  1. Yes, Kid's Club is open the first night, typically opens at 7 or 8pm depending on the sailing and departure time. If you are making specialty reservations I would recommend making them on the later side.
  2. If you have the Premium Plus beverage package you can get Acqua Panna at any of the bars and restaurants in addition to the Flow water.
  3. Thermal Spa. Sauna --> Snow Room --> Warm plunge. You will not be disappointed.
  4. Really enjoying your review so far. I did Alaska on the Encore in early October, one of the best cruises we've ever done. Can't wait to go back.
  5. Curious which of these are available as part of the Premium Plus package.
  6. The condition of Epic is pretty shocking by NCL standards. I sailed Epic twice, once in 2011 and once in 2014. The 2014 sailing was the only time I've ever complained to NCL about anything.
  7. Go for the 2 Bedroom. You won't be disappointed.
  8. Wow! What an itinerary! My wife and I did our Honeymoon to the Canary Islands on the Jade almost 11 years ago. Thanks for bringing back some memories for us!
  9. On board Encore earlier this month, booze prices were considerably higher than on land in Florida. No deals to be had there.
  10. Gosh, what a bummer. Hope your Son recovers soon. As someone who has never had chicken pox, I understand the seriousness of this situation. Hopefully you have insurance and it will be covered.
  11. I was on Encore last week with my wife and 9 year old. The ship has absolutely everything a kid or teenager could want. My son loved the Laser Tag, Speedway, and VR Games. Every young person I saw around the ship looked like they were having a great time. Highly recommended.
  12. It's official. I just got the email below re: my Oct 2nd sailing on Encore: Dear Valued Guest, On behalf of Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), we thank you for your loyalty and for making us your vacation of choice. We have important information regarding cruises visiting Canada. Travel partners should share the below information with guests who may be affected. As you prepare for your upcoming sailing, we want to ensure that your embarkation process runs smoothly. As such, we want to make you aware of our latest health and safety protocols, as well as the travel requirements for the destinations you will visit. REQUIREMENTS FOR CRUISES THAT VISIT CANADA Effective for sailings September 30, 2022 forward, all COVID-19 travel requirements, including vaccination, mandatory use of ArriveCAN, and any testing and quarantine/isolation protocols will no longer be required for travelers entering Canada by land, air or sea. Although Canada has lifted its COVID-19 travel requirements, including those specific to cruise passengers, all guests must still meet the following NCL embarkation requirements to board their upcoming cruise. NCL EMBARKATION REQUIREMENTS Given the relaxation of global protocols and travel requirements, we have updated our health protocols to welcome all guests to sail with us, regardless of vaccination status. As such, all guests ages 12 years and older, must provide proof of one of the following: 1. Proof of completed series of one-dose or two-dose vaccination regimen. Please visit www.ncl.com/sail-safe for a full list of accepted vaccines and additional information.' OR 2. Proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen or NAAT test (i.e., PCR) taken within three days of the embarkation date. Guests 6 months to 11 years are welcome aboard with no restrictions. While we welcome unvaccinated guests, it is the responsibility of the guest to be aware of any local protocols and/or travel restrictions in place at the visiting destinations at the time of sailing. We cannot wait to welcome you onboard.
  13. I was on Sky this past March for a 3 night run to Key West and Nassau. NCL did a nice job with the refurb on this ship, however with that said it is an old ship and lacks the bells and whistles of the newer Breakaway class vessels. The pool area is small and pretty sad, didn't use it at all during our trip. Service was great as it is on all NCL ships. Le Bistro was excellent, we ate there two out of the 3 nights. Casino was so smoky that I only played for about an hour the entire weekend. On the newer ships with the sealed off smoking area I normally play for a lot longer than this.
  14. This is the best news I've gotten in awhile! Boarding Encore on Sunday and was super stressed about the COVID testing.
  15. Food Republic is a must visit for lunch. Possibly the best specialty restaurant available fleetwide.
  16. Did you have to stop at ArriveCAN because you didn't do it online? Or is it required by all passengers?
  17. Why wouldn't someone want a Butler? Just an added convenience if you want it.
  18. Just received a notification that Skagway has been replaced with Icy Strait Point on my upcoming sailing on the Encore 10/2. Can any recent cruisers offer suggestions on best excursions/things to do in Icy Strait? Thanks.
  19. I'm a NCL loyalist that dabbles in RCCL from time to time. What port are you looking to sail from? Bliss, Escape, and Encore are all incredible.
