  1. I will guarantee you that it will not be in the dining room used for reserve class
  2. All I know is that lately the casinos have been more crowded than in the past
  3. Another good reason to go with the plus package. We would never sail without it
  4. Casino cruises have needed full payment on booking for a long time
  5. I would not make assumptions that arrangements have been made to leave the ship early without some paperwork in hand. Could wake up to a big surprise or have to change plans on the fly if ports are skipped due to weather, strikes or something else
  6. If you are elite you will also get a 2nd mini bar on the 2nd leg
  7. Or there may not be any immigration officers available
  8. We are still getting free balcony offers but since we have 7 cruises booked through 2025 we haven’t used one for awhile and we always bump them up to full suites. What we have noticed is the free play that we used to get $600 each we now are getting $250 to $400
  9. I am always surprised that someone will pay thousands for a cruise and then complain about a few dollars to wash clothes.
  10. On the Crown they opened Vines at 11:30 on sea days. That was the only one Salty Dog Gastropub was only open at night
  11. Be sure and get permission from Princess to leave the cruise early. It is not always possible at every port
  12. Go to the venues themselves as I said we have always been able to get in. It helps to get to know the managers. And we have no issue with late dining even at home we rarely eat before 8:00
  13. Nothing counts against the 15 unless it contains alcohol. We insist that they split every order We have had times when one of us has gone over 15 late evening and we are often in different areas of the casino then which causes an issue
  14. Yep. Sailing on the 14th. It will be our 7th Hawaii cruise. My mother was born and raised on Maui so it will be great to finally get back to that island. We were not able to go there last year
  15. Need my sports scores etc. It’s not just US news but the world news in the age we live in. We will be on the Grand during the Olympics and really want to be able to keep up
  16. We will be on the Ruby next month for 16 days and will see what happens. Two different bartenders on the Crown both encouraged sharing. We saw one group of 4 sharing one board
  17. Oh we still need the internet to keep up with what’s going on in the world
  18. On the Crown we were able to split the charcuterie platter and only use 1 casual meal. So in reality we can get 4 meals there
  19. We have never felt that the $20 per day per person is just more than we can justify especially since almost all our cruises are 2 to 3 weeks. Our regular drinks are all covered by the plus and since we mostly sail on Grand Class ships where there is only Vines and Salty Dog Gastropub (which we really do not care for. I can pay a few extra dollars when I want a glass of wine at Vines
  20. The train from Quebec to Montreal is a good option
  21. You will have to get permission from Princess to leave cruise early. There may not be immigration officers available in all ports
  22. This usually comes down to immigration policies and availability of officials
  23. Our Medicare Advantage plan has always reimbursed us once we are home. Last year they covered X-rays and treatment for broken ribs
  24. If there are 2 mains I like I will order one on each week. If it is a menu I hate just head to Vines for charcuterie
  25. We always wait till at least 12:00 to stay away from the early crush. I have seen lines out the door and down the street early in SF. Especially fun when it rains
