  1. I got off the Prima this past Sunday. I hated the design of the ship from stem to stern. There is not one thing the Prima does as well or better than the Breakaway/Breakaway Plus class ships. While the service and food were great all around, it did not make up for the Prima's shortcomings. Some of the issues I have with the ship are: Wait times for drinks are extremely long at most venues with the exception of the Whiskey Bar. Over the span of a 7 night cruise I gave up on getting a drink at least 6 times due to long waits. Every area of the ship with the exception of the Speedway are too small and cramped. My stateroom bathroom design was terrible. The H4 w/ Large Balcony's bathroom had no storage, and not even a shelf in the shower to store toiletries. You need to be a brain surgeon to figure out how the lights work. No plug in the bathroom for my wife's hairdryer. Aside of Epic, it was the most poorly designed stateroom I've ever been in. The ship is in a shocking state of disrepair considering it's age. Switch plates in the stateroom coming off of the wall, a leak and stained carpet in the living room for the entire cruise, glass partition panels on the pool deck near the slide loose, mini golf not working for the entire cruise, self-serve Coca Cola machine in indulge not working the entire cruise, and broken molding in hallways. I was on Sky last March, and Encore this past October. I found both ships to be in better condition than the Prima.
  2. I wore jeans everywhere including Le Bistro, Onda, and Haven Restaurant. No issues at all.
  3. A Shadowmeboy review always helps me get through my work week a little easier. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
  4. Your friends would be crazy to travel to Costa Rica, Colombia, and DR without a passport. Something happens in one of those countries and you're going to want a passport for various reasons.
  5. I’m on the ship as well and have to say it’s probable my least favorite ship in the NCL fleet (including Epic). My thoughts so far. - I agree with the OP that the service in the Haven has been great, however there are way too many Haven Suites and it lacks the “exclusive” feel of the other ships. - Getting around the ship is a disaster. There’s no easy way to get from point A to point B regardless of what deck you’re on. - Food has been good in all venues we’ve eaten in. Haven Restaurant, Le Bistro, Palomar, Indulge, Local. Although I do agree you probably want to do Indulge on a port day. - There was a code alpha on the pool deck yesterday. Kudos to the NCL Pool and Medical teams for a fast response. It looked like a man may have had a heart attack, as they had the defibrillator machine on him. Hope he’s ok, the NCL Crew response probably saved his life.
  6. Stinks that the weather is supposed to be crappy tomorrow, but I’m sure we’ll make the best of it.
  7. We'll see you on board! I'll be in the Haven as well.
  8. I've been reading on some of the FB pages that Splash Academy has been maxing out at 50 kids per age group on Prima recently. This makes me extremely nervous for my sailing next week which I'm sure will be packed with kids due to Spring Break. Has anyone experienced this lately and can offer any commentary on the Splash Academy status on Prima?
  9. I was on the Sky in an Owners Suite on a 3 night sailing out of Miami last year. You pretty much get the same treatment you would in the Haven. Breakfast and lunch will be in Cagneys, essentially the same menu as Haven ships. Haven pre-cruise Concierge is available to assist and provide the same in room amenities you'd get in a Haven suite (pillow menu, snack preferences, etc). Our cruise included 1 bottle of liquor delivered to the suite. I highly recommend you set this up with the pre-cruise concierge as I didn't and my bottle didn't come until the 2nd night. We had a wonderful time on Sky, they did a really nice job with the refurb. Happy to answer any other questions you might have.
  10. When will you be flying? If it's during hurricane season you might want to add an extra day, as flights heading west become few and far between if there's any storms in the South. I'm on the West Coast for work often, flights to LA and Las Vegas have been very challenging since the pandemic. I'd imagine getting to Seward is even more challenging.
  11. Kim! Glad to see you! When's the next cruise/review coming?!?!?!
  12. Haven is worth every penny. Go for it!
  13. Here is the most recent list I have. Updated January 2023
  14. Interesting. On the Beverage Package inclusions list updated 1/23 it clearly states it's included. Shame on NCL if they're not honoring that.
  15. Following. Just booked Yacht Club on Seascape for March 2024 earlier this evening. Have Seaside booked for August. Loyal NCL cruisers doing MSC for the first time. May have some questions for you if you don’t mind.
  16. From what I’ve read it’s only included in Haven Bar. All other bars are an upcharge.
  17. Thank You! Tell your husband to save some for me in 2 weeks!
  18. If you happen to be at the Haven Bar today can you see if they have Johnny Walker Blue Label there and confirm that it is now included with the Premium Plus package?
  19. Only applies to NCL branded merch from what I remember. Jewelry, watches, booze, etc from Duty Free are not included on any Latitudes discounts.
  20. My wife and I have skipped Cagneys on the last 3 NCL cruises we've done. It's just not as good as it used to be. We do LeBistro twice each cruise now, as it's been consistently the better option.
  21. Hi All, Would anyone know if they have Mello Yello Zero in the Coke machines on Prima?
  22. All of the NCL official theme cruises are listed on their website at the link below: https://www.ncl.com/themed-cruises Looks like the "Fetetopia Cruise" is the creation of a shady concert/club promoter in Brooklyn. Judging by their website and social media presence, it doesn't look like something legit.
