b2b on essentially the same route as one I had paid for and the price was so much less and had more days that the $400 hit was worth it
  5. I have always had to pay the total when I book. Note I pay to upgrade to full suites. If you cancel you will lose the deposit. After full payment is made standard cancellation rules apply and show on your booking
  6. On casino comp cabin deals you pay $200 pp deposit which converts to OBC. If you cancel you will lose the deposit. It is sometimes a benefiting better deals come along that you want
  7. Had the same situation last cruise Medallion showed elite. If the personalizer is correct there won’t be any problem
  8. No Ruby 4/14. Much prefer the Grand class to Royal
  9. We were on the Crown last month on Aloha deck and yes the stabilizers do make noise especially at high speed or during weather and seas. Just part of cruising did not affect our cruise
  10. We are still getting free balcony offers and have 7 booked through 2025. Our free play however which used to be $600 to $1,000 per person and those are now $250 to $400. We sail next month for 16 days most of which are at sea. We will see what offers we get
  11. We generally do around 10k to 12k in points and our bounce back is usually a free balcony and free play
  12. That’s funny we sail in Penthouse suites and a 16 cruise costs us around $4,500 pp with the package.
  13. Well you are still waiting eating princess pastries and coffee while I am dining at 4 star restaurants. Last month in SF I disembarked at 8:30 and the were already lined up down to the Embarcadero Besides I will be on board for 2-3 week plenty of time to meet others
  14. our ritual is to eat lunch on land to avoid the early crowds and go to the terminal around 2:00 when we can just waltz on the ship
  15. I was just on the Crown last month and had no complaints about the bed I slept like a baby
  16. And playing black jack and eating in the MDR. It was on the older Sun Princess and windows were knocked out in passenger cabins. Quite the experience. Some people actually left the ship in Acapulco and this was a canal trip to Lauderdale
  17. It depends on what you think is a lot. 3 drink a day plus sodas and coffee drinks and you are ahead of the game
  18. Always do but you can have the waterfall. You couldn’t pay me to drink that swill. LOL
  19. Heck I went through a cruise right after 9/11 where we sailed through a full hurricane with 40 foot waves and an FBI search with dogs where we were pulled off the ship in our swimsuits for 2 hours. No complaining and this was before drink packages you should have seen my bar bill but complaints no
  20. So I don’t use room service so I want something else to make up for it like an extra specialty dinner or a 3rd mini bar. Maybe they need to have a menu for suites so you can say trade laundry services for unlimited casual meals
  21. Some people are always looking for something for nothing. It’s like the people who visit New Orleans around Mardi Gras and complain because it was noisy and they couldn’t sleep.
  22. The US customs takes almost no time at all. Basically you are scanning your passport and looking at a screen. There are usually at least a dozen or more stations there
  23. We were on a full ship sailing on the Crown that was a VIP cruise and some evenings there were times when it was nearly impossible to get a seat at a table or a machine
  24. If they should get that why shouldn’t they get free casual meals or exercise classes or desserts or a number of other things that are only included if you get a package
  25. I occasionally are on 7 day cruises as part of a b2b and still believe it is worth it but each to their own. Most of our cruises are 14+ days. The point of this thread however is that people in suites should get free room service and free OceanNow while admitting that that is not part of suite perks
