A seat belt isn't designed to save your life, it is designed to keep you in your seat. Possibly saving your life or preventing a serious injury is just an added bonus. If a plane changes direction suddenly in any direction and you would not be in your seat, unless you are belted. Seatbelts on planes are not there in case the plane hits something but to keep you in your seat in case of sudden direction changes.

You have to wear a belt when in a vehicle travellingvat speeds up to 130kms/h (legally), why wouldn't you when travelling at 1000kms/hour.

The buses are put on to alleviate the load on the tram from the station pier. As mentioned the buses drop you at the edge of the city, the trams going into the cbd from where the bus drops you are free, just make sure you get back to that stop to get back again.

Congratulations guys, staying together for any length of time takes commitment and 23 years is commendable. We married young compared to you (21 and 23) and are coming up to 36 years this October. Coincidentally we also had blueberry pancakes yesterday for dessert but with cream rather than syrup, delicious. Not into racing but an Aussie doing well makes me pleased.

Ì may loosen the belt slightly so I can manoeuvre a better angle but the belt always stays on., turbulence can happen anytime and as happened recently, people didn't have time even though alerted.
