    Todays Email

Here is the email for those who have not received it. We hope this email finds you eagerly anticipating your upcoming cruise with us! To ensure you have a seamless and enjoyable experience, we want to provide you with some important updates and information related to booking shore excursions and using your onboard credit (OBC) to pay for shore excursions. 1. Booking Shore Excursions: Shore excursions become available to book once the first deposit on your cruise is completed. Most excursions are available six months prior to sailing. Excursions can be booked online by going to Manage My Booking, calling our contact center who will gladly assist with recommendations and booking, or contacting your Travel Advisor. Excursions may be booked up to 7 days prior to sailing. 2. Paying for Booked Shore Excursions: Payment must be completed within 72 hours of booking your shore excursions to secure your spot. If you have an Onboard Credit (OBC) and wish to use it to pay for your booked shore excursions, please give our contact center or your Travel Advisor a call for assistance. Your OBC will be available to use 24 hours after the first deposit on your cruise is completed. If you do not have an OBC, you may pay in full via credit card online. Give our contact center or your Travel Advisor a call for further assistance. 3. Shore Excursion Payment Policy (New!): Please be aware of our new payment policy - any unpaid shore excursions will be automatically canceled after 72 hours. To secure your spot, please promptly complete payment. 4. View OBC Balances Online (New!): You can now view Onboard Credit (OBC) by logging in to your web account. There, you can easily view the total and remaining balance of your OBC per cruise. If you have booked with a Travel Advisor, be sure to provide an updated email address so they can add it to your booking so you can view your upcoming cruise and OBC balances online. We hope these updates enhance your cruise planning experience. If you have any questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to our contact center or your dedicated Travel Advisor. Thank you for choosing Azamara for your upcoming adventure. We can't wait to welcome you on board! Sincerely, AZAMARA®
  2. We embarked at Monaco in April . Dropped our bags which were tagged for cabins and we were then directed through the buildings to the ship. Check in was carried out in Cabaret Lounge. We were not allowed off after this. 😢 so if you thinking of dropping bags and wandering you’ll need to buck the system, which may or may not be possible. The port area was not very pedestrian friendly where we checked in , we only saw taxis drop people off.
  3. Excellent idea. We have used this scenario in the past on Celebrity , with us in a Veranda and our son across the hall in an inside. Worked really well, he had his own space when needed but used our balcony! The difference in price between Veranda and Inside may not be so much compared to 3 in Continental Suite, with more room for everyone.
  4. As has almost everywhere sadly . I can’t remember anything less than $19.95 for full voyage daily rate for many years. Others with better memories could chime in?
  5. Website details seem to have not been updated, not sure when they changed but these were the prices two weeks ago. A one day pass used to be $29.95 but is now $36.54.

    New website.

I used my last open cruise voucher for this last cruise and was disappointed to hear on board via the Future Cruise Sales Person, that they no longer do them. 😢 poor decision in my mind. Apparently not many of us chose this option. I registered my disappointment on my end of cruise survey.
  8. Im sure they are agreed or not on a case by case scenario. If they had said no that would of been fine also, but someone who could make that decision said yes for us and we were happy. It was certainly not a decision to be made by state room attendant. We never saw the person who opened them.
  9. In our experience….Yes they can be. We had two adjoining balcony staterooms on Quest in July. We asked if the balcony dividers could be opened. This was allowed and they were opened not by the stateroom attendant but a security guy. They were opened after we docked (usually whilst we were at breakfast ) and closed before sail-away (usually whilst we were at evening meal) . They were not allowed to be open at all on the sea day.
  10. Book when onboard only . There is currently no option to do beforehand.

    Log in UK

I have access to a relatives account with no upcoming cruises. I am able to see her loyalty level and points ( sadly the points are incorrect) 🤦‍♀️ . It shows when I click on upcoming cruises, top right. So it doesnt appear to be related to whether you have a cruise booked or not.
  12. There are only 42 cruises with the double loyalty discount. Log in on the website and price a cruise through here . Your loyalty number must be up to date when you start the pretend booking to prove you are a past cruiser and eligible for the discount. You’ll have to go through to the booking stage to see the reduced price. All you will see is the price. The REGULAR that you mention has no bearing on the costing. As an example I have priced a cruise through my login details and then through a random family member with no loyalty ( takes far too long! ) .The difference in pricing is exactly the loyalty 20% discount. Which is applicable as always on the full price less the taxes.
  13. That explains alot. 😢 If its any help I called Azamara UK yesterday morning to pay for 2 excursions that I’d reserved online. Call was answered immediately in the US and I was done and dusted in under 6 minutes. It was fairly painless thank goodness. Hope you can get it sorted soon, the deals looks good.
  14. I logged into my account to get the reduced pricing details. The system picks up my loyalty number and automatically worked out the discount off the net price. Ive tried it this morning and its factoring in the discounts to the exact £. Nice reduction!

  16. Guest cabins are only decks 4, 6,7,8 and 9. There is no category 7 in oceanview, just 4,5,6 and 8. You can view all categories and locations on the website, just click on ‘Our Ships’.
  17. The link was for 2023 only. A cruise I am looking at next March does have details of excursions and prices if you have the time to fill in the details for a booking enquiry. It’s better than it was.
  18. I received an update email in June with the link attached to it , from Carol Cabezas no less ! Its been a bit quiet since.
  19. We have had the choice of 4 red and 4 white wines, plus rose and sparkling this year, on Onward and Quest. Presume its the same on the others?
  20. Whenever anyone asks about dress on here or other social media, there is always a very vocal section saying dont take a jacket , a suit , a shirt, a nice dress etc and a similar number trying to redress the balance. My husband always takes a jacket ( sometimes air con is vicious ) and a suit and wears that to the speciality restaurants . I always take nice dresses as thats what I would wear for a meal out at home. The temperature in the main dining room is constant with the air con so destination shouldn’t matter We met a lovely lady in May on Onward and she said she had packed far too casual and hadnt even put in a pair of heeled shoes and she would have if she had known . I am certainly in the camp of dress for a nice meal out and a show, but I dont dwell on what others are wearing. We wear what we like to wear and its always more dress up than dress down. I like dressing up, but I am happy that its not formal. If the dress code in the main dining room is enforced then there shouldn't be any problems.
  21. Its a leisurely 15 -20 minutes walk from Ship to the Cathedral. Its a charming little town . Not a tourist trap (at the moment, ) decent coffees along the main street under €2 pp. If you have already visited Venice, its a pleasant town for a couple of hours. The shops close for lunch at 1pm.
  22. This week it is Captain Korona Hotel Director Tomasz Jadczyk Cruise Director Stephen Millet Food & Beverage Manager Mario Kucko all being well they should all be on the next cruise.
  23. Darren Lynton Cruise Director is scheduled to be on from October and through the festive cruises. He is a great CD and very visible around the ship, day and night.
  24. Yes, on our July cruise I had pre booked an excursion with our obc, booking as advised in the email, (book it, press cancel etc etc.) When we boarded there was a letter in our cabin asking me to visit shore excursion desk as payment had not been taken . Turns out our obc had not been assigned to the cabin. Sorted that out at guest relations , all of about 5 minutes. Then the on board price was debited which was now $10 per person more than I had reserved it at. The next day we were credited with the difference of $10 pp. It all came right and they honoured the price I had previously reserved. Bit of a convoluted way of doing it all, but I think if my obc had been correctly processed it would have been straightforward and taken from the obc as they had indicated in previous emails.
